The chaebol's little wife: Uncle, you are going to spoil me!

Chapter 3233 Intending to make things clear

Yuan Niu didn't understand what Viren said at first, and her uncle was also forced to drink alcohol, but at the end of the party, her uncle sat next to her and her aunt, so she didn't remember much.

The rest of the time, Yuan Niu was taking notes on her phone, joining in the fun as others did.

When they were escorting the bride back to her room, she also wanted to squeeze in. An Kechun told Dean what to do, and then she got up to watch the children.

Even though she's already a high school student, Niu Niu still seems like a child who hasn't been weaned and needs to be cared for by her family.

Not long after An Kechun left, someone else went to Dean's side and spoke up.

When the aunt and nephew returned, Dean's face was dark. It was rare for someone as good-tempered as Dean to be in a bad mood, so there were only two possibilities: one was related to An Kechun, and the other was related to Yuan Niu.

An Kechun is quite fierce; for some reason, everyone who sees her feels she's not someone to mess with, especially with the hideous scars on her hands—it makes everyone shudder. Besides, An Kechun doesn't interact with anyone except a few neighbors she gets along with. Everyone else also assumes she doesn't understand the local language.

The girl they brought back didn't understand a word, so we had to use our phones to translate every time, which was such a hassle. The phone couldn't even recognize some of the dialects, so everyone just spoke to Dean.

As a result, Dean learned a lot.

When they left that evening, Yuan Niu walked in the middle, holding her aunt's hand with one hand and looking at the bad videos on her phone with the other. She deleted the ones she didn't like and shared the good ones with her.

Yuan Niu's data plan is running out, so she's switched to her aunt's data plan.

"It's cold in the mountains at night," Dean asked. "Niu Niu, are you cold?"

Yuan Niu: "I can tolerate the cold."

It's already the third day of the Lunar New Year in China. Dean asked An Kechun, "Do you want to go home early?"

An Kechun asked in surprise, "Didn't you want to come back and stay longer, and also renovate the house, and even take Da Niu to the mountains to find medicinal herbs?"

They've only stayed there for a few days now, and there haven't been any major renovations. They also couldn't find what Yuan Niu was talking about when they went to the mountains.

Dean said, "I'll come back myself later and find a construction team to fix the house. I'll just come back regularly to check on the progress. Tomorrow I'll take Niu Niu to the mountains. Let's leave on the fifth day of the new year."

An Kechun was puzzled by the sudden urgency.

When they got home in the evening, Yuan Niu washed up and lay on the bed playing on her phone. The walls were still drafty, so An Ke Chun used a mattress to block the draft by leaning it against the wall. The house had been uninhabited for a long time and was in disrepair, which was why it was drafty.

When they went out, An Kechun was boiling water again. She loved adding firewood, but she felt it was wasteful to just add firewood, so she always boiled water. As a result, there was a lot of hot water in the house. Since they couldn't use it all, Dean would always watch Yuan Niu drink water. They both drank water, and Yuan Niu said she was so healthy.

Dean later worried about water poisoning, so he would brew herbal medicine at night. He would add the medicine while Ah Chun added the firewood, and occasionally she would poke the fire with tongs to watch the sparks fly. "Who said anything to you tonight?"

Dean knew he couldn't hide it from her. "A few women came over tonight and asked me about Niu Niu's age, saying they were planning to find her a husband. A few men got drunk and started talking to me, which was suspicious. They all asked me tonight."

Dean didn't say it explicitly, but An Kechun made it clear: "It's obvious that someone has designs on Niu."

Dean remained silent; he admitted it.

An Kechun asked him, "Have you guessed who it is?"

Dean placed the crushed medicine into the boiler and squatted down to add some firewood. "I'll go to his house tomorrow and make things clear."

"What do you mean? In the eyes of your old benefactor, you even said that Niu Niu wasn't your child in order to avoid a marriage alliance? If you said that, would anyone believe you? They would only think that you were deliberately refusing."

Dean: "I did refuse on purpose. I'll make things clear tomorrow, so don't worry."

An Kechun leaned back against the lumbar support. "I'll go with you tomorrow."

Dean: "..." He hesitated for a moment.

An Kechun: "Your tone is too soft; you won't get anything done."

Dean: "...Then could you please not carry that?"

An Kechun: "See? I told you you couldn't get things done."

Finally, An Kechun got sleepy and put down the fire tongs and matches to get up and go to sleep.

The medicine was half-cooked over the fire...

Helpless, Dean didn't sleep, but sat by the fire and added more firewood to cook for another half hour.

He actually quite likes his current life.

At least Ah Chun is by his side, and Niu Niu is by his side too. He is all alone, and having these two people to care about is his happiness.

Therefore, he cannot allow his happiness to be harmed by others; this is his bottom line, and it cannot be violated!

In the evening, he worked for another hour, packing up all the boiled shampoo and putting it away. He also cleaned up the house before going to rest.

The next day, An Kechun called Yuan Niu three or four times before she sat up in a state of hysteria.

As I was getting ready to go out, someone knocked on the door again. It was Viren again, early in the morning.

Dean went to the door and said something. Viren glanced inside at Yuan Niu, who was washing up. Dean's face darkened, and he closed half of the door to block Yuan Niu's voice. "Didn't anyone teach you manners?"

Viren immediately apologized.

Dean: "You can go back now. We'll go to your house after dinner."

An Kechun called out to Dean, but the pancake had already gone black. Dean didn't care whether Viren had left or not, he simply closed and locked the door and turned back.

After washing up, Yuan Niu casually tied her hair up, sat cross-legged, and began to eat.

The uncle told her to stay at home with her aunt while he went out for a while and would take Yuan Niu to the mountains when he came back.

An Kechun said, "I agreed to go last night, so I'm going too!"

Dean: "...I'm fine with going too."

An Kechun's gaze left no room for refusal, so Dean had no choice but to compromise. "Then Niu Niu will go too."

Yuan Niu took a bite of the dark pancake and exclaimed, "Hmm, it's bitter, but it tastes pretty good."

The charred pancakes were originally meant for Dean, but unexpectedly, Yuan Niu fell in love with them.

"Eat less of the burnt stuff, the ones baked here are just right for you and Ah Chun," Dean said.

Yuan Niu asked, "Auntie and Uncle, what were you going there for?"

After finishing his meal and closing the door, Dean took his "wife and children" back to the village.

Now, whenever people see Dean, they gossip behind his back. Later, when they heard that An Kechun couldn't understand the village dialect, they sat by the river and openly cursed, "He takes his wife everywhere he goes, what kind of future can he have?"

"And his child, how old is he? Last night when I asked about her in-laws, Dean even cursed at them. It's true that after being away for a few years, his temper has gotten worse."

"It's all his wife's fault. Dean used to be such a good-tempered person. No matter how heavy the rain or what, if someone was in trouble, he would come as soon as they called. Now, he has to ask his wife for his decisions."

"That's right, she has such a temper even though she only has one daughter. If she dares to have a son, what will happen?"

"With her hands like that, she definitely can't have children."
