The Hufflepuff common room has never been so busy during the Christmas holidays.

The senior students didn't go home because they needed to attend the dance, and some junior students didn't want to miss such a lively event. Even if they couldn't participate, they chose to stay in school, so they could at least watch.

Ernie didn't invite Fiona in the end, because when he hesitated and asked Fiona when there were fewer people, Fiona had already agreed to the invitation of another senior.

Fortunately, he finally found a dance partner.

It was Cathy who invited him.

Due to the influence of Donna and Ariana, the introverted Annie and Cathy began to take the initiative with everyone's encouragement, and finally found a dance partner.

In short, none of them went home this Christmas.

Since the morning, everyone has been discussing what dress to wear and what hairstyle to wear at the dance tomorrow. The girls gathered around and talked endlessly.

A few days ago, my parents sent Esther's dress. It was a sweet pink bud dress with a long tail and a big bow.

As soon as her dress appeared, her roommates were amazed. Maybe not everyone likes this style, but her dress is expensive!

Both the design and cut are made by famous designers. Even people who don't like this style will admire the gorgeousness and beauty of this dress.

Esther didn't like it very much but she didn't dislike it either.

After all, this skirt is her parents' usual aesthetic, and it is very different from her imagination.

Along with the dress, a short letter was delivered to Esther in addition to some jewelry.

"Have a great time at the dance."

This is my mother's handwriting.

"Don't put all your energy into such activities, study hard and don't let your grades slip."

This is her father's handwriting.

It was rare not to go home for Christmas, and Esther still missed her parents a little, but fortunately, everyone's anticipation for the dance helped her to dispel some of her thoughts.

On the morning of Christmas day, Esther followed her classmates to open Christmas gifts. After lunch, it started to snow outside.

Large tracts of snowflakes fell one after another, quickly decorating the world in silvery white, adding a bit of Christmas atmosphere to today, and soon covering the playground outside the castle with a thick layer of snow.

Some boys had a snowball fight outside, and the cheerful laughter spread throughout the campus.

Donna looked out with some envy. She also wanted to go out and have a snowball fight. Unfortunately, girls had to prepare more things for the dance than boys, and it was also more time-consuming. She had to prepare early and couldn't spend all her time playing.

For the same reason, many girls started dressing up before 5 p.m., but Esther was not too hurried. After lunch, she said goodbye to her roommates and headed to the library alone.

"You still want to study at this point, Aisi. If you say that you don't like studying in the future, we will never believe it."

Cathy sighed.

The others nodded.

Esther didn't know how to explain it, because she said going to the library was just an excuse, so she just didn't explain it.

As she headed to the Great Hall this morning, she met Draco.

Draco told her mysteriously that she should find a chance to come to the library this afternoon. He had something to give her.

Esther didn't know what he was doing, but she thought he was going to give her a Christmas gift with his own hands.

Because when she opened the gifts this morning, she didn't see Draco's gift.

Out of curiosity, she decided to accept the invitation.

The library is empty today.

When Esther arrived, Draco was already there.

She saw almost at a glance that there were two gift boxes, one large and one small, on the table next to him.

"Merry Christmas Draco."

Esther walked forward with a smile, her eyes falling on the two gift boxes: "Is this why you asked me to come to the library? Give me this year's Christmas gift with your own hands?"

Draco also smiled: "Merry Christmas, this is indeed a gift prepared for you this year, but this is the only Christmas gift."

He stretched out his fingers and pushed the small gift box in front of Esther.

Esther sat opposite him and took the gift box, but did not open it immediately. Instead, she looked at the larger gift box curiously: "Then who is this one for?"

"It's for you too, but it's not a Christmas present."

Draco said with a smile as he narrowed his eyes.

"Oh?" Esther looked curious: "Then do you mind if I open it now?"

Draco shook his head and refused: "Keep it a mystery. It won't be too late to open it when you return to the dormitory."

The more he said this, the more curious Esther became, so she picked up the two boxes and stood up: "Then I will go back now? By the way, have you received my Christmas gift?"

"I got it. To be honest, you are quite stingy. You gave me a notebook as a Christmas gift."

"That's not a notebook! It's a diary made by me! It's specially made with a Slytherin theme! How dare you dislike it?"

"So what you understand as Slater points is skulls, snakes, and a moldy green color?"

"What does it mean to be moldy green? If you don't understand aesthetics and don't like it, just give it back to me!"

Esther glared at Draco angrily.

Draco looked at her angry look and couldn't help laughing. While laughing, he said, "How can there be any reason to take back a gift after giving it away?"

Then Esther knew that he was deliberately angry with her.

What a jerk!

"You're too childish, Draco!" Esther rolled her eyes at him and turned away angrily.

When she returned to the dormitory, she sat on the bedside. Still unable to overcome her curiosity, she silently opened the gift.

In that small box was a pearl necklace that looked very expensive.

The round pearls sparkle under the light, and the light blue gemstone in the middle is even more dazzling.

Esther's first reaction when she saw this necklace was that Draco was right. Compared to this necklace, the gift she gave her was indeed a bit shabby.

She put the disassembled necklace aside and picked up the big gift box.

Then he couldn't help but exclaimed.

Because that is a very beautiful dress.

This skirt is cut very simply, with thin suspenders made of pearls connected to the dark blue skirt. There is only a bow of the same color and fabric as decoration on the chest. The skirt is not fluffy and hangs straight down. However, this skirt is covered with sparkling diamonds from beginning to end, as dazzling as the twinkling stars in the night sky.

Her exclamation attracted her roommates, and everyone gathered around her. When they saw the skirt, they all exclaimed.

"Oh my gosh, Ess! This dress is so beautiful! Did your family give it to you again?"

Cathy asked, covering her mouth and staring at the dress in amazement.

Esther shook her head and said with a complicated expression, "Draco gave it to me."
