"If you don't give me any random nicknames, I think it would be my honor." Shen Ye smiled and waved to the black-haired witch: "Well then, Miss Witch, see you next time."

“Yeah, it won’t be long before next time.” Bayonetta waved to him as well.

Watching Shen Ye and Enzo leave the bar, the black-haired witch thought for a moment in the quiet bar, then turned her head to look at the wine cellar and muttered, "Anyway, you won't starve to death, so I'll let you stay quietly for two days."

Then, she bit down hard on the lollipop in her mouth, and amidst the flying strands of hair, it transformed into a black cat.

After leaving the bar, Shen Ye walked straight toward Enzo's sports car, but Enzo turned back to look at the bar's rooftop after going down the steps.

“Shen, it seems you and that cat aren’t meant to be; it ran away.” Enzo said with some regret for Shen Ye, “Perhaps you should have stayed.”

"And then she'll eat me up?" Shen Ye didn't turn around, leaned against the car door, jumped into the passenger seat, and fastened his seatbelt.

“Isn’t this a good thing?” Enzo opened the car door and got in. “Well, to be honest, she is indeed a very difficult woman to deal with. It should be a good thing that she’s not staying.”

However, just as he finished speaking, a meow came from behind the car, and then the two heard a soft thud, as if something had jumped onto the trunk lid.

"Good heavens, it actually came to our door!" Enzo turned around and saw that it was the black cat, and exclaimed in surprise.

"It seems I have a special connection with her." Shen Ye looked at the cat, a hint of curiosity flashing in his eyes, wondering what the witch was up to.

However, he still greeted the black cat and gave her a nickname: "We meet again, Miss Cat."

Upon hearing the address "Miss Cat," the black cat's eyes showed confusion, but Shen Ye's acting was superb this time, and she didn't notice anything amiss. She simply meowed softly as a response, and then, with a gentle push of her limbs, she actually jumped onto Shen Ye's shoulder and lay down.

“It looks like it wants to go with you.” Enzo glanced at Miss Cat, looking at her lazy appearance, and sighed, “You see, even a cat’s personality is better than that witch’s. No wonder you don’t want to stay.”

Shen Ye glanced at the cat on his shoulder and thought to himself, "Such a strong rosemary scent, are you afraid I won't recognize you?" But he said aloud, "Enzo, it's not good to talk bad about people behind their backs. Be careful she doesn't cause you trouble."

Enzo said nonchalantly, "What's there to be afraid of? She can't hear us anyway. Maybe she's put on her nun's habit again and is fiddling with some kind of scripture."

Upon hearing this, the cat, who had been squinting, glanced up at him. Shen Ye could even feel the two front paws on his shoulder revealing their sharp claws.

So he gloated and egged him on: "Maybe we shouldn't. I think she's pretty good."

"So you regret it?" Enzo glanced at Shen Ye, then started the sports car. With a roar, he continued, "Regret is useless. She was probably just playing you. Do you think I don't know that nothing actually happened between you two? Don't be fooled by how she seems to be seducing everyone. She's actually very innocent. She probably hasn't even tasted a man's touch. Tsk tsk, I wonder how many virgins she's lived through."

As always, she's nagging and... has a sharp tongue...

Shen Ye sighed, thinking that if Enzo knew Bayonetta was in the car, he probably would have jumped out of the car right now.

"Alright, Enzo, focus on driving." Shen Ye pinched the bridge of his nose, then he remembered something...

"Enzo, can I find a designated driver here?"

Chapter 514! Flying Kick in Mid-Air

Enzo was very lucky; they didn't encounter any police on the way and returned home smoothly.

The time spent in the bar plus the round trip only took a little over two hours, so when the two of them and the cat returned, the lights in Enzo's house were still on, and his wife and children were still waiting for him to come home.

Shen Ye then followed Enzo into the house. In the living room, Enzo's two children were sitting on the sofa watching cartoons. When they saw the two of them return, they immediately abandoned the TV and rushed towards Enzo.

At this moment, Enzo's daughter, Edna, noticed the cat perched on Shen Ye's shoulder. As a little girl, she found it hard to resist cats, and immediately ran to Shen Ye, looking at him obediently: "Uncle Shen, can I hold the kitten for a bit?"

"That depends on whether she's willing or not." Shen Ye glanced at the cat on his shoulder, then squatted down on purpose.

Bayonetta hates two things more than anything in her life: cockroaches and crying children. "Get down, Miss Cat. When you're perched on my head like this, I feel like I'm possessed by a ghost." With Shen Ye's current physical condition, he wouldn't feel the weight even if he carried a car on his back, but he still wasn't used to having something on his head.

But Miss Cat remained unmoved and instead changed to a more comfortable position.

Helpless, Shen Ye could only raise his hand to try and forcibly lift her down, but was slapped away by a claw.

With a slight twitch of his lips, Shen Ye simply ignored her, took off his clothes, and went to bed.

After hanging up his clothes, Shen Ye lifted the covers and crawled inside. As soon as he lay down, Miss Cat, who had been lying on his head, couldn't stay still and had to jump down and stand by the pillow.

"Go find a place to sleep," Shen Ye said smugly to Miss Cat. He figured he'd just treat her like a real cat for now.

But before he could gloat for more than a few seconds, Miss Cat stepped over his face and moved to the other side of the bed.

Feeling the furry paws and tail brushing against his face, Shen Ye felt quite comfortable, but he still retaliated by sitting up at lightning speed, grabbing the cat's tail, and lifting her up.

Then, he was bitten by Miss Cat, which startled him so much that he immediately let go.

Looking at the teeth marks on his wrist and then at the cat clinging to his tail, Shen Ye wasn't angry. He just muttered, "Hopefully I won't need to get a rabies vaccine."

Then, he ignored Miss Cat and went to sleep.

His breathing quickly became steady.

Seeing that Shen Ye seemed to be asleep, Miss Cat loosened her tail. At this moment, she had a strange feeling that Shen Ye had already recognized her true identity.

But she wasn't sure, because apart from giving her a nickname and talking to her a lot, Shen Ye seemed to really treat her like a cat, at least without any politeness.

The cat stared at Shen Ye for a while with its dark, vertical pupils. Then, it walked around the bedside for a moment. Finally, it jumped onto Shen Ye's chest, curled up, yawned, and slowly closed its eyes.

But what she didn't notice was that a faint smile had appeared on Shen Ye's face at this moment.

When Shen Ye woke up, what came into view was... a round cat's butt.

So he immediately turned his head to the side. If Miss Cat had returned to her human form, he might have taken a second look, but there was nothing to see in a cat's butt. After staring at each other for a while, Shen Ye suddenly laughed. He felt that Bayonetta was much more interesting than Jeanne d'Arc, even though they were both cats.

At least, it won't be like when Joan of Arc turned into a cat, where every time he teased her, she would pounce on his face and lick him indiscriminately.

Just as Shen Ye was pondering whether he should apologize to Miss Cat or show her the photo he had just taken, the voice of the little girl Edna came from outside the door.

"Uncle Shen, Dad asked me to ask you if you're awake yet. We should have breakfast."
