The girl under her command is on the verge of death, and there's an unidentified boy nearby who thinks he's hiding well. The body she's currently inhabiting doesn't have any effective healing medicine, and she lacks the ability to quickly save lives…

To Iris and Alexia's surprise, Charles Unsett suddenly rushed out, wielding a staff taller than himself and shouting:

"Stop! The others are coming soon! My staff is recording and transmitting everything in real time!"

The man in black, now with a different core, slipped away.

Terrified, Charles stumbled towards the girl, pulled out all the healing potions he had, and poured them onto her wounds, crying and shouting, "Don't sleep, Alexia, don't sleep! You can't die, you can't die—"

Iris, who appeared to have run away but was actually hiding to the side, was relieved to see that the boy's crying hadn't delayed anything. Then she sensed that many men in black were gradually approaching, but there was no sign of the rescue the boy had mentioned. He was probably just bluffing.

She silently gripped the black-clad man's staff.

After sprinkling the healing potion, Oncetin found he couldn't contact the outside world. Tears and snot were still mixed together, but he didn't dare waste a second. He struggled to pick up Alexia, who had only glanced at him once before falling into a coma, and ran outside.

Iris thought to herself that if it weren't for her, these two wouldn't have been able to run two miles before the men in black arrived and took care of them.

While dealing with the other men in black, she kept an eye on the two men's movements. She also noticed that the area was surrounded by a magical barrier and was planning to remove it so that the boy could take Alexia out as soon as possible.

Just then, she saw the bell on the boy's waist light up, and without realizing it, little Ansetin led Alexia through the barrier. Then she understood how the boy had broken in.

After she had dealt with all the men in black, she followed Alexia's scent and found the girl being carried onto a stretcher by an adult. The boy who had carried her all the way had collapsed to the ground, exhausted, and was being picked up by an adult. He no longer had the strength to cry, but was still sobbing softly.

"Her abdomen was stabbed open so big, and she didn't make a sound..."

The boy was clearly terrified, repeating the same phrase over and over, while the adults around him had various expressions.

Iris couldn't bear to watch any longer, so she quietly found a secluded spot and began to ponder the body's fate.

After she left, this body was completely dead. What if someone finds it? Should we dig a hole somewhere and bury it? Or should we set it on fire?

In her moment of turmoil, a sudden chill ran down her spine. Her keen sixth sense sounded an alarm without warning, and she immediately gripped her staff, on high alert. However, after quickly scanning her surroundings, she still couldn't find anything amiss. Then, as if possessed, she looked up and her heart nearly stopped when she saw the dark figure on the terrace in mid-air.

The dark figure had been standing there watching her for an unknown amount of time. A gust of wind blew, causing the figure's long hair to flutter. However, what attracted Iris's attention even more was the staff that the figure had raised high in front of her the instant she looked over—

Iris immediately felt a physiological suffocation, as if her mouth and nose were suddenly blocked by an unknown object. Her vision went black and she lost all her strength.

Soon, she felt a pain in her shoulder, and then she collapsed to the ground, feeling utterly powerless.

She took a moment to react, then caught a glimpse of the silver high heels firmly planted on her shoulder out of the corner of her right eye.

Iris felt the cool strands of hair fall on her neck, giving her goosebumps—

The other person was bending down to examine the dense bloodstains on her body.

When Iris kills someone, she usually tries to avoid getting her hands on other people's blood. However, the original owner of this body didn't have this awareness when she stabbed Alexia, so most of the blood on Iris now comes from Alexia.

She wasn't too worried about her current situation because she could send her consciousness back to Lawrence at any time. She had come in such a hurry that she didn't even know who had injured Alexia, but she knew Alexia was a child of the Ramirez family, so this matter must be serious.

She was also unaware that this matter had some subtle connection to her previous experiences.

"It's really you."

The woman's gentle and calm voice came almost close to her ear, and in contrast to her "amiable" attitude was the finger that tapped Iris's nape.

"Sothos sent you to capture Alexia alive, didn't he?"

Iris couldn't answer; judging from the situation, the other person knew more than she did.

"Alright, alright, it's okay. I'll reunite you with your master later, and then you can say whatever you want."

The last thing Iris saw here was the other person's fingers gripping her neck tighter and tighter.

She was strangled to death by the woman.

Once her consciousness returned to her room in the Lawrence Underground City, Iris thought with lingering fear:

This is definitely not a simple character. While others were still confused about Alexia's miserable state, the woman had already found the real "culprit" and seemed to know the truth behind it all.
