This Hogwarts is not normal

Chapter 1123 A lie that is self-defeating

There is a reason why Umbridge makes people feel disgusted. She huffs and puffs out a bunch of subjective fantasies like a toad.

"Please think carefully about this. In his first year, Wayne defeated a dark wizard, in his second year, he exposed the biggest liar in the wizarding world, and in his third year, he caught a Death Eater who had been hiding for more than ten years. Isn't this too much of a coincidence?"

Vincent immediately became interested, his deep blue eyes seemed to be able to see through all lies.

Umbridge was too guilty to meet those eyes, and the fat on her face filled with fake smiles trembled uncontrollably.

Her panicked eyes focused on the smiling and silent Dumbledore. "Wayne is just a Muggle-born wizard. If it weren't for Dumbledore's deliberate training, he would never have achieved his current brilliant achievements."

Fudge in the front row pumped his fist in the air in ecstasy.

It turned out that only Umbridge could handle such an offensive and ridiculous task.

People are selfish. Dumbledore must have had other intentions in recommending Vincent to Nicolas Flamel.

Once people start to accept this assumption, then what has happened in Hogwarts in recent years becomes very questionable.

Quirrell is a dark wizard who covets the Philosopher's Stone, and Lockhart is a swindler who steals other people's experiences. They are both Defense Against the Dark Arts professors hired by Dumbledore himself, and in the end they all become Vincent's experience packages.

But in the third year...

Umbridge's emotions suddenly became agitated, and her voice became sharper and thinner: "Dumbledore has always been strongly opposed to the security measures arranged by the Ministry of Magic at Hogwarts. Why? Because he is a hypocritical person. He has long known that Sirius Black is innocent, and Black was indeed caught by Wayne in the end."

"Pure nonsense!" Sirius in the audience couldn't help but stand up and pointed at Umbridge's fat face.

"Mr. Black," Fudge glared at him coldly, "if you violate the hearing rules again, I will have the guards ask you to leave."

Sirius sat back down with an indignant look on his face.

Umbridge's rhythm was disrupted and her emotions were no longer as passionate as before.

She glared at Sirius, "I can understand how Mr. Black feels. After all, this is the second time he has been betrayed by someone he trusted."

Lupin quickly held Sirius down and said, "Don't be impulsive. We have plenty of opportunities to expose her lies."

Sirius calmed down a little, but the anger in his eyes as he stared at Umbridge was still ready to explode.

Umbridge shrank her neck in a feigned weakness.

Her neck was short to begin with, and when it was shrunk it looked even more like a toad.

"Blake was successfully captured by Wayne, and he brought a shocking news."

Umbridge regained some of her previous feeling, "Peter Pettigrew was the one who actually betrayed the Potters!"

She glared at Dumbledore, "You are a master of Legilimency. You already knew that Black was innocent. You also knew that Peter Pettigrew was hiding in Hogwarts at the time. Your goal is to use Black's reversal of the case to discredit the Ministry of Magic!"

The whole audience was in an uproar, and this time Fudge actually ignored everyone's comments.

Such a difficult lie was made up. It's a little outrageous but not unacceptable.

Umbridge took a deep breath and pointed at Dumbledore. "In order to achieve this goal, you need to create a bigger crisis. It was you who let Peter Pettigrew escape, right? Regardless of whether it was or not, you need to be held responsible for the Death Eaters' attack!"

She looked at Vincent in anger and grief, "Dumbledore, let me expose your true colors! You allowed dangerous factors on campus to run rampant in order to make Wayne successful and give him enough fame so that he would support you when you said the mysterious man had returned, making your lies more convincing!"

Fudge couldn't help but frown at her words.

Although the effect was achieved, the more she talked, the more outrageous it became. I'm afraid she might even pull Dumbledore off the altar next.

Fudge looked at the two people sitting firmly in the dock.

There was no rebuttal throughout the whole process. Did he give up resistance?

"The wizarding world has been at peace for a long time." Umbridge's shrill voice sounded again: "Dumbledore, you don't want the wizards to forget your greatness, so you arranged a so-called duel between yourself and the mysterious man. When the wizards felt desperate, you stepped forward and defeated him. Then you can legitimately become the belief in the hearts of wizards and become a god-like existence."

Hermione in the audience suddenly realized.

The reason why Vincent and Dumbledore did not refute was because Umbridge's lies were full of loopholes, and the more she talked, the easier it would be to expose them.

Sure enough, Umbridge no longer concealed the excitement on her face. "This is the most evil conspiracy in history. You certainly didn't expect that I would see through it!"

Subjective conjecture is just subjective conjecture after all, and her lies can never cover up objective facts.

Bones' eyes were extremely cold. "Senior Undersecretary Umbridge, I hope you are aware of how terrible your words are. The person involved in the hearing, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, defeated the Dark Lord Gellert Grindelwald alone in 1945. His greatness needs no further explanation."

Umbridge was a little panicked. She obviously didn't expect her to question him. "I... I know that even if Dumbledore had defeated Grindelwald, it wouldn't prove anything. That was half a century ago."

"You are denying his achievements," Bones retorted mercilessly, "The fact is that Dumbledore has repeatedly refused the position of Minister of Magic, and he never abused his power when he was the President of the International Confederation of Wizards."

Her eyes were like searchlights on Umbridge.

"This..." Umbridge's sagging face trembled again, "This... This is his disguise. He perfectly packages himself as a saint in order to -"

She was interrupted by a sudden burst of applause.

Vincent chuckled and stopped clapping. "At the beginning of the hearing, Minister Fudge tried to prove that Voldemort's return was fake through two witnesses. After that, Senior Deputy Minister Umbridge made up one lie after another."

"I'm not lying!" Umbridge was even more excited than Fudge.

Vincent avoided her cannibalistic gaze with disdain, "Only your fat-filled brain can come up with such a flawed lie."

Umbridge was so angry that her eyes almost popped out.

She stood up suddenly, her whole fat face twisted into a ball without caring about her image, "Apologize! Wayne! You have to apologize to me!"

“You’re already a grown man.” Vincent raised his hand and waved at the air in front of him, as if brushing off something dirty. “Calling you a pig-brain is an insult to a pig.”

He continued to provoke Umbridge's sensitive and fragile nerves, "Let me tell you a straightforward fact. As long as Professor Dumbledore wants, he can rule the world at any time without anyone finding out."

He lowered his gaze and fixed it on Fudge's face. "People with malicious intentions see conspiracy in everything. You think Professor Dumbledore has ulterior motives in recommending me to the teachers. You only see what you want to see. This narrow-minded thinking will only hinder the development of individuals and society."

This sentence seems to be referring to Umbridge, but it is actually referring to the Ministry of Magic officials headed by Fudge.

They were the ones who turned a blind eye to Voldemort's return and even deceived themselves, and who actually allowed the dangerous factors to run rampant.
