"You guy..."

Madame Octopus was clearly taken aback by Balgon's usual respectful words, and she was so angry that the veins on her forehead bulged.

However, before she could utter the next sentence, Balgon continued on his own:

"If Madam needs it, I can provide her with complete information about this person, including but not limited to her current location."

"Madam also needs to pay me the corresponding price."

“Sure, Corleone will pay anyway.” Madam Octopus’s bulging veins on her forehead subsided, and her expression softened.

The King of the Wind, who was standing to the side, also recovered from his embarrassment, puffed out his chest, and put on an arrogant look that said, "That's right, I'm rich."

But Balgon did not immediately begin to answer the questions as he had done before.

Instead, it repeated and emphasized what it had said before:

"If you need information about that Spirit Clan woman, Madam, you will need to pay me the corresponding price."

Now both Madam Octopus and King of the Wind understood.

One-click payment is not available.

"So, what is the price?" Madam Octopus steadied herself, bracing herself for Balgon's unreasonable demands, and asked cautiously.

“A promise that may require a long time for you to fulfill, Madam.” Balgon’s eyes lit up as he met Madam Octopus’s questioning gaze directly:

"A promise?" Madam Octopus was completely taken aback by this answer, her eyes filled with even greater doubt: "May I hear what it is first?"

“Of course.” Balgon had reverted to his initial agreeable demeanor, responding with a beaming smile.

"The promise is that, for the rest of Octopus Lady's long life, she must protect a player named Lu Li."

"Lu Li?" Madam Octopus and King of the Wind raised their eyebrows and immediately searched their minds for all information related to this name.

The result was naturally nothing.

Then, the two started to make connections with the surname 'Lu', and their thoughts eventually drifted to the Limit Starfield, landing on that unfortunate little force that Ragnar had turned upside down.

"This Lu Li...could he be a player from the Lu family's faction in the Extreme Starfield?" Madam Octopus hesitated before confirming with Balgon:

"Providing him with protection, do you mean you want me to go after Ragnar?"

Balgon shook his head:

"As far as I know, there is no player named Lu Li in the Lu family's forces in the Extreme Starfield."

"So, Madam Octopus, you don't need to worry about having to deal with Ragnar immediately once you've made the promise."

"Where is Lu Li?" King of the Wind asked curiously.

"If you want Octopus to provide him with shelter, you first have to tell us where he is."

"How else can we protect them? We can't just offer them emotional support, can we?"

Balgon shook his head again:

"I don't know where he is either."

"That's why I said in the beginning that this is a promise that will require a long time for Mrs. Octopus to fulfill."

Upon hearing this, the two star field overlords finally understood.

This Lu Li, who needs protection, may be hiding for some reason and will not appear for a while.

It may even have never appeared in this universe, only to suddenly appear at some point in the future.

It's unclear why Balgon, the information seller, would make such a strange request as payment.

But the outcome was undoubtedly favorable to the buyer, Madam Octopus!

It's like coming across a roadside stall and seeing something you like that you want to buy.

The vendor shoved the goods into your hand and then dismissively knocked the money you offered away.

Just as you were filled with doubt, the stall owner solemnly said that he didn't want money, he only wanted a promise from you.

If you promise to help an elderly woman cross the street whenever you see her, then you can have the goods directly.

No contract is required, and there are no legal obligations.

There are no burly men following you around all the time, monitoring whether you keep your promises.

What's the difference between this and giving it away for free?

Absolutely not!

However, considering Balgon's strength and fearing the terrifying combat power of the mysterious Gobelin tribe behind him, Madam Octopus cautiously confirmed further:

"Is there any other specific information about this player named Lu Li?"

"For example, their race, appearance, and height?"

"In the vast universe, finding someone based on just one name is like looking for a needle in a haystack..."

The King of the Raging Wind nodded in agreement, agreeing that the questions raised were quite reasonable.

There must be some distinctive features.

Otherwise, if she protects every Lu Li she encounters, how can Madam Octopus be the overlord of the Neptune Star Region?

He's become the head of a relief station!

Even such a reasonable question remained unanswered by Balgon.

Goebel shook his green head again, giving an answer that left Madam Octopus and the King of the Wind completely bewildered:

No further specific information is available.

Are you really determining your target based solely on a name?!

Madam Octopus was a little dumbfounded.

After confirming it again, they finally obtained another, albeit less crucial, piece of key information—

Lu Li is a man.

And then I couldn't get any more information from them.

Based on her divinely favored intuition and her experience of dealing with Goebel over the past twenty years, Madame Octopus was certain that Balgon knew far more comprehensively and in greater detail than he had said.

But why not tell the whole story?

Isn't he genuinely seeking protection from Madam Octopus?

Or are there other considerations?

The water here seems to be much deeper than I imagined!

If conditions allowed, Madam Octopus felt that it wouldn't be unreasonable for her to calm down and consider this for three days and three nights.

Unfortunately, Balgon doesn't seem to be planning to give her much time.

After confirming with the King of the Winds that only his name and gender could be provided, Balgon asked directly:

"Your Excellency, Overlord of Neptune, are you willing to accept this promise?"

After a moment's hesitation, Madam Octopus nodded and said:

"no problem."

"But it must be within my power. If I am not strong enough to provide protection, or if that guy named Lu Li does not appreciate my help, I may be powerless to do anything."

“Of course.” There wasn’t a trace of displeasure in Balgon’s eyes, as if he had expected this all along.

“Since Madam has already made the promise, then I will keep my word and inform Madam of the information about that spirit woman.”

"Madam, would you like the King of the Winds to excuse himself?"

Madam Octopus glanced at her old friend beside her, then shrugged at Balgon and said:

"Just say it, there's no need to avoid the question."

"That Spirit Clan woman is named Sun Ying." Balgon nodded and began to state the information directly:

"Twenty years ago, before the Gray Domain disappeared, she accumulated enough resource points to gain the qualification to enter the Demon Realm..."
