Journey to the West: Man in heaven, working nine to five

They had already traveled a long distance, and time had passed from spring to winter, he didn't know how long.

Soon, they arrived in front of a high mountain.

This mountain was very towering, and as far as the eye could see, it seemed to soar into the clouds, looking majestic and grand.

The high mountain occupied a vast area, blocking everyone's path. To proceed, they could only cross this mountain directly.

Seeing this high mountain, Tang Sanzang couldn't help but say, "Wukong, this mountain peak is towering and extremely dangerous. I don't know if there is a road. Be careful in everything."

Saying that, he jumped off the white horse, wanting to walk.

Sun Wukong replied, "Master, although this high mountain looks dangerous, there must be a road. Even the wild beasts in the mountains will inevitably trample out a path."

"Be careful of the wild beasts in the mountains," Tang Sanzang said.

He raised his head and saw the trees rustling. A hint of blood color suddenly appeared in his eyes: "There must be demons in the deep mountains and forests. I will go and see."

Hearing this, Zhu Bajie quickly stopped him: "Master, this place is not far from the Spirit Mountain in the Western Heaven. There probably aren't any demons. Even if there are, Brother Monkey will take care of it. Master, you should go back to the white horse."

"Bajie, what are you saying? I don't need protection," Tang Sanzang said dissatisfied.

Zhu Bajie, recalling Tang Sanzang's previous display of divine power, immediately shut his mouth.

While they were talking, Sun Wukong had already taken the golden staff and arrived at a rocky cliff. He looked around and shouted, "Master, go this way, there is indeed a road here."

"I'm coming," Tang Sanzang immediately stepped forward quickly, not even riding the white horse.

Zhu Bajie had no choice but to pull the reins of the white horse and quickly followed.

Sha Seng, carrying the luggage, walked behind, his steps light and his speed not slow.

The last one, Chu Hao, was very leisurely, observing the surrounding scenery.

This high mountain was shrouded in clouds and mist, with streams flowing through it. The surrounding area was filled with fragrant flowers, and the dense jungle swayed its branches, making it look beautiful.

The group arrived at the cliff, and they saw immature plum trees and pure white plum trees scattered in the mountains and forests, as well as willows and peach trees with green and red intermingling, making it look extremely beautiful.

Along that road, the group continued to move forward.

On the way, cuckoos chirped and swallows spread their wings, making this place look very harmonious.

Looking at such beautiful scenery, Tang Sanzang couldn't help but ask, "Wukong, how long have I been away from the Tang Dynasty on this journey to the West?"

Sun Wukong scratched his head: "Master, how would I know? If you're talking about when you met me, it's been almost fifteen years."

Back then, Tang Sanzang bid farewell to the Tang Emperor and traveled alone until he found Sun Wukong, and then he successively encountered Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing.

Today, he didn't expect it to have been more than ten years.

Hearing this, a touch of sadness appeared in Tang Sanzang's eyes: "I didn't expect it to have been so long. Time really flies."

Sun Wukong couldn't bear to see Tang Sanzang being sentimental, and quickly said, "Master, the Spirit Mountain in the Western Heaven is not far away. Let's set off quickly. We should be able to arrive soon. Why be sentimental here?"

But Tang Sanzang shook his head slightly: "This journey to the West, the actions of the Spirit Mountain have greatly disappointed me. If it weren't for the true scriptures, I would have turned back long ago."

Tang Sanzang, with the world in his heart, now only wanted to obtain the true scriptures and then enlighten the world, so that the world would have less disaster and suffering.

But to be honest, along the way, he felt that the way the Western Heaven acted was too much.

Seeing this, Zhu Bajie suddenly said, "Master, what if the Tathagata Buddha is unwilling to give us the true scriptures?"

After all, along the way, they had repeatedly caused the Western Heaven to return defeated, and even openly opposed the Western Heaven, dividing their believers.

"You idiot, what nonsense are you talking about?" Sun Wukong glared at him.

Zhu Bajie muttered, "Who knows what the Tathagata Buddha is thinking? If he knows we're going to get the true scriptures and moves them away, how can we possibly get them?"

At this time, Sha Seng, who had been silent, spoke: "Second Senior Brother, don't talk nonsense. Besides, with the Upper Immortal here, how can we not get the true scriptures?"

Zhu Bajie then remembered Chu Hao. Seeing that his boss was admiring the scenery, he smiled and said, "That's right, with the boss here, we will definitely be able to find the true scriptures."

After speaking, he continued: "Let's get the true scriptures quickly so we can go back sooner."

This road was too difficult. Although they had a good half-month in Bhikkhu Country before.

But that was ultimately a flash in the pan, and they still had to endure the elements.

Zhu Bajie missed his days in the Heavenly Court.

But when he thought that his boss was just like him, he felt a lot of relief.

Just then, as they were talking, they had already arrived in front of a large black pine forest.

Seeing the black pine trees standing there like pillars, Tang Sanzang frowned: "Wukong, there are demons."

Sun Wukong was speechless.

He thought, Master, why are you stealing my lines?

Thinking that, he still said, "Master, I didn't feel any demonic energy. There are no demons."

But although Tang Sanzang didn't see any demons, he still insisted, "You see, we just passed the rugged mountain road and immediately encountered this large black pine forest. There must be something strange about it. There must be demons here."

He said it with certainty, almost making Sun Wukong, who hadn't sensed any demons, begin to doubt his life.
