"No wonder you packed your bags early and waited for me. You seemed to have already guessed how we would resolve your predicament, didn't you?"

Chu Yang pondered for a moment and said, "Maybe you can sponsor part of my tuition in advance so I can go to school and study, and then let me do some auxiliary work at school, part-time work and part-time study, right?"

"Working while studying?" Sprout looked at Chu Yang in surprise and nodded repeatedly. "That's a very apt term. We do intend for you to do something at school. Getting something for nothing is not a value advocated by Hogwarts."

Seemingly worried that Chu Yang might feel pressured, Sprout explained further, "The school won't assign you anything beyond your capabilities. At most, you could help me manage the herb garden, or, after you've become familiar with potions, assist Professor Snape, who teaches Potions..."

When Chu Yang heard that he was to help Snape, he was reluctant, but he still said with a forced smile, "Professor Sprout, I will do these tasks carefully."

“Of course,” Sprout said loudly.

He then bent down and patted Chu Yang's head, "Wait here for a moment. I need to go and explain the situation to the dean who is taking care of you, so as to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings."

After saying that, Sprout walked straight to the orphanage.

He took out his wand and gently waved it towards the side door, "Open Alohomora!"

Unlocking spell!

With a click, the side door slowly opened, and Sprout, head held high and chest puffed out, walked in like a proud swan under Chu Yang's "admiring" gaze.

Chu Yang clicked his tongue and said, "The reason I sneaked out is because Dean Anna is a bit difficult to talk to. The old nun is not an ordinary stubborn person. I hope Professor Sprout won't be seen as some kind of weirdo..."

Not long after, Professor Sprout emerged from inside looking disheveled, her hands still clutching her head, protecting her patched-up pointed hat.

"Do nuns in the Muggle world like to sleep with brooms in their arms?" Sprout complained. "I hadn't even had a chance to cast a spell before she swept me out the door with her broom."

Chu Yang said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Professor, I should have reminded you that Dean Anna is a little too wary in order to protect the children at the orphanage."

Sprout sighed. "I understand. I felt the same way about protecting my student. Although the process was a bit complicated, I explained it to her and she can go to Hogwarts with me without worry."

Chu Yang, feigning ignorance, asked excitedly, "Shall we go now?"

Sprout pressed his hands down slightly, signaling Chu Yang not to be so excited. "It's already very late. We need to stay at the Leaky Cauldron for the night, and tomorrow we'll go to Diagon Alley to help you get the things you need for school."

Chu Yang blinked and asked, "Is it what's written on the admission notice?"

"Close your eyes, you might feel a little uncomfortable." Sprout nodded, then took Chu Yang's hand, preparing to use [Apparition]!

In an instant, Chu Yang felt the surge of magic power, and a powerful pressure was squeezing his body.

Immediately afterwards, he felt as if he had been put into a can and was being shaken up, down, left, and right at will.

Fortunately, Chu Yang possessed an extremely resilient physique and extraordinary mental strength, and upon reaching his destination, he did not exhibit any discomfort.

"Few people can remain so calm after their first encounter with Apparition. You possess outstanding talent and mental fortitude, Mr. Chu Yang."

Sprout, who had witnessed Chu Yang's performance, did not hold back her praise. Although they had not spent much time together, she was deeply impressed by the boy.

Having a maturity and rationality beyond one's years is a necessary condition for becoming a great wizard.

"Where am I?" Chu Yang looked around.

I found myself on a quiet street, and since it was late, there were hardly any passersby around.

“Charlin Cross Street! That’s the Leaky Cauldron I was talking about across the street.” Sprout pointed to a very old-fashioned shop across the street, its dusty wooden door standing out so out of place with its surroundings.

Occasionally, someone will pass by without noticing the sign, as if they didn't see it at all.

"This place is under a spell. Muggles...ordinary people can't see the Leaky Cauldron, and neither can Hogwarts," Sprout explained as he led Chu Yang into the pub.

The visibility in the bar was also poor.

Just as bright as the outside, only a few scattered candles were steadfastly shining their light.

An elderly man stood behind the bar and nodded to Sprout, saying, "Hello, Professor Sprout."

"Hello, Mr. Tom." Sprout led Chu Yang to the vicinity of the bar.

Chu Yang's gaze lingered on the moving newspapers, spoons, and the rag in front of Mr. Tom that cleaned itself.

Although Chu Yang was mentally prepared, he was still amazed by the wonder of the magical world after seeing it with his own eyes.

"Haha, is this a newly enrolled little wizard?" Old Tom smiled knowingly when he saw Chu Yang's curious expression.

"Yes, Mr. Tom," Chu Yang greeted him with a smile.

Old Tom advised, "It's the start of the school year, and there are many freshmen like you living in the Leaky Cauldron. If you meet them in the lobby, you might as well make friends beforehand. You know, no matter where you are, it's never a bad thing to have many friends."

Chu Yang replied gratefully, "Thank you for your advice, Mr. Tom."

"Alright, Mr. Tom, that's enough chit-chat. I need to take this child upstairs to rest; he has a lot of things to do tomorrow!" Sprout took the two keys from old Tom and then led Chu Yang upstairs.

In the dead of night, Chu Yang, filled with excitement and curiosity about the magical world, fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, a heavy knocking sound woke Chu Yang from his bed.

"Chu Yang, we should go out now, get up quickly." Sprout's voice rang out from outside the door, loud as a bell, even more deafening than an alarm clock.

"Okay, Professor Sprout, I'll get up right away!" Chu Yang quickly got dressed and was about to brush his teeth when he suddenly realized that he had forgotten to bring toothpaste and a toothbrush.

"Why do I always forget to bring toiletries when I go out? I can't seem to break this habit from my past life!" Chu Yang looked at himself in the mirror speechlessly. After packing his things, he opened the door and met up with Professor Sprout.

"Haha, messy hair! You'd better watch your appearance when you go out, Chu Yang!" Sprout waved his wand and tidied up Chu Yang's messy hair.

"You didn't give me time to organize it, Professor," Chu Yang shrugged, offering an innocent defense.

"Hurry downstairs for breakfast, we have a lot to buy today." Sprout turned and went downstairs, his heavy body making a teeth-grinding sound on the wooden stairs.

Chu Yang followed behind her, keeping a certain distance, afraid that she might accidentally break the stairs.

Bread, jam, milk, and sausage—a classic four-piece set.

The breakfast provided by the Broken Cauldron Bar wasn't particularly delicious; it was barely enough to fill one's stomach. However, Chu Yang still ate every last grain of food from his bowl.

Children from orphanages never waste food.

After finishing their meal, the two left through the back door of the Leaky Cauldron. After walking a few steps, they were stopped by a wall. Chu Yang was a little excited, knowing that the other side of the wall was Diagon Alley, symbolizing the real magical world.

“Take the third brick above the trash can, then count two bricks to the side, remember that, and knock three times. The passage to Diagon Alley will open.”

Sprout took out his wand and tapped the bricks three times. The wall in front of him seemed to come alive, flipping back and forth, and a mysterious world unfolded before Chu Yang.

Sprout led the way at the front.

Then he introduced everything about the alley to Chu Yang.

"Besides the back entrance of the Leaky Cauldron, there are two other ways to get to Diagon Alley: one is the Apparition I used earlier, and the other is Floo Powder."

"However, the spell of Apparition requires a very high level of skill, and it is difficult for ordinary wizards to master. Generally, only professor-level wizards like myself can cast it with ease."

"The method of using Floo Powder is relatively simple, and the price is not expensive. One spoonful costs two silver shiko, making it the first choice for many wizarding families."

Sprout pointed to the fireplaces on both sides of the street and explained, "Floo Powder only works on fireplaces connected to the Floo Network. It's very simple to use: just take a handful of Floo Powder, stand inside the fireplace, clearly say the name of the place, and then sprinkle Floo Powder on it."

At this point, Sprout suddenly turned around, looked at Chu Yang seriously, and said, "Remember, when you say place names, you must pronounce them clearly, otherwise, the consequences will be severe, understand?"

Chu Yang replied, "Say the wrong name and it will teleport you to a strange place, right?"

“Not only that, some people have been teleported into walls and died on the spot just because they mispronounced a place name,” Sprout sighed. “I don’t want to see your name on the accidental death list, Chu Yang.”

Upon hearing this, Chu Yang nodded silently.

Afterwards, Sprout took Chu Yang to a robe shop and had three robes, pointed hats, protective gloves, and winter cloaks made for Chu Yang.

There's also the cauldron needed for Potions class. Pet Chu Yang chose an owl, and that was all he could do. Who in their right mind would choose a toad or a mouse?

This is something Sprout does every year; he's very familiar with it and has prepared most of the necessary supplies in the blink of an eye.

All expenses were covered by Hogwarts.

Now all that's left is the magic wand!

Sprout and Chu Yang arrived at a wand shop that looked very old.

Ollivander!

“Welcome, Professor Sprout! Chestnut wood, unicorn hair, ten and two-thirds inches long. You look travel-worn; where have you been?”

An old man with the same hairstyle as Einstein came down the slide and finally managed to get past the piles of wand boxes to Sprout.

Sprout replied with a smile, "Hello, Mr. Ollivander, your memory is as excellent as ever."

“Of course, I remember every wand I’ve sold and its owner.” Ollivander proudly raised his head, then glanced at Chu Yang. “Is this young wizard here to buy a wand?”

Sprout explained, "He is a freshman at Hogwarts this year."

“Congratulations on entering Hogwarts, the best school in the world. Believe me, you have a bright future ahead of you!” Ollivander blinked, then waved his wand and said, “Let me take your measurements first. Please don’t move around.”

Subsequently, a set of measuring tools, under the control of Ollivander's magic, began to move across the surface of Chu Yang's body.

To be honest, Chu Yang didn't understand what the choice of a magic wand had to do with the physical fitness test. They even had to measure the distance between the eyes and nose.

“Every wand is unique. Its characteristics depend on the tree from which the wand’s wood comes from and the magical creature’s properties in the core. In addition, once each wand finds its ideal owner, it begins to impart its own characteristics and learn the wielder’s traits.”

"Wands and users complement each other. Wands made of the same material will grow into wands with completely different characteristics after encountering completely different masters."

As they were talking, Ollivander had already finished measuring Chu Yang and started looking for a suitable wand for him.

Which hand is your dominant hand?

"Right hand!"
