Chapter 56 Hunting Festival and Parade

The first day of the hunting season celebration, at Ferm Dessert Shop in the Central District.

Ina was wearing a simple long skirt, a long-sleeved loose top, and a silver ornament adorning her fair and fragrant neck.

At the agreed time, I opened the door and walked into the store.

The interior was exquisite; this was his first impression.

It should be said that it is worthy of being a business located in the central area, serving the rich and upper class people.

Different from the yellow walls and earthen bricks of ordinary stores.

The walls were the same as those of the Magician's Guild, painted all the way to the ceiling white.

The protruding load-bearing columns on the four sides are specially used to hold tables and chairs, and the wooden boards with a similar color to the floor bricks exude elegance in their simplicity.

Add to that the warmth inside, the rich aroma of coffee and the scent of baked goods that permeate your nose.

It is enough to make people happy both physically and mentally.

Rich people really know how to enjoy life, Ina couldn't help but sigh.

She turned around and went up to the second floor. Such luxurious shops were rare in a small town like Lei Shi.

Since there are a lot of seats reserved for wealthy businessmen and the upper class, it is usually only people with residences in the central area who come here.

But when it comes to the festival, the annual grand festival, reservations are almost required, and no one seems to mind spending a little more money on these days.

The restaurant was filled with young men and women who had a decent income or some savings.

Ina even met a neighbor who was much older than her and whom she knew from the same community in the South Side.

Men wear neat and proper formal suits and tuxedos.

The ladies and young ladies wore brightly coloured dresses.

Although due to the weather, they were not able to wear as thinly as Ina, and were unable to fully show their charm.

But many people still put on foundation, eye shadow and lipstick.

"Young people in love at festivals are amazing."

Despite being an inherent sight that can be seen anywhere in the city every year.

Ina couldn't help but sigh from the bottom of her heart.

The second floor was similar to the first floor, and the end could be seen at a glance. Ina quickly found Anya sitting near the window.

She was already tasting the cake.

"Ina, you're here." An Ya Si swallowed the pastry in her mouth with her drink and greeted her warmly.

"Miss, don't you think it's rude for you to have a good meal before your friends eat?"

Ina glanced at her a few times, and moved her eyes several times to the empty plate and the white porcelain plate with only half a piece of cake left.

"What's wrong?" An Ya Si asked puzzledly.

I was being too sentimental to think you would realize it.

"No, nothing. It doesn't matter."

Ina pulled out a chair and sat down with An Yasi facing each other.

It is worthy of being a restaurant that specializes in serving the rich.

Even though the guest table was full of people, one of the waiters in charge of reception still noticed Ina who had just sat down.

He handed over some water and asked if anyone needed anything.

Ina ordered a strawberry cream cake, a honey butter toast, and a cup of iced milk tea.

In fact, she prefers to eat saltier breakfast.

But there is no cheese and ham toast or grilled sausage and omelette on the paper menu of the dessert restaurant.

The person next to him also ordered:

"I also want a strawberry cake, a chocolate cake, and a cream waffle."

"Haven't you eaten yet?" The white-haired girl said in surprise after the waiter left.

"Can't I just have two?"

An Yasi answered unhappily with an expression as if asking a weird question.

"Just forget what I said. I hope you can still button up that skirt you bought this year!"

Ina picked up the cup and took a sip of water, thinking about turning the topic to the side that interested her.

"Why do you think the princess would come to this small town?"

Ina asked casually, looking out the window.

The streets were crowded with pedestrians, and their clothes of different colors formed a dark ocean of color. The flow of people was rising and falling like surging waves.

Looking down from her vantage point, she could see dozens of copper hats moving among the crowd, trying to maintain order.

"Don't you know that Ina, who is called a "scholar" in the school, actually doesn't know something?"

Anya Si said playfully.

"What's so strange about this? What the hell is the name of a scholar?"

"So what's going on?"

"You've heard of Blackstone Fortress, right?" An Ya Si finished the last piece of cake and asked back, looking straight into the green eyes.

"The fortress that fell nine years ago, I remember, was due to the rebellion of the dark elves and the attack of the orcs... Does this have anything to do with the big shots coming here?"

Meikos has mentioned this tragedy many times in class, and expressed grief and sympathy for those who suffered misfortune in the disaster.

Ina was still quite impressed.

And even though she had left the school and had almost no access to information, she could still hear this in the conversations of many South District residents.

Because the fortress is not far from this small town.

"It's the tenth year. Mela Elsa Fullant, the seventh princess of the kingdom, has come here specifically to pay tribute and pray for the people who suffered the tragedy ten years ago."

"I don't know if it was a personal wish, but it was most likely the king's will to appease the people. The nobles have always been good at this."

"In addition to Her Royal Highness the Seventh Princess, there is also the Fifth Princess who is heading to Perth, and the Fourth Princess of Manlunbel, a medium-sized city in the Earldom of Fernherhis."

"How did you know?"

Ina was a little stunned. An Yasi didn't seem to be a girl who liked reading historical documents or delving into things that had nothing to do with her.

Gossip and delicious food don’t count.

"Who do you think I am?" The girl opposite Ina puffed out her chest and said proudly:

"She's the daughter of a shop owner who has established a foothold in the city. As long as it's a major event, I can find out as much as I want."

The two chatted about some random things until a maid in a brown dress brought the food they ordered.

The sweet, fluffy cream melts in your mouth, paired with the unique texture of the cake.

Even Ina felt that this small piece of pastry costing more than thirty groats was not that unacceptable.

No wonder An Yasi rated it so highly... She shook it and put it in her mouth, feeling the satisfaction that the sugar brought to her brain.

At the same time, she noticed that customers began to move closer to the window to take up seats.

The windows on the second floor are not as luxurious as those in churches or by noble families, but for the purpose of providing ample lighting, there are quite a few of them.

Only part of the space was occupied by tables and chairs, and there was still quite a bit of space left.

The crowds filling the streets had separated into two sides at some point, with soldiers lined up on the outside, shouting from time to time to maintain order.

The avenue, which was wide enough for six carriages, managed to squeeze out enough space for three carriages to pass.

To prevent citizens from pushing and shoving their way out, the soldiers were spaced only one to two meters apart.

The avenue was several hundred meters long, and Ina estimated that there were about 400 defenders deployed on this section of urban road in the central area.

And this is just to welcome the visitors.
