What's wrong with you?

Looking at Gladion, whose face was slightly flushed, Xing'er asked in confusion.

"No...nothing."

Seeing this, Xing'er didn't take it to heart and continued speaking.

"I wish my brother could win the game."

My brother, although he's always worried about me and overprotective, is incredibly good at Pokémon battles.

"Is that so? You really like your brother, right?"

"Ah."

At this moment, Kachi and the others, who had heard the explosion from Silvally's attack, also arrived at the scene.

"Xing'er! I was so worried about you. I'm so relieved to see you're alright."

Kachi sprinted to Xing'er at top speed and picked her up in his arms.

"Brother, Xing'er is alright now."

"But why is Gladio here too?" Kachi asked, puzzled.

"It's like this, I was in danger just now, and he saved me from the bad guys of the Skull Team."

“Oh, I see. Thank you, Gladion,” Kachi said.

"It was nothing, no need to thank me."

Upon hearing this, Ash turned and left to make a phone call. He never expected that such environmentally damaging behavior would occur at the summit of Mt. Lanakira, where the headquarters of the Alola League and a part of the Alola branch of the Pokémon Inspection Bureau are located. It seems that the person in charge of the security of this area needs to be replaced.

Ash can allow Team Skull to come and cheer for Guzma as spectators, but if they come to cause trouble, they will be killed without mercy.

"It's so good that Xing'er is alright," Mao said with a smile.

"Well, the cable car arrived very early, and I thought I could find the battlefield by myself. I'm sorry," Xing'er said apologetically.

"If there's a next time, Xing'er, you must wait until your brother comes to pick you up," Kachi said with a smile, patting Xing'er's head.

"Ah."

"If there's nothing else, I'll be going now."

After saying this, Gladio turned to leave.

"Brother, I'll cheer you on in today's match," Lillie said.

Gladio smiled, nodded, and then walked away.

"Is this brother Lillie's brother?" Xing'er asked.

"That's right, yes."

After saying that, Kaki called out to Gladion.

"Gragio, then we'll see you on the field."

Gladio didn't turn around or stop; he simply raised his hand and waved to indicate that everything was fine.

"What does this mean?" Xing'er asked, puzzled.

“Because he is my opponent today,” Kachi said.

"Ah! How could this be! That cool Gladio is my brother's opponent."

"Don't worry too much, Xing'er. You came all this way to cheer your brother on, so he's very confident."

"Brother, are you really okay?" Xing'er asked.

Seeing the brother and sister being all lovey-dovey, and realizing that the competition was almost over, Ash quickly urged everyone to hurry towards the venue so they wouldn't be late.

Since it was the first match of the day, Kachi went to the players' tunnel to prepare, while everyone else went to the stands to watch the game.

"Who should we cheer for today?" Mao asked.

“I’d still support Kachi, after all, he defeated my Vulcan Bug,” Mamane said.

"Everyone, I'm leaving the cheering and support for Kachi to you, because today I'm going to wholeheartedly cheer for my brother," Lillie said.

Seeing that it was almost time and the audience members had all taken their seats, the host and commentator, Shi Kuang, picked up the microphone and began to speak.

"Welcome everyone to the Alola League Manalo Conference competition venue."

Today, we welcome the semi-finals.

The first match of the semi-finals was between Gladgio and Káczy.

Both players in this match are highly skilled; what kind of exciting battle will they bring us next?

Upon seeing Gladion and Kaki enter, the two younger sisters in the audience, Lillie and Hoshino, called out to their brother in unison.

"Brother! Brother! Keep it up!" x2

Upon hearing this, Kachi immediately waved towards the audience and shouted,

"here!

As an older brother, nothing makes me happier than my sister's encouragement.

Gladio blushed and remained silent.

The referee for this match was Ms. Lizhi, who immediately gave everyone a performance of falling flat on her face upon entering the arena.

As expected, Miss Liz has always had a firm grasp on this field.

The competition rules have already been announced; it's a two-on-two match.

After announcing the rules, Liz added,

"In this match, I hope you will learn from each other and compete with all your might. I look forward to seeing you put on a great fight!"

Now, both sides, please send out your Pokémon simultaneously.

"Let's go, clatter clatter."

"Gala!"

"Come forth, you fiery-eyed werewolf!"

"Iwaro!"

Kaki sent out his vanguard general, Marowak, while Gladion threw out a High Ball and sent out his most trusted general, Lycanroc.

"Appearing before us are the Fire and Ghost type Alolan Marowak, and the Rock type Lycanroc."

"Theoretically speaking, the mane-wielding werewolf has the advantage, but unless they really fight it out, the outcome will be uncertain," Shi Kuang said.

There's no way around it; just like in the quarterfinals, Kiawe's Fire-type Pokémon could overcome the two Pokémon that Mamane currently only has.

Since all of Kiawe's current Pokémon are Fire-type, it's really difficult for him to defeat Gladion's Rock-type Lycanroc.

No matter which of the three is sent out, it will be countered.

Charizard is four times weaker than Lycanroc; it dies after taking a single Stone Spike attack, making it practically impossible to choose.

Even Alolan Marowak should be wary of Lycanroc's only priority move, Sucker Punch, in its Night Mode.

This trick is incredibly effective against Galactus.

The good news is that Gladion's Lycan doesn't seem to have learned Ambush yet.

Currently, only the Blazing Turtle has relatively high physical defense and should be able to hold its own.

However, there's another Pokémon behind Gladion that we don't know what it is. If it's Silvally, then even Turtonator would probably have a hard time taking it down.

"Mount Vera, I pray to you that you may protect those who are fighting."

After silently praying for a while, Liz immediately shouted,

"Now, let the battle begin!"

"Strike first, clack clack, unleash the bone boomerang."

"Rock Wolfman, get out of the way."

Alolan Marowak hurled a bone club at Lycanroc, but Lycanroc simply jumped up and easily dodged the highly effective attack.
