Teyvat Survival Guide

Chapter 13: The Doubtful Wind Slime

While explaining to Paimon, Traveler Kongya settled Adeline down and returned to the restaurant.

Seeing this, Wendy pulled Kong over to discuss the matter. A god, a slime, an outsider, and emergency food sat at the dining table and ate and chatted.

"Okay, I know. We will help you contact the alchemist." Paimon's cheeks were stuffed full and he chewed slowly. "But, Gulu, after we contact the alchemist, how should we tell you?"

"When the time comes, just ask him to come find me at the old place." Wendy responded cheerfully.

"The old place..." Paimon forked a piece of meat, thought for a while, and suddenly realized, "...in the palm of your statue? It doesn't sound reliable!"

"Who said it was that place? I was talking about the big tree where the wind rises." Wendy retorted, holding the apple.

"Sell it!" Paimeng stomped his feet in anger.

"Hey."

And so they ate their meal while bickering.

By the time everything was settled, lunch was almost over.

Wendy took a piece of paper to wipe her mouth, thanked Diluk for the hospitality, then said goodbye to everyone and left the restaurant holding Samuel.

Wendy held the two bottles of wine that Master Diluk gave her before she left in one hand, and held Samuel in the other, her eyes curved with a smile.

Samuel blinked his eyes and felt like the tower in the hands of Li Tianwang.

"Lord Barbatos...are you going to build a body for me?" Samuel thought for a long time before speaking.

"Yes, you are from another world after all, and you were a human before. It must be inconvenient for you to have a slime body, right?" Wendy admired the bottle and put it in her bag. "I hope you don't blame me for taking the initiative."

"How could...how could I blame you for taking the initiative?" Samuel stuttered.

If he could really get rid of the slime's body, he would be overjoyed. Why would he blame the person for acting on his own initiative?

This can even be said to be the most important thing for Samuel at the moment.

In the two days since he traveled through time, he observed that except for wild animals that would not actively attack slimes, both humans and hillbillies had a high probability of hunting slimes.

The elements on the slime can be used for extraction, and the gel on the slime can be used for cooking.

For humans, slime is a natural treasure that is both useful and abundant.

For the Hillilchur people, slime is a natural material that is easy to use and available in large quantities.

It is very difficult for a slime to survive in this continent of Teyvat.

Although you can choose to stay in the forest with animals all the time, just avoid humans and hillbillies when you encounter them.

However, Samuel was just a high school student who was about to take the college entrance examination.

He was originally a human being.

I have been in an environment where I communicate with people, and suddenly I came to another world, all connections were suddenly cut off, and I was suddenly separated from my family.

If it weren't for meeting a familiar character, Wendy, Samuel would probably have collapsed in no time.

The more a certain wind slime thought about it, the more moved he became. This incident was no less than allowing a paralyzed person to stand up again.

"I don't even know how..."

Wendy interrupted Samuel and said, "If you want to thank me, we can do it together sometime later."

After saying this, he skipped the topic and took out one of the bottles, holding it in his hand and observing it under the sunlight:

"This wine tastes really good. Just by looking at its color, I can tell that it's the kind of wine that I can't afford even if I spend all my money..." Wendy observed and sighed, "Master Diluk is so generous..."

Thinking about the many rare and precious wines in Master Diluk's house, Venti was thinking about how to get more. But at the same time, he felt that it would be a bit embarrassing if he relied on his status as the God of Wind to ask for wine.

...although it doesn't give me much face.

So he thought about it for a long time, and Samuel, who was grateful and a little sad, was taken out and held high with a confused look on his face.

Wendy smiled gently as she looked at the wind slime that turned light blue and almost transparent under the sunlight.

"Samuel, after you become a human, why don't you get along well with Master Diluk?" Wendy said, "Think about it, he has a lot of precious wines in his house!"

Before Samuel could respond, the corners of his mouth couldn't stop rising, and he started laughing to himself, "Hehehe."

Samuel: "..."

Emo's emotions were forced to end, and a certain apple-flavored wind slime suddenly remembered the fear of being dominated by the drunk Wendy last night.

When it comes to refilling the cup, he really doesn't know how to control the portion at all!

"...Lord Barbatos, why don't you drink less?" Samuel said worriedly, "Drinking too much is not good for your health. If it really affects your health, I will definitely not let you drink no matter what."

"You won't let me drink no matter what?" Wendy asked in surprise.

"No, I mean, if your drinking affects your health..." Samuel was interrupted before he could finish his words.

“Then I’ll… go and smell it, shall I?

“Smell it!

"It's okay to smell it, right?"

Wendy buried her face in the slime affectionately and rubbed it like a spoiled child.

Sure enough, after a while, Samuel started to bubble.

The little boy is really too foul...

……

After the incident, Wendy found a sunset fruit tree, hid in the shade of the tree, and sat on the grass to enjoy the cool air.

Samuel stood on the grass looking at the sundowners on the tree and tried to jump up to touch them.

After realizing that he couldn't do it, his thoughts flew to other places.

After a while, Samuel suddenly thought of a question:

It shouldn't be possible to transform into a human form only through alchemy, right?

"Lord Barbatos."

"What's wrong, my little slime?" Wendy, who was enjoying the cool breeze with her eyes closed, opened one eye and looked at Samuel beside her, "Do you need me, the Wind God, to do anything?"

He suddenly thought of something and added:

"But you didn't let me drink. No matter what you ask, I won't answer you."

Samuel: "..."

Lord Barbatos, I clearly added a prerequisite when I said not to let you drink!

A certain wind slime is about to swell up into a floating spirit.

"Lord Barbatos, do I have to go through alchemy to become a human?" Samuel thought Wendy was joking and asked directly.

Wendy stared at the wind slime on the grass with her open emerald green eye, with the corners of her mouth slightly raised.

Samuel looked at Wendy for a long time, but saw no sign of her speaking.

The Wind Slime jumped left and right, trying to come up with a solution.

He pondered for a while and asked tentatively:

"...After I transform, I will have a good relationship with Master Diluk."

“——In fact, apart from alchemy, elemental creatures are originally composed of elements.

"Since it is composed of elements, its form can naturally change as it pleases.

“Like me, I was originally just a wisp of wind. Once my own elemental power is sufficient, I can change my form.

"And if I must say, your elemental abundance is much stronger now than mine was then." Wendy said a lot of things at once.

Samuel received too much information at once and his eyes widened.

He was stunned for a moment, shook his body and continued to ask:

"Then why did Lord Barbatos go looking for the alchemist?"

"Because the best alchemist that the travelers can find should be the chief alchemist of the Knights, Albedo." Wendy explained, "Albedo is usually in the snowy mountains, and the snowy mountains... it seems that something interesting is going to happen?"

Samuel was curious: "Hey, what's interesting?"

Wendy said "Hey hey" and kept it a secret: "I won't tell you yet."

He turned around and stood up again and asked, "Do you want to go take a look together?"

Now that you say so, how can I not go... A certain wind slime muttered in his heart.

"I'm just asking you." Wendy said suddenly.

"I told you not to listen to my privacy!!"

"Hey."
