Upon entering Mondstadt, news spread quickly, and residents flocked to him, their eyes filled with curiosity and admiration. Surrounded by the crowd, Longwen arrived at the Adventurers' Guild.
When Ella Musk saw Long Wen, a look of surprise flashed in her eyes. "You're really something! You finished the mission so quickly, and it looks like you reaped quite a reward."
Long Wen smiled and placed the spoils on the ground. "I have accomplished my mission, Miss Ella. This was truly a near-death experience."
Amber pushed through the crowd and walked to Longwen's side, her eyes full of concern. "You're injured! Go get some treatment quickly."
Long Wen waved his hand, "It's nothing, just some superficial injuries. These injuries are worth it for this victory."
Kaeya also walked over. He looked at Longwen, the doubt in his eyes gone, replaced by a hint of approval. "Well done, kid. It seems Mondstadt has gained another capable adventurer."
As dawn broke, Longwen, carrying his pack and with a longsword at his waist, hurried towards the monster camp. Along the way, his lips were tightly pressed together, his eyes revealing the nervousness and anticipation typical of an adventurer newly arrived in Teyvat. This was his first important mission; if he could complete it successfully, he would distinguish himself in the Adventurers' Guild.
Not far away, Wendy strolled over, humming a little tune, his green bard's attire swaying gently in the breeze. "Hey, Longwen, where are you rushing off to?" Wendy winked, a mischievous grin playing on his lips.
Long Wen stopped and saw that it was Wendy. He breathed a slight sigh of relief and said with a wry smile, "I took on a mission to clear out a monster camp and I'm on my way there. I'm very nervous and have no idea what to do."
Wendy crossed his arms and circled Long Wen, his gaze landing on his sword. "Hey, what's the rush? With your skills and a bit of cleverness, you'll be fine. Maybe those monsters will be scared out of their wits at the sight of you." He teased, trying to ease Long Wen's tension.
Chapter Ninety-One: Accelerating the Pace
Long Wen was amused by him and said with a laugh, "Stop teasing me, Wendy. I'll treat you to a drink after I finish my mission."
“You said it yourself, I’ve got it in mind,” Wendy replied with a grin. “Then I wish you all the best and look forward to your good news.” With that, he waved and continued strolling along the path, humming an unknown tune.
Long Wen took a deep breath, suppressed his anxiety, and quickened his pace again.
Before long, a series of low roars could be faintly heard from ahead. Long Wen knew that the monster camp was approaching. He slowed his pace and cautiously approached, hiding behind a boulder and peering out. He saw that the monsters in the camp were enormous, with dark, shiny skin and taut muscles, as if they could tear everything apart at any moment. They paced back and forth, or roared to the sky, their breath carrying a putrid stench that permeated the area around the camp, making one want to vomit.
Long Wen's palms were sweaty, and he gripped the sword hilt so tightly that his knuckles turned white. His heart pounded violently in his chest, as if it would burst out of his chest. "Charging in like this would probably be the death of me... But the mission is right in front of me, and I can't back down." He gritted his teeth and tried to encourage himself.
Just as he hesitated, a sharp-eyed monster seemed to sense something was wrong. It turned its head sharply, its blood-red eyes locking onto Long Wen's hiding place, and let out a deafening roar. Immediately afterward, all the monsters were startled and surged towards him like a tide.
"Damn it!" Long Wen exclaimed. There was no way out now. He suddenly sprang out from behind the boulder, drew his sword, and charged towards the monsters.
First to strike was a colossal rock beast, its body as large as a hill. It swung its thick arms, creating a whooshing sound, and slammed them down towards Long Wen. Long Wen dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the attack; the impact created a large crater in the ground, sending debris flying. He seized the opportunity to swing his sword at the rock beast's leg, but only managed to leave a shallow white mark on its tough hide.
"So tough!" Long Wen was startled and quickly retreated. But the giant rock beast gave him no chance to catch his breath and attacked again. Long Wen dodged left and right, and for a moment he was in a sorry state, with several cuts on his body, torn clothes, and blood seeping out.
The monsters grew increasingly ferocious, their attacks as dense as raindrops. Long Wen gradually felt his strength waning; his stamina was rapidly depleting, and his breathing became rapid. Just as he was about to give up, he caught a glimpse of an open space in the distance. An idea struck him, and with all his might, he fought his way through the crowd towards the open space.
Once he had regained his footing, Long Wen, panting heavily, gripped his sword hilt, his eyes fixed on the approaching monsters. He knew he couldn't continue fighting like this; he had to think of something. Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind—he remembered his special ability to manipulate elements. Although he wasn't yet proficient, he had no other choice but to take this gamble.
He closed his eyes, concentrated, and tried to mobilize the wind and fire elements within his body. At first, the two elements clashed, running rampant within him and causing him immense pain. Veins bulged on Long Wen's forehead, and sweat poured down his face, yet he gritted his teeth and persevered.
The monsters wouldn't give him time and launched another charge. Just as the giant rock beast leaped high, preparing to deliver a fatal blow to Long Wen, Long Wen suddenly opened his eyes, his gaze blazing brightly. He waved his hands, and a whirlwind appeared out of thin air, carrying raging flames, instantly forming a massive firestorm that swept outwards from him.
Chapter Ninety-Two: Monster Slaying
Wherever the flames reached, the monsters let out shrill screams as their fur ignited and their flesh sizzled in the intense heat. The giant rock beast was the first to be engulfed in flames, its massive body instantly consumed by the fire. It struggled painfully in the storm, its once invincible strength now utterly useless.
Looking at the scene before him, Long Wen's face broke into a domineering smile. His hair was whipped about by the heat, his clothes fluttered in the wind, and he exuded a powerful aura. "Come on! Let's see if you're stronger, or if I, Long Wen, am stronger!" he roared, charging into the firestorm. He brandished his longsword, the wind whistling as he slashed down the monsters weakened by the flames.
As the last monster fell, the firestorm gradually subsided, leaving the camp deathly silent except for wisps of smoke. Long Wen, leaning on his sword, knelt on one knee, panting heavily. He was covered in wounds, but his eyes shone with the joy and pride of victory.
After a short rest, Longwen dragged his tired body back to the Adventurers' Guild, carrying the monster's loot.
The moment they stepped through the guild gates, the noisy crowd fell silent for a moment, then erupted in gasps. Ella Musk strode out from the crowd; tall and slender, she exuded confidence. Seeing Long Wen's numerous wounds, a hint of admiration flashed in her eyes.
"Wow, Longwen, you've really opened our eyes!" Ella walked up to Longwen (cedf), patted him heavily on the shoulder, and gave him a thumbs up. "This mission at the monster camp was no easy task. Not only did you complete it, but you also came back alive. That's impressive!"
Long Wen scratched his head somewhat embarrassedly, but couldn't hide the smile on his face. "It was just a lucky break. I almost didn't make it back."
The surrounding adventurers gathered around, their eyes filled with envy and admiration. "Longwen, your elemental manipulation skills are amazing! Teach us, please!" a young adventurer couldn't help but say.
"Yeah, yeah, we'll have to follow Brother Longwen from now on," the others chimed in.
Long Wen blushed slightly at the praise and was about to speak when the guild leader came down from upstairs. His gaze swept over everyone before finally settling on Long Wen, and he nodded slightly. "Long Wen, you performed exceptionally well this time and made a great contribution to the guild. This is the reward you deserve." With that, he handed over a heavy money bag and a brand-new dagger. The blade of the dagger gleamed coldly, clearly an extraordinary item.
Long Wen accepted the gift with both hands and bowed respectfully. "Thank you, Guild Master. I will definitely take on more missions in the future to bring glory to the guild."
The president smiled and waved his hand, "Take good care of your injury; you have a long road ahead."
Long Wen turned and greeted everyone, then found a seat amidst the crowd. Gazing at the dagger in his hand, his heart was filled with anticipation for the adventures to come. At this moment, he knew he had finally taken a solid step into this strange and fantastical continent of Teyvat, gaining recognition—and this was only the beginning…
The morning sun peeked through thin clouds, gently casting a soft golden glow on the stone streets of Mondstadt. Longwen took a deep breath, the fresh morning air filling his lungs and invigorating him. He stood at the entrance of the Adventurers' Guild, his eyes gleaming with the excitement and anticipation of a newcomer. Just yesterday, he had received the Adventurers' Guild's initial approval, a tremendous encouragement for a novice adventurer.
Chapter Ninety-Three: I Have a Task for You
"Hey, Longwen!" A cheerful female voice broke the morning's tranquility. Longwen turned to see Ella Musk striding towards him, her figure agile and her steps powerful, her short, neat hair swaying slightly with each step. As an adventurer and a member of the Adventurers' Guild, Ella exuded an aura of seasoned experience and charisma.
"Good morning, Sister Ella!" Long Wen greeted her with a smile, his eyes full of respect.
Ella walked up to Longwen, patted him on the shoulder, and laughed, "Kid, I have a mission for you. Dare to take it?"
Long Wen puffed out his chest and replied without hesitation, "Of course I dare, Sister Ella, just say the word!"
Ella nodded in satisfaction, took out a mission request form from her pocket, and handed it to Longwen: "Here's the thing, an important package got lost in transit, and the employer is in a hurry to find it. After the news spread throughout Mondstadt, many adventurers were looking for it, but so far there's been no clue. I think you're a clever kid, maybe you can find something. What do you say, are you confident?"
Long Wen took the letter of authorization, glanced at the information on it, and felt a surge of excitement. He nodded vigorously, "Don't worry, Sister Ella, I will do my best!"
After bidding farewell to Ella, Longwen, clutching the letter of commission, strode into the streets of Mondstadt. As he walked, he carefully observed his surroundings, not overlooking any corner that might hold clues. However, unbeknownst to him, several malicious gazes were already secretly watching him.
"Hey, look at that kid, just a greenhorn trying to find the lost package, overestimating himself." A burly adventurer whispered mockingly to his companion, his eyes full of contempt.
"That's right, we need to teach him a lesson. We can't let him steal the credit so easily." Another tall, thin adventurer chimed in, a sinister smile playing on his lips.
Following his own plan, Long Wen arrived at a bustling commercial street. He asked at each shop, but mostly received shakes of the head and perfunctory answers. Just as he was getting discouraged, a voice suddenly rang in his ear: "Hey, buddy, are you looking for that lost package? I have a clue, come with me."
Long Wen was overjoyed upon hearing this. He looked up and saw a short, shifty-eyed adventurer waving at him. Without thinking, Long Wen quickly followed. The short man led him through a maze of streets and alleys, but soon Long Wen realized something was wrong. The surroundings were becoming increasingly secluded, hardly resembling a clue.

"Hey, where are you taking me?" Long Wen stopped and questioned warily.
... . ....
The short adventurer's expression changed when he saw his plot exposed. He sneered, "Hmph, kid, this is competition, don't you understand? You'd better give up now. This package isn't something you can find." With that, he vanished around the corner.
Long Wen stomped his feet in anger, his heart filled with resentment: "These guys are despicable! They deliberately misled me and wasted my time." But his indomitable spirit rose within him, and he gritted his teeth, thinking to himself, "I refuse to believe it! I'll find that package and show them what I'm made of!" At this moment, the atmosphere around him seemed to become oppressive because of his anger. A gentle breeze blew by, rustling a few fallen leaves on the ground, as if they were protesting on his behalf.
Chapter Ninety-Four: Inventorying the Goods
Longwen readjusted his mind and continued searching for clues. After some thought, he decided to try his luck at Marjorie's general store. As the owner of a general store in Mondstadt, Marjorie was well-informed and might know something.
Stepping into the general store, one is greeted by a dazzling array of goods, the air thick with the subtle scent of spices. Marjorie stands behind the counter, inventorying the merchandise. She is graceful, beautiful, and her bright eyes reveal a shrewd and worldly wisdom.
"Hello, ma'am." Long Wen stepped forward and greeted her politely.
Marjorie glanced at him, saw a young, unfamiliar face, and asked in a casual tone, "Is there something you need?"
Long Wen quickly handed over the task request form and said, "Boss lady, I'm looking for a lost package. I've heard that you're well-informed, so I was wondering if you've heard of any clues?"
Marjorie took the letter of commission, glanced at it casually, and a slightly mocking smile appeared on her lips: "You? A novice adventurer, you think you can find this package? Even seasoned veterans can't handle this. I think you shouldn't waste your time." With that, she tossed the letter of commission back to Longwen.
Long Wen's heart tightened, and a hint of embarrassment flashed across his face, but he quickly regained his composure, his mind racing. Suddenly, he noticed a somewhat haphazardly arranged magical item on the shelf, and an idea struck him. He said, "Madam, there seems to be a problem with how you've arranged the magical items on this shelf. If you categorized them by their magical properties, it would not only save space and make it easier for customers to choose, but also..." As he spoke, Long Wen gently moved a few items, "...if you could also set up a small magical barrier, it would prevent different magical items from interfering with each other and extend their shelf life."
Marjorie's eyes flashed with surprise upon hearing this, and she re-examined Longwen. This young man, seemingly so, actually had quite a bit of insight into magical items. After hesitating for a moment, she finally spoke: "Hmph, you do have some skill. I did hear some rumors; supposedly, the package was last seen near the city gate before it disappeared, and someone spotted a suspicious figure heading towards Whispering Woods. However, I can't guarantee the truth of that information."
Long Wen was overjoyed and quickly thanked her, "Thank you so much, ma'am! The clue you provided is extremely important!" With that, he turned and hurried away from the general store... At this moment, the atmosphere inside the store was slightly awkward. Marjorie watched Long Wen's departing figure, lost in thought.
After leaving the general store, Long Wen hurried towards the Whispering Forest. Along the way, he felt both excited and apprehensive. Excited because he finally had a reliable lead, but apprehensive because he didn't know what unknown dangers he might encounter in the forest.
As they approached the Whispering Forest, Longwen slowed his pace, cautiously observing his surroundings. A thin mist hung in the air, the trees tall and dense, their intertwined branches blocking most of the sunlight, making the forest somewhat eerie. The occasional chirping of birds and the roars of unknown wild beasts added to the chilling atmosphere.
Long Wen cautiously stepped into the forest, the fallen leaves rustling softly beneath his feet. He activated his elemental power to level 3.5, his eyes gleaming slightly, using his unique elemental manipulation abilities to sense the anomalies around him. Suddenly, he detected a faint, enveloping aura, its direction pointing deep into the forest.
Just as he was about to delve deeper, a whooshing sound came from behind him. Long Wen instinctively dodged to the side, only to see a flash of cold light, and a dagger pierced the spot where he had just been standing.
Chapter Ninety-Five: It's Not That Easy!
"Hmph, kid, you think you can keep all the clues for yourself? Not so easy!" a vicious voice rang out. Long Wen looked closely and saw that it was the burly adventurer he had seen in the city before. Now, his face was contorted with rage, and he gripped a dagger tightly in his hand, lunging at Long Wen once more.
Long Wen was startled, but quickly calmed down. He dodged the attack by sidestepping, while simultaneously gathering elemental power in his hands and shouting, "Wind Blade!" A sharp wind blade whistled out and slashed towards the burly adventurer.
Seeing this, the burly adventurer hurriedly used his dagger to block, but was still forced back several steps by the impact of the wind blade. "Yo, you've got some skill, kid!" he roared, and pounced again.
Long Wen moved nimbly through the forest, dodging attacks while searching for an opportunity to counterattack. He knew his combat experience was inferior to his opponent's and that he couldn't fight head-on; he could only rely on his agility and elemental manipulation skills to outmaneuver him.
After a few moves, Long Wen spotted an opening, suddenly gathered all his elemental power, and shouted, "Wind Sweeps Away the Clouds!" A powerful whirlwind formed in his hand and swept towards the burly adventurer.
The burly adventurer, unable to dodge in time, was caught in the whirlwind and let out a scream. When the whirlwind dissipated, he was covered in dust and looked utterly disheveled. "You...you just wait!" he shouted, before staggering away from the forest.
Long Wen, panting heavily, wiped the sweat from his brow. The battle, though brief, had drained him of considerable strength. But now, the enveloping aura grew even stronger, and he forced himself to endure his fatigue and continue deeper into the depths.
As they ventured deeper into the forest, the fog thickened, reducing visibility to almost nothing. Long Wen had to be even more cautious, using his elemental power to probe for traps before each step. Suddenly, his elemental senses detected an unusually strong signal in a hidden corner not far ahead.
Long Wen was overjoyed and quickened his pace. Pushing aside the dense bushes, a tattered but intact package appeared before him. He excitedly reached out and picked it up; it felt heavy in his hand, and he was filled with a sense of accomplishment.
"Finally found it!" Long Wen couldn't help but cheer. At this moment, the mist in the forest seemed to gradually dissipate because of his joy, and the sunlight shone through the gaps in the branches and leaves, shining on him as if draping him in a layer of golden light.
Longwen returned to Mondstadt with the package and went straight to Marjorie's general store. Marjorie was surprised and impressed that he had actually found the package.
"Boss lady, I've found the package, I'm glad I did." Long Wen smiled and handed over the package.
Marjorie took the package, examined it carefully, and then nodded with satisfaction: "Not bad, kid, I didn't expect you to be so capable. Here's your reward. 617." As she spoke, she took a heavy bag of Mora from under the counter and handed it to Longwen.
Long Wen accepted the reward, overjoyed. Marjorie then smiled and said, "If there are any more missions in the future, I'll give you priority. You're a promising young man."
