Chapter 250: Dragon (3)

After walking for a few dozen meters, the view suddenly opened up.

I saw a pool of water in front of me. The water was quite deep and I could see flashes of fluorescent light in the undercurrent.

There was a little boy in the middle of the pool with his eyes closed, seeming to be asleep.

What was strange was that he had tree-branch-like horns on both sides of his head, fair skin, and a delicate face, not like that of an ordinary human.

The voice appeared again: "You believe it this time, right? I am a dragon."

Little Stone was surprised because he had never seen anyone sit in water without sinking.

Little Stone: "Why do you have two branches stuck on your head?"

The voice was a little anxious: "This is a dragon horn!"

Little Stone frowned: "It's obviously a branch, and it has leaves."

The voice deflated: "It's a dragon horn, not a branch."

Little Stone: "Then show me what you look like when you turn into a dragon."

The voice sounded a little discouraged: "The dragon is too big to fit into this pond. I will crush you to death."

Little Stone exclaimed: "Then you are so fat!"

The voice was proud: "All our dragons are this big!"

Little Stone found a stone, sat down, and propped up his chin to look at the "dragon" in the pool.

Little Stone: "You look even smaller than me. Why are you lying there motionless? Won't you drown?"

Even if a dragon is really small, it cannot be called small: "I'm big!"

He added: "I am sleeping. Grandma said that I need to sleep more so that I can grow up."

Little Stone: "How can you talk to me when you are sleeping?"

Long: "This is called consciousness communication."

Little Stone didn't understand, so he lowered his head and touched the half-carved wooden sculpture.

Little Stone: "Are there any other dragons?"

Long said: "There should be, but I haven't seen it."

Little Stone: "How do you know you are a dragon if you haven't seen it?"

The dragon said, "The mountain god next door said I am a dragon."

Little Stone was curious: "Grandma Mountain God? Isn't she the Dragon God?"

Long was very sure: "There is no Dragon God, only the Mountain Goddess Grandma."

Little Stone asked again: "Are there really gods?"

The dragon actually didn’t know what the fairy in the little stone’s mouth was. He only knew how to sleep and grow up.

Life in the mountains is too boring, so his "butterfly" wanders among the mountains and forests, capturing information and smells in the air.

He saw the sunlight filtering through the gaps in the woods and heard the chirping of cicadas. He knew that there were earth dragons hiding in the mud and that humans had set traps in the forest.

He was very interested in this creature that walked upright on two legs, but the mountain god next door told him to stay away from humans.

He asked why, and she said, "Humans are the most complex creatures in the world."

Long didn't know what complexity was. He only knew that humans were interesting and the traps they made were also interesting.

Sometimes the dragons would follow humans and watch them cut bamboo, sharpen the strips into sharp points, and then bury them in pits.

What’s interesting is the lasso trap, which is a short piece of string. Once the rabbit’s feet are tied, it can no longer jump out.

Day after day, year after year, the dragon saw the grass wither and grow again, and the people who went into the mountains to hunt went from white hair to black hair.

The cracks in the cave are not difficult to find, and some naughty children also tried to get in, but got stuck halfway through, just like a turtle stranded in the river outside the mountain.

Later, adults didn’t allow people to get close to the crack, and word of mouth led to it becoming known as the “Gate of Hell.”

It is unknown when the "Dragon Temple" outside the mountain wall was built.

The dragon sometimes sleeps and sometimes wakes up. The time it spends sleeping is long and the time it spends waking up is short. In the eyes of the dragon, a person's life is just a brief moment.
