The Unorthodox Tomb Raider

Chapter Forty: The Soul-Hooking Path, the Great Evil Buddha!

The passage was long and spiraled downwards. It took the four of them about two or three minutes to reach the end of the passage.

At the end, there is a well opening that slopes steeply downwards.

Looking down into the well, one could see a hard stone floor, with faint flickering firelight inside.

Partridge Whistle threw a few stones onto the brick surface, and after seeing that there was nothing unusual around him, he slowly walked down the well.

Soon, the group of four arrived at the bottom of the well.

At this moment, what everyone saw before them was a grand hall.

In the center of this grand hall sits a stone Buddha. Around the hall stand thirty-six load-bearing stone pillars, and between each pillar is a lamp that burns eternally.

The well behind is the entrance, and there are also passages on the walls on both sides and on the wall directly behind the stone Buddha.

The passageways on both sides seem to lead to the side chambers of the main hall, but the passageway behind the stone Buddha is different. It looks deep and long, and you can vaguely see a huge Buddha head by looking along the passageway.

Upon entering the side chambers on either side, there was nothing there except some Buddha statues.

So the four of them turned their attention to the passageway directly in front of them.

Take a couple of steps and you'll step into the passage; the view before you will instantly become clear.

At the end of this narrow passage, a huge reclining Buddha head suddenly comes into view.

Upon seeing the reclining Buddha, Fang Yun breathed a sigh of relief, realizing he hadn't come to the wrong place.

Since that's correct, then this passage isn't an ordinary passage, but a soul-snatching passage!

If you smell carefully, you can also smell a strange stench emanating from the passage.

"Damn, it's the Corpse-Scented Devil's Flower..."
