At the edge of the Jinghe River, the God of Land appeared, looking at the Jinghe in front of him, trembling with anger.

He is one of the gods transformed by Li Heng's soul, but he is only set with a personality template, without the will of the deity, which is equivalent to an independent individual.

"Extremely absurd, extremely absurd!" The land on the bank of the Jing River clenched his fists, his eyes were full of anger, and he gritted his teeth, "The Jing River stretches for thousands of miles, and now it is completely polluted, how many people will be affected by this?

"It must be reported to Lord Chenghuang immediately, so that the lands of the city gods everywhere will take action to help the people who have lost their livelihoods because of the pollution of the Jing River."

The pollution of the Jing River immediately caused an uproar in the entire Tang Dynasty.

All kinds of rumors started to appear.

Many people are saying that this is an ominous omen and that the emperor has lost his virtue.

At the same time, some eminent Buddhist monks began to come forward and say that this may be due to the evil spirits, and they can be rescued by practicing masters, thereby dispelling the pollution.

The Taoist sect seemed not very interested in this, and no one showed up during the whole process.

The Human Emperor's Hall and the Zhenmagic Department mainly focus on suppressing and arresting demons, and they are not good at this.

Li Heng didn't express his opinion inside, and Pei Jianghui and Li Mingda naturally didn't stand up either.

This gave a group of Buddhist monks a huge room to play.

Therefore, it was soon proposed that a great virtuous monk could be selected to hold a water and land meeting to perform great Buddhist deeds in order to dispel the pollution of the Jing River.

As for the candidate for this virtuous and eminent monk, all the monks in Chang'an only nominated one person.

Master Xuanzang!

"What? Want me to preside over the land and water conference?"

Having just finished practicing Zilei Boxing Sutra, Xuanzang, whose muscles were knotted under his monk's robe, frowned, looking at the excited-looking monks in front of him with some embarrassment.

Recently, he has made great progress in martial arts, and he feels more and more that practicing martial arts can do many things, and he has more hope of saving the people of Tang Dynasty than learning Buddhism.

It's a bit of a vulgar thing.

Chapter 1 Ten

When Xuanzang was young, he traveled around with his master, monk Faming, and saw a lot of suffering in the world.

Monk Faming's original intention was to let Xuanzang realize the greatness of Buddhism in this process, so that he could become more pious and devote himself to practicing Buddhism.

Originally, the process went smoothly.

The long travel has indeed planted in Xuanzang's heart the seeds of wanting to relieve the suffering of all living beings.

However, after the appearance of the emperor in Chang'an City 18 years ago, Xuanzang began to have doubts about the salvation of the world by Buddhism.

And with the passage of time, this suspicion has become deeper and heavier.

Until a few years ago, he suddenly realized that learning Buddhism might not be able to save the people of Tang Dynasty.

However, under the persuasion of the monk Faming, Xuanzang still held his last hope and came to Chang'an, the capital of the Tang Dynasty, to seek the authenticity of Buddhism.

But five years later, his Buddhism has surpassed Chang'an, but he still hasn't found any way to save the world in Buddhism.

On the contrary, it was the elder fairy who happened to meet in a dream who pointed out to him a seemingly feasible way to save the world.

Become stronger!

Only when one is strong enough to carry out one's own will with the fists in one's hands, can one be qualified to talk about and be able to save the suffering of all living beings.

Xuanzang thought this made sense.

And with the addition of the "Zi Lei Boxing Sutra" and the enhancement of his own strength, he felt more and more that this was the correct way to save the world.

Practicing Buddhism can only persuade people to be good, and can only save people after death, but it cannot recite death to living people who do evil, nor can it recite blessings to good people who do good.

Practicing Buddhism probably cannot save the people of Tang Dynasty.

You can practice boxing.

When you meet a wicked person, you beat him to death with your fists. This is actually a blessing for a good person.

Xuanzang felt this way more and more.

Since it is useless to study Buddhism, what kind of monks are you still doing, and what rules and precepts are you keeping?

Monk robes are so ugly, don’t they look good in normal clothes?

It's so cold with a bald head, it should be very warm when you grow your hair, right?

Lust and Caution are so difficult, don’t pretty girls look good?

The meat abstinence is a betrayal of the body, isn’t it good to eat meat and drink wine?

……

……

Therefore, the idea of returning to secular life often sprouted in Xuanzang's heart.

If it weren't for the fear that he would return to secular life as the number one eminent monk of the Tang Dynasty, which might cause an uproar, he would have taken action a long time ago.

The recent refinement of the "Zi Lei Fist Sutra" has made his thoughts of returning to secular life more serious.

But before he could act, he was suddenly nominated by the monks all over Chang'an as the eminent monk to preside over the Land and Water Conference, which made Xuanzang a little at a loss.

"Masters, it's not that the poor monk is modest." Xuanzang clasped his hands together, and said in a somewhat embarrassed way: "It's really because the poor monk usually only does some small tasks, how can he take on such a heavy responsibility?"

The Water and Land Assembly or the Water and Land Dharma Assembly, the full name is "Dharma Realm Saint Fan Water and Land Purdue Great Zhai Shenghui", it is one of the most solemn and grand Buddhist ceremonies in Tang Buddhism.

Therefore, hosting the Water and Land Conference will inevitably attract the attention of the entire Tang Buddhist sect, which is a very heavy burden.

Xuanzang felt that he was a person who wanted to return to the secular world, and it was inappropriate to preside over such a grand Buddhist event.

But all the monks in Chang'an elected him with one voice, and soon Tang Emperor Li Shimin's will also arrived, ordering him to be the host of the water and land meeting.

In this way, Buddhist activities are flourishing, resentful souls are saved, and the pollution of the Jing River is dispelled.

Xuanzang was completely helpless, so he could only think in his heart: "Let's preside over this water and land meeting first, and return to vulgarity after the meeting is over, there can be no further delay!"

Wine shops, butcher shops, and that brothel.

He wants to go for a walk.

But this will have to wait until after returning to vulgarity.
