Chapter 284 Real World (4)

Jiang Ke's life returned to normal.

Compared with undergraduate life, the campus life of graduate students is not very surprising.

What’s even worse than undergraduate school is that even the small “indulgence” opportunities like skipping classes have been completely taken away.

His days seemed to be fixed in a pattern: attending lectures, taking anatomy courses, carefully making various detailed records, and racking his brains to write papers.

Ren Wens quit his job at the hospital and reported to the Non-Government Affairs Bureau. Jiang Kai did not stop him, nor did he take the opportunity to ask for a high price, so when Ren Wens stood in front of Jiang Ke with his suitcase, Jiang Ke was completely confused.

Ren Wensi was transferred directly from Jiangcheng to the city where Jiang Ke went to school.

Jiang Ke also naturally moved from the shabby graduate student dormitory where he had just lived for one day to an antique courtyard house near the school with trees, flowers and a private vegetable garden.

The Siheyuan was a property under Ren Wensi's name. The day Jiang Ke moved in, the property certificate changed hands.

The courtyard is more than 20 minutes' walk from the school. Ren Wens bought an electric bicycle to pick up Jiang Ke and take her back and forth between the school and the courtyard. Sometimes he is even more punctual than Jiang Ke, a hard-working graduate student.

Ever since Ren Wens bid farewell to his profession as a doctor, his originally busy and tight schedule has suddenly become relaxed, and he has a lot of free time.

This made it seem that Mr. Ren was very idle, which made Jiang Ke feel indignant.

Uncle Ren is very conscientious. When he is not at work, he takes care of all the chores such as cooking, walking the dog and cleaning.

Jiang Ke would share the housework with him when she got home.

But sometimes, when Jiang Ke saw those hands that should have been holding scalpels and saving countless lives soaked in the foam of the sink, he would feel sorry for Ren Wensi.

Those hands should have been performing miracles in the operating room, but now they can only deal with trivial household chores.

Jiang Ke never asked Ren Wens why he resigned.

This was Ren Wens' own choice, and he did not interfere too much.

Reason told him that he should respect and support Ren Wens' choice instead of questioning it.

But people are always emotional, and Jiang Ke will miss Director Ren countless times, who was able to command and strategize with ease in front of the operating table.

As the days passed, Jiang Ke later discovered that Ren Wens didn't even seem to do his work in the Non-Government Affairs Bureau anymore.

Every day when Jiang Ke walked out of the school gate, he could see him sitting on the small battery, with his upper body lying on the ground, playing boring mobile games with his hands, and his lower body supported by his legs, bent into an unusual proportion.

Every time he came in and out, he would make the female students cry with envy, but he himself was unaware of it.

It was not until Jiang Ke stepped out of the school gate that the charming and unconscious Uncle Ren would smile, hand Jiang Ke a cup of milk tea, and sometimes buy him a bucket of fried skewers, rain or shine.

The two of them were together all day long, and Jiang Ke was tired of looking at that face.

The ordinary life flows away like a quiet stream.

Buying groceries, shopping, walking the dog, they live a normal three-day life just like countless other ordinary couples.

One day, after dinner, the two of them were lying on the sofa watching a DVD. Jiang Ke suddenly asked, "Is the bureau very busy recently?"

Ren Wensi stuffed an orange slice into his mouth, and Jiang Ke shuddered from the sourness.

In the darkness, Ren Wensi's eyes were deep: "Why are you asking this suddenly?"

Jiang Ke stared at the projected image while chewing an orange that was so sour that it softened her teeth.

Jiang Ke: "I suddenly wonder why you are so free. I am a little uncomfortable seeing you right after class. Aren't you a busy person?"

Ren Wens smiled, turned his head over and kissed him on the lips.

Jiang Ke struggled for a while and put his hand on Ren Wensi's head: "Hey, hey! Please answer the questions directly and don't make any sneak attacks."

Cai Tou was originally lying at Jiang Ke's feet. Seeing the two humans entangled with each other, he thought they were playing, so he wagged his tail excitedly and then pounced towards Jiang Ke.

The big tongue licked the right half of Jiang Ke’s face from chin to temple.

Jiang Ke was frightened by Cai Tou's sudden attack and screamed in anger: "Cai Tou! Are you going to murder your father?"

Cai Tou woofed crisply, as if in response.

After "woof", he continued to pounce.

Jiang Ke was no match for the two dogs with her bare hands, so she gave in and resigned herself to her fate by being dragged into the bathroom by Ren Wensi.
