"Roger that, Captain. I've also spotted a hidden sentry and am dealing with it," Wang Ze replied, his tone very firm.
Su Ting checked the map again, confirmed his direction, and then moved forward quickly.
Soon after, he arrived at a half-open room, from which dim yellow light shone.
He gently pushed open the door, and the scene before him made him pause in surprise.
The room was filled with a large amount of weapons, equipment and communication devices, clearly an enemy's temporary arsenal.
Even more surprisingly, in the corner, there was a man in an officer's uniform, with his back to the door, studying data on a laptop.
"Who are you?" The officer noticed something was wrong, turned around quickly, and reached for his sidearm at his waist.
"Put down your gun and put your hands up!" Su Ting shouted, pointing his pistol at the other man.
A cunning glint flashed in the officer's eyes, and he suddenly lunged toward the pile of weapons beside him.
Su Ting gave him no chance; a precise bullet struck his arm. The officer cried out in pain and collapsed to the ground.
"Speak, what is your plan?" Su Ting walked up to the other party and asked in a cold voice.
The officer clutched his arm and said through gritted teeth.
"Don't get too cocky... Our reinforcements will be here soon, and you won't be able to escape!"
Just then, hurried footsteps came from outside the door.
"Captain, come quick and help!" It was Wang Ze's voice.
Su Ting frowned, quickly tied the officer up with a rope, and rushed out the door.
Several enemy soldiers were approaching from a distance, their firepower intense. Wang Ze was already pinned against the wall.
"Get down!" Su Ting shouted to Wang Ze, while quickly throwing two smoke grenades to block his vision.
Using the dense smoke as cover, Su Ting and Wang Ze quickly moved to a new position and began to fight back, taking advantage of the surrounding cover.
Chapter 292 Finding a Favorable Cover
Amidst the billowing smoke, Su Ting and Wang Ze moved swiftly between the bunkers.
Bullets whizzed past their ears, sending sparks flying. The air was thick with the smell of gunpowder and the tension of battle.
"Captain, there are too many of them. We need to find a better position as soon as possible!" Wang Ze shouted.
"I know, follow me!" Su Ting replied in a deep voice, his eyes quickly scanning the surroundings for suitable cover.
Taking advantage of the smoke, the two quickly moved to an abandoned machine room.
The area, piled high with old equipment, provided excellent cover. Su Ting leaned against a rusty iron wall, peering out through a crack.
The enemy's footsteps grew closer; they were clearly searching the area as well.
Su Ting whispered to Wang Ze, "Prepare the grenades. Wait until they get close before making your move."
Wang Ze nodded, took a grenade in his hand, and gripped the pin tightly.
Suddenly, hurried footsteps sounded outside the door, accompanied by the hushed conversation of several soldiers. They appeared in the doorway, cautiously peeking inside.
"Now!" Su Ting shouted in a low voice. Wang Ze immediately pulled the pin on the grenade and threw it outwards.
At the same time, Su Ting raised his gun and fired continuously at the enemy outside the door.
As the grenade exploded, the massive flash and shockwave instantly repelled the enemies outside the door. Debris and dust flew everywhere, and several soldiers were knocked off their feet.
"Get out of here now!" Su Ting shouted as he rushed out of the room.
Wang Ze followed closely behind, and the two ran along the corridor, searching for the next safe haven.
After running a few steps, Wang Ze suddenly stopped and pointed to a door in front of him, "There, let's go in and take a look!"
Su Ting nodded in agreement, and the two of them pushed open the door together, revealing a narrow stairwell.
They quickly climbed up to a platform on the second floor.
This platform connects several channels, making it clearly an important transportation hub.
"This place should be relatively safer," Wang Ze said breathlessly, while keeping a watchful eye on the movements below.
Su Ting took out a map and quickly located his position. "We're deep inside the factory, not far from the command center."
At that moment, a faint voice came through the communicator.
"Captain, how are things going? I've discovered some new intelligence."
"Wang Ze, connect him," Su Ting said, while cautiously looking around at his surroundings.
"Okay, Captain." Wang Ze quickly adjusted the communicator's channel, and the voice became clearer.
"Captain, this is Yang Zhi. I found an enemy operation report on the first floor. It mentions that they will be transporting important supplies through here tonight."
"What supplies?" Su Ting asked, frowning.
"It's not clear what exactly it is yet, but it's definitely very important. They plan to transfer it in two hours."
“Understood, we will try our best to stop them,” Su Ting replied calmly. “Is your current location safe?”
"It's relatively safe. I'm in a storage room, and there are no signs of enemies around for the time being," Yang Zhi said.
“Okay, stay in touch and keep me updated. We need your information support,” Su Ting instructed.
"Understood, Captain," Yang Zhi replied.
Su Ting put away the communicator and turned to Wang Ze, saying, "We need to buy some time. Let's set up some traps here first."
Wang Ze nodded in agreement: "Then let's split up. I'll be in charge of the entrance here, and you'll be in charge of the other direction."
The two quickly divided the work and began setting traps and disguises at various key points.
Su Ting found some scrap cables and iron blocks, which he cleverly arranged into tripwires that would be triggered as soon as an enemy entered.
Wang Ze had set up several makeshift landmines at the entrance, which would explode if anyone stepped on them.
After doing all this, the two reunited.
“These should be able to hold them off for now,” Su Ting said.
"Hopefully so. We need to find the enemy's command center as soon as possible." Wang Ze's gaze was firm.
Su Ting nodded, checked the time, and decided to review the map again to determine the next course of action.
Just then, a series of rapid footsteps sounded downstairs, as if more enemies were pouring in.
"Watch out, the enemy is coming!" Wang Ze said in a low voice, his gun already aimed at the entrance to the passage downstairs.
Su Ting quickly put away the map, picked up his gun, and prepared for the impending battle.
Chapter 293 A Better Shooting Angle
As the smoke gradually dissipated, the footsteps downstairs became clearer. Su Ting and Wang Ze were on edge, holding their breath and waiting.
Suddenly, several enemies appeared at the entrance to the downstairs passage, cautiously raising their guns and searching around.
Wang Ze subtly shifted his position to ensure he had a better shooting angle.
"Three, two, one..." Su Ting counted silently in his mind. When the enemy was fully within firing range, he and Wang Ze pulled the trigger at the same time.
A series of gunshots rang out throughout the entire building, bullets flew out like raindrops, and several enemies fell to the ground.
The remaining enemies were thrown into chaos and scrambled for cover to fight back.
"Captain, this won't do, we have to retreat as soon as possible!" Wang Ze shouted, his magazine already empty.
"Come with me!" Su Ting said as he ran towards the stairwell, knowing he couldn't stay there any longer.
The two quickly climbed up the narrow stairs, bullets hitting the iron ladder from behind, sending sparks flying.
Fortunately, they were fast enough to reach a secluded corner on the third floor in no time.
The environment here is much quieter than the previous two floors; it's clearly a dead corner of the factory.
The surrounding area was filled with abandoned machinery and debris, forming a natural maze.
"Let's rest here for a while," Su Ting said, panting, his eyes still scanning the surroundings warily.
Wang Ze sat down against a wall, took out a new magazine from his backpack, and quickly put it on.
He looked at the map and frowned as he spoke.
"If we want to find the enemy's command center, we have to go through the central control room. That should be their most heavily guarded place."
“You’re right,” Su Ting nodded in agreement. “But we can’t force our way in; we need a smarter approach.”
Just then, the communicator rang again.
"Captain, are you still there?" Yang Zhi's voice came through the phone.
“We’re here. Any new intelligence?” Su Ting replied.
“I found a detailed factory floor plan with the locations of all the important facilities marked, including the exact location of the command center. I can send you the information.”
"Great, send it over quickly!" Su Ting said urgently.
A short while later, a detailed map appeared on their terminal devices. Su Ting and Wang Ze began to study it carefully.
