“Carl is a doctor who works at a hospital in Los Angeles…”

Talos answered Hermione's questions mechanically, like a puppet, recounting all the Skrull secrets without a single stumble.

Beside him, Sitwell felt a chill run down his spine.

The witch can even control people's minds?

Luckily, I was quick-witted and jumped ship in advance; otherwise, my fate would probably not have been much better than that of the goblin.

Sitwell secretly rejoiced.

Tonight's move was probably the best decision he'd ever made in his life.

Sitwell couldn't help but touch the metal wristband on his wrist again, only then did he feel a little more at ease.

……

late at night.

"Secretary Pierce orders that this alien be taken away."

Heavy footsteps echoed down the corridor as Rumlow, accompanied by several fully armed agents, headed toward the cell where Talos was being held.

The guard frowned: "Sir, please show me the minister's approval document."

Transferring prisoners? They weren't notified either.

"No problem, just a moment."

Rumlow pretended to search his clothes, but his eyes kept glancing at his men.

Taking advantage of the guards' inattention, the agents suddenly launched an attack. Several flashes of cold light appeared, and the guards fell into pools of blood.

In the cell, Talos was stunned.

"What are you..."

With a "click," the cell door opened.

Rumlow and several agents' faces contorted in pain; their green skin and pointed ears revealed them to be Skrulls!

"Talos, let's go."

"Rumlow, no, he should be called a Skrull now," urged.

Talos was full of questions, but this wasn't the time to ask; he could only follow them out of the prison.

……

Half an hour later.

In the suburbs, in front of an abandoned warehouse.

Talos pushed open the warehouse door and was dumbfounded.

The warehouse was filled with Skrulls; almost every Skrull you could find on Earth was here.

"Why are you all here?"

Talos was stunned. He thought it was just a small-scale rescue operation, but he didn't expect it to alarm the entire tribe.

From the crowd, a tall Skrull with a stern face stepped forward.

“Talos, didn’t you bribe the guards to summon us?” he asked in a low voice.

"I didn't, why do you say that?" Talos was even more confused.

He never did that, and it's even more impossible that he bribed the guards.

They were all tied up and thrown into the jar; there was no room for maneuver left.

"Who is it? Besides you, who else knows you've been captured and has access to our Skrull's internal communication methods?"

He paused, as if he had thought of something, and his tone suddenly changed.

"Did you tell Fury?" Graves was furious.

“Talos, this is our Skrull's most secret communication channel! How could you tell an Earthling?”

"Although we are cooperating with S.H.I.E.L.D. now, if one day we want to take over this planet, what you are doing will expose our secrets and create a huge obstacle to our Skrull secret invasion plan!"

Talos was thoroughly scolded and felt extremely wronged.

“I really didn’t tell Fury!” he shouted, trying to prove his innocence.

"If it wasn't him, then who else could it be?"

Graves didn't believe it.

The Skrulls looked at each other, none of them knowing what had happened.

"it's me."

A crisp sound suddenly rang out.

The air rippled, and Hermione's figure gradually appeared.

"It's you!"

Talos recognized Hermione immediately; he never dreamed she would be here.

"Why are you here?"

Talos's voice was full of doubt and wariness; he was completely clueless about the situation.

Before Hermione could answer, Glavy was already furious. He pointed at Talos, his voice filled with anger and disappointment.

"Talos, still denying it! This Earthling even knows the time and place of our operation. I think it was you who betrayed us!"

Glavy drew his weapon and aimed it at Hermione.

"Kill her!" he roared, and was about to fire.

"and many more!"

Talos quickly stopped him.

"Her identity is not simple. Don't make a move yet, just capture her!" He tried to persuade Gravey to calm down, but Gravey wouldn't listen at all.

"no!"

Graves roared.

"Whoever witnessed all of this will not leave alive!"

"Ah……"

Facing the dark muzzle of the gun, Hermione chuckled as if she hadn't seen it, her eyes full of mockery.

"Talos, look at the state you've become as a leader. You're practically being sidelined and you don't even realize it."

"Shoot her, kill her!"

This Earthling in front of him dares to ignore him!

Enraged, Gravey immediately ordered the guns to be opened fire.

A popping sound suddenly rang out, echoing in the night sky.

The bullet struck Hermione but was stopped by an invisible barrier, making a muffled sound.

"One, two, three..." Hermione muttered to herself, oblivious to the bullets in front of her.

"Link complete."

As soon as she finished speaking, she lightly waved her wand, "Soul Astral Projection!"

All the Skrulls present stopped moving abruptly, their eyes instantly becoming vacant.

How convenient… Hermione thought to herself.

Unfortunately, the number of connections, coverage, and duration are currently limited, and they also continuously drain her mental energy.

She looked ahead, her voice not loud, but clearly reaching the ears of every Skrull:

"Those who support Talos, stand on the left; those who support Graves, stand on the right."

The Skrulls were like puppets, mechanically following her commands, splitting into two groups.

"You, what did you do..." Talos's eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

Hermione completely ignored him and continued giving orders:

"Everyone...kill the enemy!"

"The last person left committed suicide."

Taros's mind went blank.

What terrified him even more was that the Skrulls actually began attacking each other, ruthlessly killing their own kind.

Screams and the clanging of weapons filled the air.

The warehouse instantly transformed into a living hell.

He wanted to stop it, wanted to curse, but he couldn't utter a single word.

Only when the last person fell to the ground did he point at Hermione, trembling, as if he couldn't believe what had just happened.
