I'm a Master in India
Chapter 224 Revenge
Anand had already left the devil's den, the Arthur Road Jail that had held him.
But standing at its entrance, his body still trembled slightly uncontrollably, and even his healed wounds faintly ached.
"Today we will make an end of it," Ron said in a calm voice.
Anand moved his lips but said nothing.
The van at the prison entrance slowly drove over, and the person inside rolled down the window and shook his head.
Anil immediately understood. He told the driver to drive towards Mumbai Port, with the van following far behind.
Mumbai Port has many shipyards, some government-owned and some private.
The government shipyards have dedicated funding, so there's no need to worry about unemployment. Some private shipyards, facing the impact of foreign vessels, have already gone bankrupt and closed.
The tower in the dockyard was empty. Due to lack of maintenance, all the steel frames were heavily rusted under the corrosion of the sea breeze, revealing ugly reddish-brown scars, like dried bloodstains.
Footsteps echoed, occasionally mixed with the sound of heavy objects scraping against the stairs.
The four wardens were dragged up the tower step by step like this, their faces covered in bruises and rust.
Ron stepped onto the top of the tower. This was a platform, roughly where flags were once flown and lookouts were posted.
It was open on all sides, with its back to the land and facing the sea. The floor beneath was made of welded steel grates, through whose gaps the surging seawater could be seen.
Supported by two large men, Anand cautiously approached the railing.
"Ron, it's too high here."
"Don't you think this is a good place?"
Anand frowned, "If we relieve ourselves, the sea breeze will blow it everywhere."
Ron was startled, then burst into laughter.
Anand also laughed, but his laughter was absentminded.
His gaze frequently scanned the wardens lying near his feet like dead dogs.
His memories of them were deeply etched. He remembered their roars, the bamboo sticks wrapped in iron sheets they wielded, and their sharp, mocking laughter.
And, and the moment they stood on stones and leaped onto his arms.
Pain, pain that went deep into the bone marrow.
Anand's vision swam with blackness, yet he clenched his teeth tightly, grinding them.
Hatred, humanity's most raging emotion, was suffocating.
Fear makes one's mouth dry, hatred makes one speechless.
Of course, Anand wanted revenge. He wasn't an angel; he was a person.
"Wake them up," Ron waved his hand.
Several large men stepped forward, slapping them left and right, the sound echoing loudly.
In just a few slaps, the four wardens slowly opened their eyes.
It was about time, Ron had calculated the anesthesia dosage precisely.
"Who are you? Do you know the Dawood Gang?" The leading bearded man blustered but was inwardly timid.
"Do you recognize him?" Ron patted Anand's shoulder beside him.
"It's you, that Dalit!" The bearded men exclaimed, seemingly extremely astonished by Anand's appearance.
"I heard you took exceptional care of my friend inside?"
"Who are you?" The bearded men didn't recognize Ron.
They had been in prison for over ten years and knew nothing about present-day Mumbai.
"Who I am isn't important. Now it's time to settle the score."
Ron gave them no chance to speak and began acting almost immediately.
Several subordinates forcefully stuffed large wads of rags into their mouths to prevent them from shouting or harming themselves.
The four wardens struggled with muffled cries, but their hands and feet were held down, making all their efforts futile.
Throughout, Anand watched intently, saying nothing.
"The best revenge, like the best lovemaking, should be done slowly, and with eyes open," Ron whispered softly.
First was the bearded man. His arm was forcefully pulled and placed on the iron railing.
A large man stepped forward holding a stone hammer. He grinned maliciously. Then he raised the hammer and brought it down without hesitation.
Right on the elbow! Crack! There was a grinding sound audible to the naked ear.
The bearded man's mouth was gagged, preventing him from screaming. His legs twitched violently, then the trembling spread throughout his body, finally ending with rapid shaking of his head.
The remaining three wardens watched, their livers and gallbladders splitting in terror. Some struggled, others collapsed to the ground, a wet yellow stain appearing in their crotches.
The large man holding the stone hammer didn't stop. He repeated the process, smashing the bearded man's other arm.
The sound of bone and sinew grinding was hard for even the sea breeze to conceal.
By the time the bearded man was put down, he had already passed out, his two arms limp like noodles.
Ron turned his head. Anand was crying, his whole body trembling.
The large man then walked towards another warden, who shook his head frantically, extremely terrified.
"That's enough, Ron Baba, that's enough..." Anand cried heartbrokenly.
He cried so sadly, yet so freely.
His lingering nightmares seemed to drift away with the sea breeze, silently and without a trace.
Ron held Anand's shoulder, looked into his eyes, and only after confirming something, nodded.
"Don't let the devil stay in your heart for too long."
"Ron Baba, you are a good person..."
"We are all good people."
"Yes, we are all good people!" Anand cried and laughed at the same time.
"Let's go back," Ron said, putting his arm around his shoulder and going downstairs.
The sea breeze whistled, bringing sharp gusts to their ears.
Thump, thump, the sound of sacks falling into the water came, but they didn't stop walking.
Was he a good person? Ron wasn't sure.
The killer, the prison - the two thorns in Ron's heart had been removed.
The gloom that had accumulated for many days slightly eased.
He wanted to find someone to talk to, but there seemed to be no suitable person around. In the end, he went to find Mary and the others.
The other women were either too naive or too well protected, and hadn't yet recognized the bloody side of this city.
Only Mary and the others understood that kind of jungle rule, and they knew more about the matters at The Palace.
"Recently, Abu has been frequently entering and leaving The Palace, and the number of people around him is also increasing," Mary reminded him.
"Perhaps they've heard something recently," Ron said with an inexplicable look in his eyes.
"If you really plan to do something, it's best to be careful."
"I know, I'm not a hothead. I will thoroughly enjoy this process," Ron chuckled.
"Alright, you seem to be in a good mood today." She sat down beside him.
"Revenge is the best psychological medicine." Ron sat on the sofa, gently stroking their backs, which were smooth and soft.
He indeed felt much more at ease. It was rare for him to fully dedicate himself to messing around with them for half the night.
"I can feel it, it's very powerful," Lena said, lying on his lap and giggling foolishly.
"You know, I've been busy with other things recently, accumulating for many days."
"So, you finally got what you wanted?"
"No, far from it. There are still too many things I haven't figured out."
The Palace? Hader Khan? Johnny? What role did they play when Anand was arrested?
Ron needed to figure it out, but one thing he could confirm was that The Palace was his next target for revenge!
Dealing with the killer only removed the thorn closest to his throat.
The few wardens in the prison were to help Anand overcome the trauma he suffered mentally.
Behind the problem, the culprit who caused all this has not yet faced judgment, and his revenge will not stop.
Soon, it will be soon, not too long.
"How is your movie coming along?" Ron cleared the distracting thoughts from his mind.
"Director Chopra started filming ages ago," Lena said, idly fiddling with his fingers.
"When was that?" Ron hadn't paid much attention to Bollywood recently.
"The filming plan was set when you were in Uttar Pradesh. The budget is forty-seven million rupee, and Solar Entertainment invested ten million, accounting for twenty-one percent."
"Wow, a big investment! As a major investor, you're not even on set supervising?"
"The first scenes to be filmed require shooting locations in Punjab and Kashmir. It's too far and too dangerous there, so we were too lazy to go," Lena complained.
"That's right. This movie is different from 'in praise of durga'; we don't have complete control," Mary agreed.
Solar Entertainment is not the largest investor in "Love in the Time of War and Luck". Chopra's own film company is, and there are other investors as well.
As co-producers, Mary and the others don't have as much say. They just need to keep an eye on things here in Mumbai.
Of course, a more important reason is that the two were worried about Ron's recent series of actions. They stayed here to be able to look after him at any time.
"This is a rare opportunity to integrate into Bollywood, you don't have to do this," Ron said, feeling their concern.
"We just don't want to see your little lover every day," Mary said with a smile.
"Yes, I still prefer Urmila," Lena agreed.
"Manisha is just a little smart, she's not bad at heart," Ron explained helplessly.
The female lead of "Love in the Time of War and Luck" is Manisha, which Ron had put in.
The two movies she filmed last year, one released at the end of last year and one in February this year, both flopped, disastrously flopped.
The budget for both movies was around fifteen million, and the box office revenue was also around that much. After deducting the cinema's share, they couldn't even recoup the principal.
Manisha cried and said she couldn't make it in Bollywood anymore and wanted to return to Nepal.
What could Ron do? After enjoying the 'three-way service' she provided, he could only once again play the role of a sugar daddy.
Relying on the goodwill from rescuing Sanjay Dutt, Chopra agreed without hesitation.
Of course, he himself was also very satisfied with Manisha. As a Bollywood actress, being pretty was enough.
This was a large investment of nearly fifty million rupee, and Manisha was grateful, having enjoyed 'lollipops' for a long time.
In front of her Bollywood peers, she didn't mind at all showing off her special relationship with Ron.
Too scheming!
Mary and Lena weren't fond of her. Urmila was much simpler and easy to trick.
"Anyway, we'll stay in Mumbai. Director Chopra is expected to be back in about a month."
"Alright, if that's what you want." Ron didn't plan to interfere with the movie.
"If this movie is a hit, then our Solar Entertainment will become a well-known production company in Bollywood," Mary said, full of anticipation.
"Honestly, romance films aren't as popular as action films," Ron reminded her.
"Director Chopra has a good reputation and has won awards, so there shouldn't be a problem. Plus, the movie's soundtrack is excellent; several record companies are already negotiating for copyright, so we are very confident."
That was true. Regardless of how Chopra's movies were, his music cassettes sold exceptionally well.
Often, even before the movie is released, the music copyright is sold early.
"I wonder how much profit this ten million rupee can bring us. You know, I've been seriously short on money lately." Ron had recently taken out another large bank loan.
"I heard about it. You have a Sur Industrial Park plan, five hundred million rupee? Now that's a big investment!"
"It's just a plan," Ron smiled, "Before formal construction begins, there's still one thing to resolve."
The Palace. This thought popped into Mary and the others' minds simultaneously.
