HP: Embrace the Darkness

Chapter 400 Draco opens gifts

Draco was in a daze.

Then... he was ruthlessly pulled into the cellar by Asseth.

There was only one person in the cellar.

In front of his desk, Snape waved his wand carelessly. In front of him were piles of gifts of various sizes, which were now being sorted and placed according to his thoughts.

This is not just for him, most of it was just sent by Nina and was a gift received by Asseth.

He was also the one who asked Arthur to bring Draco here, so he was not surprised to see Draco now.

Snape searched among the gifts, waved his wand and brought three items to Draco.

"Take it away."

Forced to be a gift organizer for a short while, Snape's tone was really not good.

Draco was still confused and did not accept it immediately.

Snape waited for a while and saw that the thing was still in the air. He impatiently raised his wand, and the gift swayed up and down in response to his movements.

"Malfoy, take your things."

"Ah... oh."

Draco woke up from a dream and hurriedly took the three gifts.

"Sev, there is also a gift from me." Asseth leaned over and reminded in a low voice.

Snape glanced at what he had just sent over.

Sure enough, the gift that Aces gave Draco was not there. When he looked again, he saw that the gift was still in the pile of gifts in front of him.

"You'd better deliver it yourself next time."

Snape waved his wand and sent the gift over, unable to help but whisper a warning.

"it is good."

Asseth agreed with a smile on his face.

The two of them were in a world of their own in the not-so-large cellar, isolated from other people. This was how Draco felt.

The last gift slowly hung in front of him.

The platinum peacock held out his hand and took the gift that flew over with the confusion of doubting the world.

He wanted to ask, but for some reason he felt he couldn't.

As soon as Asses came back, the task of sorting out the piles of gifts fell on him.

The potion master obviously preferred to spend time in the potion room than facing these gifts.

Snape went to the potions room.

The only ones left in the cellar were Asseth, who was sorting out the gifts, and Draco, who was holding four gifts with a confused look on his face.

"Brother." Draco endured it again and again, but couldn't help but call out to Asseth.

Asseth hummed casually, and kept moving his hands, opening and putting away gifts one after another.

"Aren't you going to open the gift?"

"……dismantle."

Draco reluctantly pulled himself out of his confusion and concentrated on opening the gift.

Of the four gifts, Anna and the Duke were together, placed in a box.

That box was probably an alchemy tool that shrunk the gift inside.

Draco reached in and pulled out a few items, the first being the Quidditch telescope he had wanted for a long time.

He had asked Asseth before, but Asses did not answer directly.

Unexpectedly, Anna gave it to him for Christmas, and it was even more exquisite than the one he saw.

Draco couldn't put it down and studied it for a while before looking at the second gift with anticipation.

The second gift was a broomstick he had never seen before and a full set of maintenance tools... and a piece of parchment?

Instructions?

Draco picked up the parchment curiously, then his eyes widened.

"Manor... Manor?"

Asasi, who was diligently taking care of the gifts, had an inexplicable and bad feeling.

He walked quickly to Draco, saw the parchment in Draco's hand, and was speechless for a while.

His father really knew how to lend flowers to Buddha.

The manor he just bought was given away like this. Should he be glad that it wasn't Prince's old mansion that was given away?

When he took away Prince's property from the goblin, he also bought several properties on a whim.

The most expensive and best among them is this manor, located in Godric's Hollow, left by a down-and-out unknown family.

Even the goblins don't know the exact origin.

"Brother, is something wrong?" Aces was silent for so long that Draco couldn't help but ask.

"No problem, you can ask the house elf to go over and tidy it up sometime, and then take the time to cast a spell and keep it as your safe house."

Aces wouldn't be stingy enough to ask for the gift back. Even if the Duke didn't give it, it would be of no use if he kept it in his hands. He might give it away in the end.

It doesn't matter if it's given to Draco now.

"Okay." Draco obediently put away the parchment title deed, and then continued to open the remaining gifts.

Only two of the remaining three were gifts, gifts from Artes and Snape.

The first thing Draco looked at was not the gift, but the dress that Anna sent.

As Asseth said, Anna received Draco's suggestion, and what she sent was indeed not white, but a deep black.

Draco picked it up and unfolded it.

Then he was surprised to find that there was a pattern on the dress, but he didn't know what material it was made of. It could only be seen from a specific angle.

Draco tried changing the angle and saw the pattern on it - a peacock outlined in dark green and indigo, with distinct feathers and beautiful black zircon eyes.

He was silent, and then he sighed seriously: "My godmother's vision is really good."

Aces nodded in agreement.

Anna has always had a good taste.

His godmother had good taste, so it would be even better if it was worn on him. Draco put away the dress happily, preparing to show off his style at the ball and stun everyone.

The next one was a gift from Snape.

When Draco unwrapped the gift, he was still a little confused and unreal. You must know that this was the first time he received a gift from their dean.

the first time!

The gift box was very simple, only a bottle of magic potion was placed inside.

The potion is golden yellow, and the liquid inside is like a jumping flying fish, flowing slowly.

It’s nice, it’s his favorite color.

Draco looked at the potion in his hand in surprise, shaking it from side to side to let the liquid inside flow.

"Put it away, this is the Elixir of Blessing." Seeing that Draco didn't recognize it, Artes couldn't help but remind him.

I'm afraid that this stupid kid didn't take the potion seriously and lost it.

"Elixir of Fortune, is this Elixir of Fortune?" Draco's hand holding the potion froze.

"Yes, it's of perfect quality. It's priceless in the market outside. It's extremely rare."

Draco picked up the potion, looked at it carefully, and then matched the potion in front of him with the legendary elixir of good fortune.

This kind of potion was time-consuming and troublesome to make, and he had never seen it before.

Seeing his actions, Asseth smiled, with a bit of pride and pride hidden in his smile.

There are not many potion masters in the magic world who can make elixirs, and even fewer of them are of perfect quality.

The Potions Master is the leader.

"The dean is so generous." Draco sighed, carefully and preciously putting away the potion.

Generous indeed.

Aces was a little sore, and his eyes swept towards the potion room without trace, as if he wanted to see what the people inside were doing through the door.

He hasn't received the gift from the Potions Master yet. I wonder what it will be this year?

The last one was a gift from Asseth.

Draco opened it expectantly.
