If one forgets the seven emotions, how can he know that there are ten precepts?"

"Those who practice gargling and swallowing, breathing in and out, are wrong. Those who practice nourishment and collection laugh at tranquility and think it is foolish. Those who like to take away the energy of heaven and earth by taking things, are unwilling to rest and eat. Those who like to concentrate their thoughts and collect the essence of the sun and the moon, are unwilling to conduct themselves. Sitting alone and holding your breath, how can you know that there is nature? Those who bend their bodies and exhaust their bodies, do not know the meaning of non-action."

"Taking Yin and taking the Qi of women is different from shrinking a golden tortoise. Nourishing Yang and drinking women's milk is different from refining elixirs. By analogy, there are countless examples. However, they are all Tao, but they cannot be the whole of the Great Dao. They are limited to a method or skill in the Great Dao that can achieve success, happiness and longevity, and are called human immortals."

"There is another type, who are happy with the short-term, but tired of the long-term, and are not careful in their work, and miss the time when bandits trample on the sedan chair, and end up getting sick, and not being able to prolong their life. There are also many such people in the world."

“Refine Qi to become spirit, refine spirit to return to emptiness, refine emptiness to merge with the Dao, resolve cause and effect and merge with the Dao to become a saint, cultivate the Great Luo Dao Fruit, transcend the ordinary and become a saint, indestructible, unaffected by cause and effect, omniscient, omnipotent, the Dao of Heaven is immortal, and the saint is immortal.”
