Chapter 258: Dragon (1)

No matter how unfortunate life is, we must live well.

The old people were sent away, the property was divided, and the two young ones were raised.

Xiao Shitou had to cross most of the village every day to bring food to his uncle. He was fair and handsome, and when he didn't speak, he looked no different from a normal young man.

But everyone in the village knew that he was a stupid man.

Little Shitou forgot about the Gap in the Ghost Gate and the promise he made with Long. His memory will always remain when he was 6 years old and followed his grandpa and uncle to collect the body of his father.

Every day when he opened his eyes, he said he was going to the Dragon Temple to find his father.

I hold Kai Ge'er in my arms every day and carefully remind him not to walk too far.

He looks for sheep every day and he says he has a lamb.

No one knew what he remembered or what he didn't remember. His brain seemed to be a pot of porridge, and he could only scoop up the things that left the deepest impression on him.

Until he was eighteen years old.

It was a long and cold winter.

He caught a cold and lay unconscious in bed.

Kaiger was captured by the villagers who broke in and taken to the mountain. His mother couldn't bear to leave Kaiger behind, so she cried and begged for mercy, hoping that everyone would spare her child's life.

My uncle’s lame legs made it so that he couldn’t walk, so he stayed at home to take care of Xiao Shitou.

He had a high fever for several days and became extremely thin.

After not eating or drinking for several days, her plump cheeks became sunken.

Little Shitou opened his eyes. Ever since he fell into water at the age of seven and his brain was damaged, it was rare for him to be so clear-headed.

Little Stone saw the dragon pushing the door open.

Xiaolong grew up, and the branch-like horn was bare with only a white butterfly left. The white butterfly flapped its wings and circled in the house, and finally landed on Xiaoshi's skinny fingertips.

Little Stone sat up from the bed, as if all the years of stupidity were just for this moment of clarity.

Little Stone called him: "Dragon."

The house was cold, so Long built a fire.

Under the orange-yellow firelight, the heartless and painless mountain spirits seemed to be tainted by human energy.

The dragon held Little Stone's raised hand.

Little Stone asked, "Where is my lamb?"

The dragon did not answer.

Little Stone looked around and asked again, "Where is my grandfather?"

The dragon remained silent.

Little Stone held his head and smiled, then looked at Long: "You slept for too long, have you forgotten how to speak?"

Long called his name: "Jiang Ke."

Little Stone opened his eyes slightly, and his eyes looked bright.

Little Stone looked at his palm and said, "It's a bit strange. How come I grew up so quickly?"

He flexed his bony fingers and said, "It's a bit scary, like when I saw my father's hand when I was a child."

Little Stone asked: "Long, am I going to die soon?"

Long shook his head and refused to speak.

Little Stone smiled and said, "Take me to find Kai Ge'er. I can't find him."

Long took Xiao Shitou and led him out the door.

Little Stone asked: "Why are your eyes closed? Can you see the road?"

Little Stone asked again: "Where are those little white butterflies? I remember there were so many of them. They like to land on your horns."

Little Stone said: "I am much taller than you. Do you grow taller just by sleeping?"

Long didn't say anything, just listened to him quietly.

Little Stone seemed to have endless things to say: "Where is Brother Kai? Why did you take me into the mountains?"

The dragon grabbed his wrist and leapt up with him.

Little Stone screamed in fear, and then he was delighted to fly with the wind: "I am flying."

Long suppressed his restless movements and said with a stern face: "Don't move."

Long is different now than before. In the past, Long talked a lot and had many questions every day.
