Spiritual power and material power can be transformed into each other. In war, there is no insurmountable boundary between the subjective and objective worlds.

It is always emphasized that human spiritual power can play a decisive role in the outcome of war.

War is a complex and ever-changing process in which the material and spiritual forces of the warring parties constantly interact with each other.

In military activities, we must rely more on talent and less on theoretical regulations.

The war plan must be constantly revised according to the actual situation of the war, but also attention must be paid to keeping it relatively stable.

In military activities, people must respect theories, laws, and old knowledge, but they must not be completely at the mercy of them. That is, they must always proceed from the specific actual conditions of the war, combine theory with practice, creatively apply military theories that reflect the general laws of war in light of specific circumstances, and transform, adapt, and reform military theories into a specific law of war guidance that conforms to the actual combat conditions, an "ability" to guide war that is "integrated" with their own thoughts and actions.

Even a scientific theory of war can only be transformed into an effective law of war guidance after being transformed, tested and adapted in war practice.

Sometimes it is necessary to summarize the laws into clear points as criteria for action, and sometimes it is necessary to use conventional methods as the basis for action.

Containing the dual meanings of "necessity" and "freedom", they require people to follow certain constraints and be bound by certain rules; at the same time, they also give people a certain degree of initiative, freedom and flexibility in their cognition and actions.

"When the parties involved in a war follow such theoretical truths, they should only deeply understand the spirit of these truths, and should not regard them as external, rigid laws."

The same parts should be at least as many as possible; in other words, the method should apply to the situations that are most likely to occur.

Methodology is not only indispensable, but also has great advantages. That is, the repeated use of the same method can achieve a level of proficiency, precision and reliability in command, thereby reducing resistance in war and making the machine easier to operate.

Method plays a greater role in tactics than in strategy.
