In the center of the hall, three babies were in the arms of Nanchen, Shenwen, and Huaheng, and Yanan also sat with them in the center. Master Huijia led all the disciples to enter the venue quietly and sat cross-legged in front of the altar. Yiyi Ling Wuxin's family, Bailu Yexiao's family, An Yi and Beibei, Luo Lili, Shasha, Yali, Yang Fan and other seven women also came with their husbands to watch the ceremony. The spectators kept quiet and sat on the periphery.

First, the monk Huijia led his disciples to chant sutras, which prayed for the babies' safety, health, and wisdom. The chanting was peaceful and melodious, creating a sacred atmosphere. The three babies, Dudu, Diandian, and Shanshan, could stay quietly in their father's arms without crying or making a fuss, and even watched curiously with their eyes rolling around.

Then the purification process begins. Monk Huijia holds a pure bottle and uses a willow branch to sprinkle pure water, symbolizing the purification of the environment and the soul, and bringing good luck to the baby and the people around him.

Then comes the prayer. Monk Huijia recites prayers for the babies, expressing his best wishes for the babies' future lives. He hopes that the babies can be blessed by the Buddha during their growth, stay away from suffering, and be full of love and kindness.

The last part is the dedication session, where the merits of chanting and praying are dedicated to the babies and all sentient beings, hoping that everyone can obtain happiness and peace.

This blessing by the monk is really meaningful. For the family, the blessing ceremony by the monk is a spiritual sustenance, which makes them full of confidence and hope for the baby's future. Such a ceremony also inherits the beliefs and values ​​in traditional culture. The 100-day banquet itself is a time for relatives and friends to gather together. The blessing ceremony by the monk can better unite everyone's family affection and bless the baby's growth together.

After the blessing ceremony, Nanchen presented generous gifts to each of the masters who participated in the blessing ceremony, and personally led them to the main banquet venue to have a feast with the villagers. This is also what the eldest brother Ling Wuxin meant. People need some faith, more or less, and their villagers also need it. Of course, the meals prepared for the masters this time are all vegetarian meals. They cannot do things that will destroy their believers' worldview and disillusion their faith in public. This is the only meal that needs to follow Buddhist rules. The subsequent receptions are all private banquets, and you can eat whatever you want.

The seats for Yanan sisters and their friends were also arranged on the wide and flat grain drying ground. Here, the sun shone brightly and the view was wide. Friends and relatives sat together, laughing and talking, sharing the joy and happiness together.

There are rows of dining tables on the threshing ground, covered with festive tablecloths, and the tableware is neatly arranged, which looks particularly solemn and warm. The most important thing is that every dish here is carefully cooked by our own people, which makes people feel a sense of accomplishment at first glance. The atmosphere at the banquet was very warm. Everyone enjoyed the rich food while talking about the big and small things in life. This is an atmosphere that is difficult to achieve on weekdays. Such a grand banquet put together undoubtedly adds more solemnity and ritual to this happy event.

When ordinary people discuss how big a banquet is, they always measure it by how many tables are set up. If it is a small banquet with 10 or 8 tables, no one will listen to you at all; if it is a medium banquet with 50 or 60 tables, you can brag about it with your back straight; but if it is a large banquet with more than 100 tables, you don’t need to brag about it. That is a real big banquet, because others will chase you and ask you how so-and-so knows so many distinguished guests, and even if you can’t even recognize all the people, you can still tell a lot about the banquet.
