Many residents experienced difficulty breathing, so they wanted to go to the cave entrance to breathe fresh air, but the people at the cave entrance wanted to escape and squeezed in, causing chaos in the tunnel several times.

They stayed in the cave for dozens of hours.

In the end, thousands of people suffocated to death.

This is the "June 5" tunnel tragedy.

It is hard to imagine what it feels like for Chongqing, one of the "three major furnaces", to have everyone squeezed into a narrow corridor.

Although we don’t study Chongqing’s history textbooks, we should at least understand this history. We should also know that Chongqing is not only an internet celebrity city, but also a heroic city.
