Chapter 225 The Magic Stone·The Beginning
On the first day of school, the sun is shining high.
Morris rolled around comfortably under the quilt. His roommates all went to class, but he didn't need to. He could continue to sleep happily.
Sleeping until midnight, the house elves put the lunch ordered yesterday on the bedside on time. After having a nice lunch, Morris yawned and considered whether to do something useful.
This way you won't look like a jerk and attract hatred.
While he was thinking, the owl Tutu flew over and dropped a letter from the window.
It was an invitation from Hagrid, inviting him and Harry to sit and drink tea in his cabin.
This sounds very good and very suitable for my current leisurely life. Maurice nodded with great satisfaction, then picked up his pen and wrote a reply, telling Hagrid not to prepare too much food. He would bring it from the kitchen.
Looking at the mechanical watch on his wrist, Morris saw that there were still three hours before the agreed time. After thinking for a minute, Morris went to the kitchen to guide the house elves in developing new ones.
Things like hot pot must be brought to daily life.
Ever since Chen Chenxiao left, no one would prepare hot pot for him to eat. Why does it sound so tragic?
Morris is ready to change this situation, isn't it to turn the UK on the back of the tongue into Hogwarts on the tip of the tongue! As long as you win over those house elves, there's nothing you can't do!
Half past two.
Morris appeared in front of Hagrid's door carrying a small bag.
There was a barking sound in the house, and it sounded like the dog was not very happy.
"Master, that dog doesn't seem very friendly to us." Gardevoir stood in front of Morris silently.
Morris said sheepishly: "Is it the dog that Hagrid raised? After all, many of us ate barbecue in front of him without him, maybe we have a grudge, hahahaha."
Xanadu: "..."
After a while, the sound of Hagrid chasing the dog was heard, and then the small door was opened.
Hagrid grinned and said, "Maurice? You came really early. But why didn't you knock on the door? If it hadn't been for Yaya, I wouldn't have known there was a visitor."
"Oh, I'm enjoying the scenery here." Morris smiled, "You know, I haven't been here for a long time."
Hagrid laughed loudly: "Yes, you went to Castillo Bruce in Brazil last semester, and you caused such a big deal when you came back. I thought you would be expelled from school."
"No, no, no, no..." Morris was ashamed.
In fact, if it weren't for Dumbledore, the angry Professor McGonagall would really fire him.
Morris said as he took something out of his bag.
He didn't really want to try Hagrid's special stone cake. If he didn't bite one of them well, he might have to report to Hermione's father again.
Yaya is not very close to Maurice. Apparently this timid dog with a bad mind can hold a grudge under certain circumstances.
Hagrid laughed when he heard about these things and tried to get Fang to go to Maurice for a hug.
At two fifty-five, Harry and Ron arrived in time. Hagrid welcomed them very warmly, and then handed them the stone cake he baked. The two of them didn't realize the seriousness of the matter, so they happily took it, stuffed it in their mouths, and immediately regretted it the next moment. Is this something people eat?
Maurice handed over the pudding with a smile, while Hagrid spread his hands helplessly, expressing regret that his delicacy was not popular.
"How was your day? Did you enjoy studying?"
After exchanging pleasantries, Morris asked curiously.
According to his memory, the two people were late for Professor McGonagall's class in the morning - this was a class that he didn't dare to be late for or skip. In the afternoon, Harry, the unlucky child, was hit by another storm from Snape.
All in all, it's very exciting.
"Don't mention it." Ron said with a bitter face, "Professor McGonagall is so cruel."
"Compared to Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape is simply, simply... problematic!" Harry said a little madly, "He keeps asking me questions! I have already stated that I don't know those questions, so let him I went to find Miss Granger, but again, he ignored my suggestion and still grabbed me!"
"This involves a complicated love story..." Morris said with a smirk, "You might consider asking Miss Granger to borrow a school uniform and dress it up a bit. Maybe Snape will be extra gentle to you."
Harry shuddered suddenly as he imagined the scene. Gentle Professor Snape? This is absolutely terrible!
Ron seemed to be disgusted too: "And Filch and his cat! They've been following us!"
"Maybe because you are a Weasley." Hagrid glanced at his hair and muttered.
Ron looked unhappy: "So is it because of Fred and George who got into trouble again?"
"Hahahahaha..." Hagrid laughed, and then consoled him, "Actually, compared to the twin brothers who can never be driven away, Maurice is Filch's number one enemy."
"You comfort people and don't bring me in!"
Hagrid: "You probably still don't know what Morris has done. Let me tell you..."
The three of them were happily digging up all kinds of gossip, and did not notice the small piece of paper pressed under the teapot's warm cover. Morris pulled it out, and sure enough it was a story clipped from the Daily Prophet.
"The latest report on the Gringotts break-in incident. The investigation into the Gringotts break-in incident on July 31st is still ongoing." Morris couldn't help laughing after reading the title, "Hagrid, Didn't you say that Gringotts is the safest place? A thief broke in not long ago, but he hasn't been caught yet."
Hagrid looked a little embarrassed: "This... well, there are always people looking for some excitement, but nothing was stolen, right?"
Harry came over and said, "July 31st? Isn't that my birthday? Hagrid, Maurice, were we there when it happened?"
Hagrid deliberately avoided Harry's eyes and just snorted.
Morris thought for a while, then asked Gardevoir in his mind, and got a negative answer.
"At least the thief wasn't around when we were at Gringotts," Morris said.
The thief was most likely Voldemort, and Dumbledore probably only told Hagrid that Voldemort came back to steal the thing.
Harry read the result report again: "The thief failed because someone took the items from the underground vault in advance. Hagrid, could it be the item you took? What is that item?"
Maurice saw that the atmosphere was a little tense, so he calmed down Harry who was asking anxiously: "With so many people coming and going from Gringotts, it can't be such a coincidence."
Ron nodded wildly to show that it made sense.
