……

Perhaps because she had been drinking last time and Gu Qing was worried, Su Xiyue didn't smell of alcohol this time.

Instead of going home immediately, the two strolled along the street.

Gu Qing could clearly sense that the girl beside him had something on her mind.

But he didn't intend to ask further, only occasionally giving her a worried look.

Su Xiyue only stopped on the bridge when the shy moon peeked out from behind the clouds at dusk.

Immediately, she looked at the rushing river below the bridge, remained silent for a moment, and then suddenly spoke:

"Gu Qing."

"I'm here."

"I like you."

"I know."

This is not a confession.

"I know."

"I'm just trying to cheer myself up."

"I know."

"I'm not good enough for you right now."

"Perhaps."

"Then can you tell me your thoughts?"

Only then did the girl dare to turn her head and look at the boy.

The river breeze ruffled their hair; the boy's face was exquisitely beautiful, and the girl's face was flushed.

"If pursuing me can motivate you to improve, then go ahead and do it."

The boy's voice was as clear as ever, but the faintly visible upturned corners of his eyes carried a captivating allure.

It's like an abyss from which one can drown, with no bottom in sight.

"But if you get hurt emotionally, I won't pity you for it!"

Under the moonlight, on the bridge, the young man's voice was as clear as snow, beautiful yet cold.

But the girl saw a fragility akin to melting snow.

Volume One: Life is Hot Because of You - The End

This ending method was considered for a long time.

The previous writing style was to tell the story clearly and plainly.

However, when it came to the ending, several attempts were made, but each time it became too long, causing the atmosphere to feel somewhat disjointed.

Ultimately, a lot of subtractions were made (I'm heartbroken about the two thousand words that were deleted!), and the result is the balanced version that everyone sees now.

I wouldn't say I'm satisfied; I can only say that the author's writing skills have reached this point.

……

Regarding Gu Qing:

The author is quite satisfied with the portrayal of Gu Qing in the nearly 13 words of the first volume.

This is the first time the author has tried to devote so much attention to the main character, even neglecting the female lead and other supporting characters.

Fortunately, the response has been quite positive so far, and at least Gu Qing has begun to establish himself.

As for why it's described as "initially," it's because Gu Qing is currently more like an observer, a god high above, looking down from a higher dimension.

His maturity, his wisdom, and his worldly wisdom make him seem out of place with the theme of youth in the first volume.

Perhaps the only person he could have a normal conversation with in the entire first volume was the female lead's mother, Su Changqin.

In the next volume, this lofty deity will face our challenger, namely the female protagonist of this book.

Gu Qing, this time traveler, is like Okabe Rintaro from Steins;Gate, who has traveled through too many world lines but can't find his own existence.

He needs an anchor point to ultimately establish the existence of the world and himself.

……

About Su Xiyue:

Due to the author's lack of skill and the excessive focus on the protagonist, the character Su Xiyue failed to leave as much of an impression as the protagonist.

But the deeper reason is that before finishing the first volume, the author had no idea what kind of female protagonist to portray!

At this age, Su Xiyue is not like Gu Qing in her second playthrough; she has not yet developed a mature and stable set of values, which is one of the reasons why the author has hesitated to begin writing.

As for his occasional "perverted" behavior, it is actually quite normal and reasonable within the framework of a matriarchal worldview.

Everyone will understand once they put themselves in that situation.

At least when the author was writing, Gu Qing was a god in the author's mind, while the author himself was adopting Su Xiyue's perspective.

In the next volume, the university arc, the author will gradually establish the character of Su Xiyue.

……

Regarding other characters:

As you may have noticed, the author rarely includes characters with names.

Even the homeroom teacher only called him "Old Yang".

The author is very careful about adding named characters, because once they are added, more detailed settings and character biographies need to be made.

Furthermore, these named characters will undergo their own changes and growth as the story progresses.

Of course, the names that appear in Chapter 59 don't count!

In the next volume, even more major supporting characters will appear.

Although nothing has been decided yet, it is certain that the author will use the "catfish effect" to accelerate the development of the relationship between men and women.

Don't worry, there won't be any malicious poisoning or factional infighting involved!

After all, the author is a staunch advocate of 1V1 pure love where both partners are virgins, and rejects any form of infidelity!

Please rest assured.

……

Regarding the next volume:

Let's start with a few keywords: university, career, cohabitation, sweet moments, and bittersweet feelings!

The university section will be the most important and dominant section of this book.

Almost everything about the protagonist Gu Qing's past and present life, as well as Su Xiyue's growth and challenges, is contained in this volume.

It may also be several times longer than the first volume.

In fact, the author wrote the first volume somewhat slowly, which made the later parts seem a bit rushed. This was the author's mistake, and I apologize for it.

In conclusion, this volume will be the most important part of the book, and also the most difficult part to write.

It involves a series of complex things such as growth, turning points, distance, ethics, and values.

To be honest, the author was also a little apprehensive, but could only do his best.

I hope everyone can give the author more encouragement.

……

About the author:

I'm definitely not a newbie; I'll save the more detailed comments for the product launch.

All I can say here is that this is actually my first time writing a pure love story, and even more so, my first time writing a romantic relationship between a man and a woman.

In addition, I dislike industrial saccharin, so I wrote it according to my own vision.

Please bear with me.
