Crime Hunt Files: Bloody Angel

Chapter 137 The Dark Curse 8

Before dawn in the morning, Bai Ji'an had already gotten up.

He came out of the bedroom and glanced at the clock on the wall out of habit. Just as he was about to go to the kitchen to make himself a cup of fresh coffee, he saw a well-dressed man lying on the sofa.

"Howie?"

Bai Ji'an walked over and saw that the person was still sleeping, and suddenly felt nervous.

He reached out and touched He Wei's forehead, the temperature was normal.

He Wei opened his eyes and murmured: "You're awake."

"Are you OK?"

He Wei sat up tiredly. It seemed that no matter how expensive the sofa was, it was not for sleeping.

"I am fine."

"Then why don't you go into the house and sleep when you're here?" Seeing that He Wei was fine, Bai Ji'an got up and continued preparing coffee. "If you don't know this, people would think that an office as big as mine can't even prepare a bedroom."

He Wei followed Bai Ji'an to the restaurant, leaned against the wall, and looked at his back, "I came to you to ask something, but I didn't expect you were already asleep, so I didn't disturb you."

"Ah. Didn't I tell you that I have to attend a funeral today, which will take at least the morning. I need to rest."

"Yuan Shufen."

"Yes." Bai Ji'an turned around. He felt that something was wrong with He Wei. "What do you want to ask me? About the paper coffin case? Is there any progress?"

"I guess so." After saying that, He Wei took out his phone, pressed it twice and put it on the smooth table. With a hard push, the phone slid in a straight line to Bai Ji'an's eyes. "This is progress."

Bai Ji'an took the phone, and then he suddenly raised his eyes, "On the 18th, there is this Yuan Zi...whose thing is this?"

He Wei briefly recounted the clues compiled at the meeting to Bai Ji'an.

"You mean that the deceased was Mr. Yin Yang hired by the Gu family for Mrs. Yuan Shufen."

"If nothing else, the time is indeed right."

"So, if it's really Zhao Qian, the Gu family won't be able to wait for Mr. Yin Yang in the funeral home today."

"Yes."

"It's really a disaster."

Because of the incident between An Yuyuan and Yuan Shufen, people who should have been buried long ago have been waiting in the freezer for a long time. Now that everything is finally over, something happened again to Mr. Yin Yang.

After Bai Ji'an handed He Wei a cup of coffee in his hand, he went to change clothes.

He Wei put down his coffee, followed Bai Ji'an, and asked, "Aren't you going to inform me?"

Bai Ji'an put on his shirt and asked, "Why do you need to notify?"

He Wei was a little confused by Bai Ji'an's question, "I thought you would tell the Gu family brother and sister the news so that they could prepare in advance. At least they won't look like headless chickens for a while."

"I am an outsider myself, and I have no intention of disrupting the way things should develop."

"I thought you felt pity for Mrs. Yuan Shufen's plight."

"Yes, you are right." Bai Ji'an put on his coat. Before leaving, he patted He Wei on the shoulder, "There is still time, take a good rest. If anything happens, I will let you know."

Howie walked to the window, and after a while, a shiny silver-gray car drove out of the garage. Howie just kept watching, through the misty night, until the two red tail lights slowly disappeared.

The location of Fukuzawa Cemetery is outside the city.

It takes an hour and a half to drive from the office on Qianhe Street.

When Bai Ji'an drove the car into the funeral home compound, the parking lot was almost occupied.

He followed the signs in a circle and finally found a spacious place to park.

The only drawback is that it is a bit far from the main hall where the farewell ceremony is held.

"Mr. Bai."

Behind him, Gu Zhen ran towards him with a big bag in his hand.

"Thank you for coming. My mother's business is all thanks to you."

Bai Ji'an shook his head, "My condolences."

Gu Zhen nodded, her eyes red, "It's okay, we have accepted the reality." After that, she took out a white flower from her bag, "You can wear this on your chest."

Bai Ji'an took the white flower and said, "Okay."

"Today is also my mother's big day. She will be very busy for a while. If there is anything I don't take care of..."

"It doesn't matter." Bai Ji'an interrupted: "I just want to send Mrs. Yuan off for the last time. You are busy, so don't worry about me at all. I will take care of myself."

Gu Zhen sniffed and choked: "Thank you."

Following Gu Zhen, Bai Ji'an came to the place where the Gu family brothers and sisters parked their cars. However, what was waiting for them was not the Gu family siblings, but an empty parking space.

Gu Zhen was confused. She thought she was in the wrong place, so she turned back and forth several times, getting faster and faster.

"Are you sure they parked here?"

Gu Zhen was anxious, "I'm sure, I came from here just now. It only took ten minutes!"

"Don't be anxious yet." Bai Ji calmed Gu Zhen, "Give them a call, anyone will be fine."

Gu Zhen nodded quickly, and in a hurry, she actually forgot about this.

The phone rang twice and was answered. It was the eldest sister Gu Shan.

Gu Shan's tone was urgent and angry. She spoke for a long time, but couldn't say anything clearly except the four words "Mr. Yin Yang", which made Gu Zhen more and more anxious.

"You go find your second brother first. He has gone to the toilet. You go to his car and wait for us. He will be back in a minute!"

Then, the call was hung up.

"Second sister."

Seeing Gu Wenhao and Gu Meihui walking towards her, Gu Zhen hurried over and said that her elder sister and elder brother had gone somewhere without saying a word to her.

Ju Wenhao reassured: "It's okay, it's just Mr. Yin Yang who was invited by my eldest brother and he needed to pick someone up at someone's home. He thought I would pick him up, but I didn't know that my sister-in-law did it. I thought they would go. "

Hearing this, Gu Zhen's anxious heart finally let go.

"I thought something happened."

"It's okay. I heard that the gentleman's home is not far away. It's in the community next door to your eldest brother's new house."

Bai Ji'an stood aside and listened quietly to the conversation between the Gu family siblings.

He Wei wanted to know why he didn't tell Ju Wenbin and Gu Shan about the death of Zhao Qian even though he knew that their trip would be in vain and that the Gu family might be a little panicked for a while.

Because only if things continue to develop as they originally were, the truth will surface earlier.
