Chapter 144 Sophia Bray

Vera easily pulled back the girl who was about to run away, and asked her with a smile to hand over her personal information first.

Morris looked at Vera carefully. The smiling lady exuded an aura that seemed to be cannibalistic.

"What? You don't want to talk? Are you still mute?" Vera whispered softly and hit the ground with a vine, making Professor McGonagall frown.

"I...my name...is, Sophia..."

"Full name!"

"...Sofia Bray." The girl whispered.

Vera tapped the stone with her fingers: "Are you not Brazilian?"

"Yes!...Ah, no..."

"Isn't that right?"

"I don't know either..." the girl explained softly, "I... I don't know..."

Don't know what the hell it is?

Vera had no patience to continue this exchange, took out a small bottle from her pocket and threw it at Sophia.

"Drink it." Vera ordered.

Sophia knelt in the middle of the grass, glanced around secretly, and saw that no one was stopping her, so she drank the potion in the bottle resignedly.

"Ah, this is a lot more convenient." Vera stood up and said with a sneer.

It is really convenient to interrogate with truth serum. You don't have to worry about the other party's hesitation or emotional problems. Especially against the enemy, there is no need to worry about whether the opponent will have a mental breakdown or have sequelae afterwards.

...

Sophia was an orphan, adopted by a Muggle couple, and her name was written on a small handkerchief she carried with her. The Muggle couple did not change her name, so they continued to call her Sophia Bray.

They live in a small village very close to the Amazon rainforest. There are not many people in the village. Most of them are the old, weak, sick and disabled, and the occasional guy who can't think of venturing into the rainforest.

Therefore, Sophiel was not affected at all and lived in poverty and happiness.

On her thirteenth birthday, a wizard passed by the village and burned the entire village to ashes with a powerful fire. Sofia was lucky enough to escape, but she lost her parents again.

The reward for surviving the flames was that she successfully gained the power to control fire. But she was older than she could be admitted to the Magic Academy, so she didn't know about the existence of other wizards for a long time.

Living on the edge of the rainforest all year round, she got to know many magical animals. Sofia often makes deals with some intelligent magical animals to support herself. During this period, she also knew that there was a huge castle deep in the forest, but the magical animals told her that it was dangerous there and she would die if she went there.

Sophia naturally believed that the magical animals she lived with day and night had never set foot in the depths of the rainforest.

It's a pity that there are unforeseen circumstances, and there are some places that she can't just come to if she doesn't want to...

One night, while she was sleeping, Sophia faintly heard the sentence "It's really... a good... sacrifice...". She suddenly woke up and saw a dark guy standing in front of her. It seemed that he had done something and yet he seemed to have done nothing. The flames that he had always used so well had no power in front of this guy. Soon, she was knocked unconscious.

When I woke up again, it was just now...

...

Maurice, the melon-eating crowd: "..."

It always feels like a bloody story.

"There are not so many coincidences in this world." Vera chuckled and seemed to glance at Morris, "But it seems that this guy only knows so much."

Professor McGonagall: "Then what to do with Miss Bray next."

Vera shook her head: "Don't worry, I am very interested in the sacrifice she mentioned. Moreover, she has good magic power and has not become an Obscurial but has realized a good talent for fire. It is quite a talent. It's a pity. Demon in flames."

"Demon in the flames?" Professor McGonagall was puzzled.

Morris and Gardevoir looked at Vera while eating breakfast.

"This involves a very ancient legend of ours." Vera didn't really want to explain, so she just talked about it briefly, "I have some things to do and I have to go to the rain forest. Maurice, will you come with me?"

"puff--"

Morris almost spit out a mouthful of eggs. This old woman hasn’t given up yet!

"Oh, Principal Durado, if you have any questions, I think I can help you." Professor McGonagall raised her eyebrows, "Mr. Hill hasn't gone to class today yet."

Morris nodded wildly on the side. Yeah yeah! I still have to go to class!

"No, I think I need Maurice very much for this matter." Vera changed her previous roundabout ways and said forcefully.

"Principal Vera, I don't want to go." Morris refused simply.

This doesn't sound like a good thing. How could you possibly dig into it knowing it's a trap?

Speaking of which, what happened to this old woman today? She suddenly got mad in front of Professor McGonagall?

"I'm sorry, Principal Durado." Professor McGonagall is not a soft-tempered person. She has always been in charge of the overall situation when Dumbledore is not at Hogwarts. "I will not let you take my students to dangerous places. Moreover, I will not let you take my students to dangerous places. The jury is still out on Miss Bray.",

Vera closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Then he pointed at Sophia Bray who was on the ground and said, "Okay, pretend I didn't say what I just said. Then I will take this person away first."

Professor McGonagall: "Please do, but I need to know the result."

"It's natural."

...

Vera left, taking Sophia away neatly. No one knew what she was thinking.

"Mr. Hill..." Professor McGonagall looked at Morris with a complicated look.

Seeing that the matter had come to an end, Morris finally asked the question he had been holding back until now: "Professor McGonagall, I would like to ask why you are all... uh, so taboo about this Sophia?"

Professor McGonagall: "As Principal Durado said before, there are not many coincidences in the wizarding world. Coincidences often represent conspiracies and curses, which is a recognized thing in the wizarding world."

"I don't think there's anything special about her?" Morris was puzzled.

Moreover, Gardevoir didn't see any curse or ominous traces on her body, otherwise Gardevoir, who could predict the future, would definitely remind him or beat this person out directly.

Professor McGonagall explained: "Mr. Hill, many things cannot be taken at face value. Sometimes just because you cannot see the curse does not mean that the curse does not exist."

emmm...maybe the wizard's curse is different from the elves'? It seems possible!

"But why does Principal Vera always want me to go to the rainforest? Isn't it because there is danger in the rainforest?" Morris scratched his head. He felt that Vera might have had some mental problems in the past two days.
