Chapter 1 History Rubbings of this Article

In the West Sea, at the edge of the windless zone, an ordinary merchant ship broke through the [Leviathan] storm and returned to the embrace of the West Sea from the Grand Route.

The dark clouds in the sky have not yet dispersed, and the heavy rain continues.

"Captain, look, there is someone at sea, a victim."

A triangular sampan rose and fell with the rolling waves. There was a young man with black hair lying on the sampan. He didn't know whether he was dead or alive.I don’t know how the little sampan survived the storm.

"Lean over... lean over..."

"Pull people up."

"The captain is still alive and breathing!"

The captain ordered: "Carry him into the cabin and call the ship's doctor to see if he can be saved!"

The sailors used four tables to make a simple platform, lifted the black-haired young man onto it, and helped him take off the soaked clothes.

"Why is there a chain wrapped around this man's shoulders?"

"Yes, the chain just happens to be stuck on the top. Go find the scissors."

Just as he said that, the chain slipped from the young man's body along the gap between the two sailors' fingers.

……

[Leviathan] Storms, windless zones, ancestor-level sea kings, shipwrecks...

Dukan shuddered and slowly woke up from the nightmare.

Two cargo boxes were put together to form a simple bed. It was extremely stuffy inside the cabin, and Dukan was only covered with a thin blanket.

"Sneeze!" Dukan sneezed. His cold was not over yet, and the humid and stagnant air in the cabin would only make his condition worse.

Dukan took out a rag from a cargo box and wiped his nose.

He lifted the blanket and prepared to go out for a walk, but he suddenly realized that he was naked, so he had to wrap the blanket around his waist to barely cover his shame.

When we came to the deck, the sky was washed in blue, the sea was sparkling, and there was a small island in front of us, with a towering tree standing in the center of the island.

The sailors, under the command of the captain, tidied the warehouse and cleaned the deck.

Dukan recognized the captain at a glance. He tightened the blanket around his waist, walked over and asked the captain: "Are you the captain of this ship? Where are we now?"

The captain looked back and saw Dukan smiling and said: "Yes, we are in the West Sea now. Young man, did you come from the Grand Line? We picked you up on the edge of the windless zone."

"Thank you so much. My name is Rebanto Ducan. I come from the Grand Line. I originally wanted to go to the North Sea, but I didn't expect to encounter the [Leviathan] storm and a shipwreck. By the way, have you seen me? Clothes?" Dukan asked awkwardly, holding his bare upper body.

"It's just a little effort. I've sent someone to dry your clothes for you, but your gun can't be used. The gunpowder may be soaked."

"It's okay, it's okay..."

A sailor placed all of Duquesne's clothes and belongings in front of him. Duquesne quickly put on his dark blue casual clothes and put the goggles on his forehead. Fortunately, the suit was made of good material and would not shrink.

A chain, a pocket watch, a hammer, a lighter, half a pack of cigarettes soaked in seawater, a stone and a cloud shell.

This was all Duquesne's net worth, and he didn't take a penny with him.

"Captain, our 'important cargo' has been damaged." A sailor responsible for inspecting the cabin reported.

Dukan looked at the sailor and had a bad feeling, because the cabin that the sailor checked happened to be the cabin where Dukan slept.

The captain quickly followed the sailor and rushed into the cabin, followed by a roar.

"Rebanto Duquesne, look at the good things you've done!"

The captain roared and rushed to Dukan, holding up the rag stained with snot. The original writing on the rag was messed up by the sticky snot. "Tell me! Did you do this?"

Dukan nodded stupidly, he still didn't know how valuable this rag was.

The captain grabbed the rag and waved it in front of Dukan's eyes, with snot almost touching his face. "Do you know how precious this thing is? Do you know that..."

"Captain!!" Just when the captain wanted to continue venting, a middle-aged man dressed as a scholar and holding a book under his arm stopped the captain.

The captain did not continue talking. He put away the rag, pointed at Dukan's nose and said, "I tell you, this thing is so valuable that you can't even afford to sell it!"

Dukan looked at the disgusting rag, spread his hands and said, "You can't explain clearly, how do I know how much that thing is worth? Also, I don't have a penny on me now." As soon as he finished speaking, Dukan The lighter in his pocket vibrated, and Dukan quickly pressed down the restless thing.

"No money! Huh! If you don't have money, just wash the dishes for me until the money is paid off."

The merchant ship docked slowly at the port, and the full view of the Tree of Omniscience was displayed before Dukan's eyes. This is O'Hara, the cradle of archaeologists, the world of thought and wisdom.
