Infinite: Starting from Resident Evil

“I don’t know any Koru Nei.” The long-haired man interrupted him, his handsome face beaming with a smile. Then he raised a finger and said, “This is just a warning, understand?”

The burly man looked at the long-haired man with some confusion, and then he saw the Shinra soldiers behind the long-haired man surrounding them.

“Break their legs. I don’t want to see them on the streets for at least a month,” the long-haired man said as he turned and walked away.

"Don't worry, Director, we'll treat them well." A young man with red hair pulled out a baton and said with a smile, then kicked the big man over and swung the baton at him.

Hearing the screams behind him, the long-haired man looked in the direction the bus had left, a complex expression flashing across his face. He then said to the burly man in a suit and sunglasses beside him, "Go check on that person. I need all his information."

"Yes, Director." The burly man nodded vigorously.

More than half an hour later, the bus entered the seventh block.

Upon arriving in this neighborhood, Marlene became noticeably more excited, constantly introducing the place to Shen Ye.

“There’s a candy store on that street with really delicious lollipops, but my dad never lets me eat too many.”

"Uncle, look! There lives a really nice aunt over there."

"And here, sir, that bar is run by a really nice lady."

As Shen Ye caught a glimpse of the Seventh Heaven sign, a smile appeared on his face. Although he recovered quickly, Alice, who kept glancing at him out of the corner of her eye, noticed it.

Alice glanced at him thoughtfully, then pursed her lips and continued to tease Marlene in her arms.

Soon, the bus arrived at the station in the seventh block. The three of them got off the bus and, led by Marlene, walked towards her house.

Marlene's house wasn't far; she arrived after a short walk. Seeing the familiar building, Marlene excitedly shouted and went to knock on the door.

bang bang bang...

After a series of urgent knocks, there was no response from inside the room, which made Marlene anxious, so she knocked on the door even harder.

“Little Marlene, you’ve been missing for so many days, do you think your father would just stay home and wait for you to come back?” Shen Ye picked at his ear with his finger and frowned. “He must have gone out to look for you.”

"What do we do now?" Alice asked, frowning.

“There are two options. One, we can wait here for her father to come back, but that would take at least a whole day.” Shen Ye held up one finger.

“While I wouldn’t mind waiting all day for Marlene, I’d like to hear about the second option,” Alice said helplessly.

"Secondly..." Shen Ye squatted down in front of Marlene and asked, "Do you have someone you trust most here?"

“Of course,” Marlene answered without hesitation. “We can go find Tifa, she’s in that bar we just passed.”

"Alright, take us to that bar." Hearing that familiar name, Shen Ye smiled and patted Marlene's head.

Marlene nodded, turned and walked towards the bar. Soon after, they saw the bar's sign again.

"Seventh Heaven." Alice looked at the sign, gave a soft hum, and then followed Marlene inside.

As a bar located in the seventh block, Seventh Heaven is not as lively as the bars in the upper district of Midgard. As soon as Shen Ye and Alice entered the bar, they were greeted by soft music.

"Welcome to the Seventh Heaven".

Upon seeing someone enter, a beautiful woman with red eyes and black hair standing in front of the counter leaned forward slightly.

But she immediately froze on the spot, then exclaimed in surprise, "My God, little Marlene, why are you back?"

Then, she used one hand to support herself and jumped off the counter, rushing forward to hug Marlene.

"Thank God you're back safe and sound." The dark-haired beauty pulled Marlene tightly into her arms.

"Don't do this, Tifa, I'm suffocating!" Marlene cried out for help. "Uncle, Alice, please help me!"

The black-haired beauty then realized that there were two other people watching, so she quickly let go of Marlene, stood up, and said somewhat apologetically, "I'm sorry, I lost my composure when I saw little Marlene return safely."

"That's normal, it's only human nature!" Shen Ye said with a smile.

“Uncle, Alice, this is Tifa.” At this moment, Marlene, who had caught her breath, took Shen Ye and Alice’s hands and introduced them to the black-haired beauty: “They brought me back.”

"Hello, my name is Tifa Lockhart." The dark-haired beauty clasped her hands in front of her abdomen and bowed slightly to the two of them, saying, "Thank you very much for bringing little Marlene back."

"It was nothing." Shen Ye shook his head, then pointed to himself and then to Alice, "My name is Shen Ye, and this is Alice."

Tifa bowed slightly after hearing this, saying, "It's a pleasure to meet you."

“We are happy too.” Alice looked Tifa up and down, her gaze lingering on Tifa’s chest for a moment before she nodded.

"Oh, I completely forgot! Please have a seat, I'll get you some drinks." Tifa didn't notice Alice's gaze; after her initial surprise, she remembered she still had to entertain them.

Back at the counter, Tifa first poured Marlene a glass of juice, then asked, "What would you like to drink?"

Shen Ye glanced at the wine cabinet behind Tifa but didn't respond immediately. Alice, however, hesitated for a moment. She looked at the wine on the cabinet, then at Marlene's juice, and sighed, "Let's go with the juice."

Tifa poured her a glass of juice as well, then looked at Shen Ye and asked, "What about you?"

"Anything is fine, as long as it's not juice." Shen Ye didn't recognize most of the wines on the counter, so after thinking for a moment, he handed the choice over to Tifa.

“Then… I’ll mix you a drink,” Tifa said, taking out her bartending tools.

After a dazzling display of skills, Tifa placed a glass of pink wine in front of Shen Ye.

"Our signature dish, Starfall Canyon, please try it." Tifa leaned against the counter, her voice filled with anticipation.

Shen Ye picked up his wine glass, and through the pink liquid, he could see the expectant look on Tifa's face.

"It's beautiful," Shen Ye praised, though it was unclear whether he was complimenting the wine or the person, before taking a large gulp.

"How does it taste?" Tifa asked.

"Very good." Shen Ye breathed a sigh of relief and nodded.

"Really? I'll have one too." Alice finished her juice and handed the empty glass to Tifa.

Chapter 141! Alice's Thoughts

"Alice, do you drink alcohol?" Shen Ye took another sip of "Starfall Canyon" and glanced at her.

"No," Alice answered honestly. She knew many things, but drinking was definitely not one of them.

"Then let's not waste it. Miss Tifa, give me another glass." Shen Ye finished the rest of the wine in his glass and pushed it towards Tifa.

"Just call me Tifa, don't be so formal." Tifa nodded and started mixing drinks again.

Hearing Shen Ye's words and seeing Tifa continuing to mix drinks for him, Alice grumbled in dissatisfaction, "Could you make a little more? Give me some to try."

“Of course, Alice.” Tifa didn’t refuse. To her, the more people liked the drinks she made, the more it affirmed her abilities.

Soon, two cups of "Starfall Canyon" were placed in front of the two.

Shen Ye picked up his glass and took a big gulp. He had to admit, it tasted really good, much better than any tequila or brandy.

Alice picked up her glass but hesitated. She had been through so much, but this was the first time she had ever drunk alcohol.

"You should continue drinking your juice, Alice. Give me the wine," Shen Ye said, reaching for Alice's glass.

But Alice suddenly poured the wine into her mouth and downed it in one gulp.

"It tastes pretty good, not as bad as others have said." Alice breathed a sigh of relief, the subtle sweetness making her very satisfied.

"Another one, please!" Alice called out, holding up her glass.

"Me too! Me too!" Marlene, who was drinking juice nearby, saw this and raised her hand to shout.

"Marlene, forget about it. You're still young. Let's wait until you're an adult." Tifa pinched Marlene's cheek, then started mixing drinks for Alice.

While waiting for Tifa to mix the drinks, Alice leaned on the counter, tilting her head and looking at Shen Ye with a dazed expression.

Then, her dazed gaze turned into surprise and disbelief, and finally, all that remained in her eyes was fear of the future.

"Why did it suddenly turn out like this?" Alice muttered to herself in a voice only she could hear. "Where did things go wrong?"

"What's wrong with you?" Seeing Alice staring at him with a complicated look in her eyes, her mouth opening and closing several times without making a sound, Shen Ye asked curiously, "Are you drunk already?"

"No way." Alice propped herself up, banishing her thoughts, and glared at Shen Ye.

Just then, Tifa placed the prepared drink in front of Alice, who immediately picked up the glass and drank it all in one gulp.

"Slow down, this isn't water." Shen Ye tried to stop him, but it was too late. He frowned and asked, "What's wrong with you? Why are you suddenly like this?"

“It’s nothing.” Alice shook her head vigorously, then turned away from him and faced Marlene, squinting as she poked Marlene’s cheek with her finger.

"This is so strange, could it be that her period has started?" Shen Ye couldn't figure out what was wrong with Alice, and could only attribute it to the possibility that she was menstruating.

"Would you like another drink?" Tifa asked considerately, looking at Shen Ye's puzzled expression.

"No need to trouble yourself, just give me any drink." Bartending is a skill, and Shen Ye felt bad having Tifa mix drinks for him all the time.

“It’s no trouble at all.” Tifa smiled slightly and picked up the bartending tools again.

However, just as Tifa was pouring Shen Ye a drink, the bar door was opened from the outside, and a man and a woman walked in.

The man was a big guy, his muscles bulging out of his clothes. You could tell from his appearance that he was a strongman. More importantly, his right hand was a mechanical arm with a metallic sheen.

The woman was a beautiful young girl with a red scarf tied around her forehead, and her ponytail tied with red cloth made her look incredibly youthful and beautiful.

"Barrett, Jesse, look who's back."

Upon seeing them, Tifa put down her bartending tools and waved vigorously at them.
