"There are still mages in Midgard?"
In his view, how could a "backward" place like Earth possibly have such a high-end profession as a mage?
“A wizard?” Hermione raised an eyebrow and corrected her, “I’m a sorcerer.”
"Is there any difference?" Thor was a little confused.
“There’s a big difference,” Hermione said calmly. “You’ll see later.”
She paused, then continued, "Moreover, the water on Earth is much deeper than you imagine. If you want to know more, go back and ask your father, Odin."
Thor frowned, sensing that Hermione didn't show much respect for Odin.
He seemed to want to argue, but the words caught in his throat.
Instead, he lowered his head, looking at his empty hands, his eyes dimming.
"You're right, but that's no longer possible."
When Odin is mentioned, Thor seems to have triggered a NetEase Cloud Music depression switch: "I used to think I was invincible and could do whatever I wanted, but now I am nothing, I can't even lift my own hammer."
"What, you want to use Crescent Moon Slash too...?" Hermione asked knowingly.
"Judging from this, you didn't descend voluntarily, but were stripped of your divine power by the God-King and thrown to Earth?"
Thor nodded, his eyes looking confused.
"Because of my arrogance, I went to Jotunheim without permission and almost made a terrible mistake, so my father stripped me of my power and exiled me here."
Hermione listened attentively.
“I thought that as long as I performed well, I could regain recognition, take up Mjolnir, and return to Asgard.”
"But it's too late now, Father... is already dead."
At this point, Thor's eyes reddened, and his voice choked with emotion.
"what?!"
Hermione displayed her shock "just right," her eyes widening.
"Odin is dead? How could that be?"
Thor gave a wry smile, his voice filled with bitterness and helplessness.
"It's all my fault. If it weren't for me, Father wouldn't have..."
He told Hermione the "bad news" Loki had told him.
Hermione knew, of course, that Loki was lying, and that Odin was perfectly fine, just sleeping at home, but she didn't call him out on it.
Coulson stood aside, listening to the conversation between the two "big shots," feeling a chill run down his spine and becoming restless.
Good heavens, is this something they can even hear?
He never expected that the "suspicious person" they had arrested was actually Thor from mythology!
Moreover, the legendary god-king Odin is actually... dead!
The two were experiencing a huge shock to their worldviews. They secretly wiped the cold sweat from their foreheads and felt they desperately needed an ice-cold Coke to calm their nerves.
The amount of information was too much for the two of them to process, and they felt completely overwhelmed.
"Report sir!"
At that moment, an agent rushed in, interrupting the conversation in the interrogation room.
"A few people came in from outside, claiming to be this person's...colleagues."
The agent pointed at Thor with a strange expression.
Coulson and the bald man looked at each other in bewilderment.
colleague?
Thor can still have colleagues on Earth?
Only Hermione suddenly realized something and chuckled to herself.
“Let them in,” she said.
A moment later, several people entered the interrogation room.
The leader was a tall young woman, followed by a girl wearing glasses who was carrying a laptop and looking around curiously.
At the very back was a middle-aged man with slightly graying hair, who looked somewhat nervous.
Hermione recognized the three of them at a glance.
These are the friends Thor made on Earth during this time.
“Hello, I’m Jane Foster.” Jane looked at Coulson and spoke first. “This is my colleague Daisy, and Dr. Selvig.”
She pointed to the two people behind her, then her gaze fell on Thor.
"As for him... he's also our colleague, Dr. Donald Black. He only broke into the camp because he lost control of his emotions after your research data was confiscated. I apologize for his behavior and hope you can be lenient and let him go..."
"Oh, by the way, we're willing to post bail, and we'll also compensate for the damage he caused..."
Jane's voice grew softer and softer.
Clearly, she also felt that this reason was somewhat far-fetched, after all, Thor's performance and appearance did not resemble those of an ordinary scientific researcher at all.
Daisy and Dr. Selvig also looked at Coulson nervously, clearly not very confident in his explanation.
An eerie silence fell over the room.
Coulson, Sitwell, and Hermione looked at each other strangely.
Thor covered his face, unable to bear to look.
Seeing this, Jane and the others looked completely bewildered, having no idea what had happened.
Did they say something wrong? Why are these people looking at them like that?
"Cough cough..."
Coulson coughed lightly, about to expose her nonsense, when Hermione suddenly gave him a wink.
Coulson paused, then immediately understood Hermione's meaning, and said:
"Since it's a misunderstanding, then... let them go."
He waved his hand, signaling the agents to open the interrogation room door.
Jane was taken aback; she had never expected this.
She had assumed Coulson was the leader here, but after noticing Hermione's gaze, she realized that the young girl in front of her was the one in charge.
Saul confirmed her idea.
"Thank you," he said softly, looking at Hermione.
After the others left, Coulson looked at Hermione with a puzzled expression: "Miss Wizard, what are you doing...?"
"It was one thing to not know his identity before, but now that you do, do you still want to imprison the heir to the Asgardian throne?" Hermione retorted.
Chapter 91 Loki, the Melee Mage
"Asgard...is it very powerful?"
Coulson asked cautiously.
"Okay."
Hermione shrugged, her tone nonchalant: "They used to be very strong, but now... Odin and Hela are the only troublesome ones, but the most troublesome thing is the Rainbow Bridge."
"Rainbow Bridge? What's that?" Coulson asked, puzzled.
“A planet-destroying weapon,” Hermione said calmly. “Of all the Nine Realms, only Asgard possesses such a weapon.”
A planet-destroying weapon?!
Coulson's pupils contracted sharply, and his heart skipped a beat.
He then quickly picked up the communicator and connected to Fury's number.
"Sir, it's an emergency!"
"Coulson, calm down," Egg's voice came through the communicator. "What happened?"
Coulson tried to calm himself down and then reported everything that had just happened.
After a moment of silence, Fury spoke again:
"Miss Wizard, what are your thoughts?"
His voice sounded tired.
Clearly, the information he had just received was giving even the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. a major headache.
How much do you know about the 'Nine Realms'?
Hermione countered with a question.
After a few seconds of silence on the communicator, Fury's deep voice came through: "I know nothing."
