065 Snape's request

The principal's office on the eighth floor.

"Severus, why do you have time to come to my place?" Dumbledore asked with a smile.

Snape's body stiffened and he said stiffly: "I'm here to see Professor Rumple. My student Malfoy's home was unexpectedly attacked."

"Accidental attack?" Dumbledore's eyes flashed, "Do you think it was not an accident?"

"Until the investigation is clear, I still remain suspicious." Snape said coldly, "I want to confirm with Professor Rumple."

"Okay." Dumbledore looked a little regretful, as if he was disappointed that Snape didn't come to chat with him.

"Go up the stairs and that's his office."

"Is this the office you built specially for him? There was no office here before." Snape said playfully with the corner of his mouth raised slightly.

"Is he your illegitimate son somewhere?"

Dumbledore's expression suddenly turned stern, "Severus, it is best that Professor Lumpo never hears such words."

"Does this make you nervous?" Snape's black beetle-like eyes stared firmly at Dumbledore, "I thought no one would make you so nervous!"

"You'd better remember what we said before, please respect Professor Lumpo." Dumbledore lowered his head, picked up the books on the table and flipped through them.

Snape curled his lips and walked towards the stairs.

Dumbledore was sitting on a throne-like chair. He suddenly raised his head and reminded him as if he thought of something: "Severus, if you don't want to become like Malfoy, you'd better pay attention to your wording."

"Slytherin pays great attention to etiquette." Snape said.

Dumbledore nodded thoughtfully, "I hope so."

Snape quickly walked up the steps and knocked gently on the door.

"Professor Rumple, I am Severus Snape." Snape said softly, and he was as polite as he said.

"Come in, the door is unlocked." Edward's voice came through the door panel.

Snape held the door handle and turned it. Sure enough, it was unlocked. He pushed the door open and entered.

This was a large room, much larger than Dumbledore's office, and it was obvious that an Invisible Space Expansion Spell had been cast here.Edward was sitting behind his desk, leaning over the desk and writing something.

"You sit down first." Edward said without looking up. He was writing a letter to Gilderoy Lockhart, replying to Gilderoy's encounter with a werewolf in the Margeride Mountains area of Gevaudan, France.

He was going to introduce some friends to Gilderoy, and they would teach him how to deal with werewolves correctly.

So as not to wake up the next day and hear the bad news about Gilderoy.

By the time Edward finished writing the letter, Snape had been sitting in the office for a quarter of an hour.

But Snape was not impatient at all. He could not feel Edward's magic at all, which frightened him even more.

Even if it was Dumbledore, Snape could still feel the magic on him, as warm as the sun shining on the earth, like the rising sun.

As for Edward, Snape didn't feel it at all.

Either he is a complete Muggle, or he is an old monster with unfathomable strength.

Edward obviously couldn't be a Muggle, so the answer was obvious.

Sweat gradually formed on Snape's forehead, and he vaguely felt that the day might come true for his wish.

"Professor Snape, right?" Edward finally raised his head and stuffed the letter into the mailbox on the owl's leg.

"That's right, Professor Rumple." Snape was suddenly called, sitting upright like a primary school student.

Edward raised his eyebrows, "You came to see me—?"

Snape said quickly: "About Draco Malfoy, a student of my college——"

"There's nothing to say. He should apologize for the mistakes he made, and the person who should accept the apology should be Hermione." Edward said lightly, he closed the window and turned around.

"But I still need to apologize," said Snape, "about last night's incident at Malfoy Manor—"

"It was just an accident." Edward leaned back in his chair, and at some point there was a cup of steaming hot cocoa on the table.

"Yes, an accident. I absolutely believe it was an accident," Snape said.

"Then what else do you want?" Edward pointed in the direction of the door, already chasing Snape away.

"I-I-" Snape opened his mouth, speechless for a moment.

Edward sniffed his nose and said, "I seem to smell desire. Severus Snape, do you have any wishes?"

"I-" Snape's voice stopped abruptly, because he was frightened by the scene before him.

Edward's image suddenly became weird. It seemed like two horns were slowly bulging out from his forehead, and his skin became red, as if he was about to transform.

"I'm really sorry, my negligence almost scared you." Edward said apologetically, took out his wand and tapped his head lightly.

Everything strange disappeared again.

At this moment, Snape's heart was completely determined. Edward Rumple must have powerful power, and maybe he could really resurrect Lily.

"I want to resurrect someone." Snape said, his voice low and his head lowered so that Edward could not see his expression clearly.

"A very extravagant wish," Edward commented lightly, "but not impossible."

Snape's head snapped up, "Is that really okay?"

"The charm of magic lies in turning decay into magic." Edward said, "Let's see who it is that makes you obsessed with dreams——"

Snape's pupils trembled, and he could feel a mental force so powerful that he could not resist invade his mind.Just when he was about to use Occlumency, he heard Edward's whisper-like voice in his ears.

"Relax your mind and let me see - see who that person is."

Snape closed his eyes and allowed Edward to wander in his mind.

The first meeting at the playground, the sorting ceremony at Hogwarts, the two of them parting ways, begging Dumbledore to save him...

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, that's really touching." Edward turned around in Snape's head in just a few breaths.

"It's just old stuff," Snape said stiffly, putting on his cold mask again.

"If it was just old times, you wouldn't care so much." Edward said, "Is that the girl named Lily?"

Snape nodded heavily, his eyes still red.

Edward said nothing, just stared at Snape.

"Can you bring her back to me?" he croaked. "Bring the dead back to life - please."

Edward bared his teeth and smiled excitedly, "Then what will you give me in return, my dear Severus?"
