How could Harry Potter sense something from such a distance?
Michael had a vague feeling that something was wrong. He looked at the person next to him and saw that Wade didn't seem to notice the subtle timing; instead, he was looking at Ron Weasley next to him.
“That’s because you spent an hour explaining tactics…” Fred told Wood.
Wood frowned, just about to speak.
George suddenly covered Fred's mouth, chuckling, "I just remembered, we have detention today. If we don't go, Hagrid is definitely going to get angry..."
"You've been put in solitary confinement again?" Wood asked.
"Yes, we only took a stroll around the Forbidden Forest, and our hunting ground guards caught us..."
Fred pulled George's hand away and shrugged.
"He felt we should be taught a lesson that would have a strong flavor..."
"You can't use magic to clean the pigsty..."
"Now that Harry is awake, we'll take our leave..."
The twins spoke as they backed away, disappearing from Wood's sight in the blink of an eye.
Clearly, in their eyes, Wood's nagging was worse than cleaning the pigsty.
Angelina burst out laughing.
Chapter 137 Michael's Revenge
The Weasley twins' punishment this time was clearly not as easy as they appeared.
On Tuesday afternoon, when Wade and his friends left after their herbalism class, they saw the twins cleaning the pigpen.
The two men wore scarves as face masks and used shovels and brooms to clean up the pigsty's manure, with two large buckets of water nearby.
As Wade passed by, he saw the twin brother, Percy, standing outside the pigpen. The two seemed to be arguing, and Percy looked very upset.
Percy's pale face turned bright red when he saw the second-year wizards watching from a distance.
He angrily said something to his brothers, then stomped away.
The twins shrugged and continued working, not paying much attention.
The Slytherins chuckled and whispered, "Look... it really is the stinky Weasley, he reeks of pig manure..."
Wade thought it was Malfoy speaking again, but when he looked up, he saw Malfoy walking alone towards the castle with his head down.
His two henchmen, Crabbe and Goyle, walked with the other Slytherin students, seemingly oblivious to Malfoy's departure.
“Wade, I’ll go to the Umbrella House later.”
As Michael spoke, he slung his backpack over his shoulder and naturally blended into the group of Slytherin students, soon making the girls giggle.
Crabbe and Gore stood at the edge of the circle, looking like they really wanted to join in.
Wade glanced to the side and saw Padma walking calmly to the side, seemingly oblivious to Michael's intimate conversation with the Slytherin girl.
What are these two doing?
Wade was puzzled, so he simply asked directly.
“Don’t tell anyone,” Padma pulled him aside and whispered, “Michael is getting revenge on Malfoy!”
"Revenge... Malfoy?"
Wade was surprised.
Malfoy had humiliated Michael last time and was punished with confinement, forcing him to work under Filch, the most hated student in the entire school. He thought that matter was over.
But for Michael, it's clearly not yet.
“You know, Michael and Slytherin got along quite well.”
Padma whispered, "He said he would dismantle Malfoy's little gang and prevent him from ever swaggering around like before."
“…How do you dismantle it?” Wade countered. “Isn’t Michael afraid that his intentions will be exposed? Slytherins are known for their vindictiveness.”
“He’s not afraid at all!” Padma said. “He’s not spreading rumors to make them misunderstand Malfoy or suspect each other; he’s just pointing out the facts.”
Seeing Wade's suspicious look, Padma added two more sentences:
"Uh... they also made a slight use of the art of language, tapping into some of their own inner emotions, such as jealousy, inferiority, vanity, anger, and so on..."
“You know, some things… if you phrase them slightly differently, can make people feel uncomfortable and then cause conflict…”
"Haven't you noticed that Crabbe and Goyle haven't been following Malfoy around these past few days?"
"They used to be quite happy as his lackeys, but recently... they suddenly realized that Malfoy had always looked down on them, and decided to become people with dignity..."
What an amazing development!
Wade was amazed.
He couldn't help but gossip: "I remember, their father was also one of Mr. Malfoy's henchmen, wasn't he?"
"yes……"
Padma's eyes flickered.
“But Crabbe and Goyle now think that the Malfoys are past their prime, nothing special except for having some money, and that they were even raided by Ron Weasley’s father this summer for dark magic items.”
"So Draco Malfoy has no right to always order them around... They're all students, and they're even taller and stronger than Malfoy..."
"As long as they don't constantly follow Malfoy around like bodyguards, girls will see their bravery and strength and be willing to talk to them, or even smile at them..."
Wade looked towards the courtyard.
Under Michael's guidance, some girls did smile at the two big guys, but it was unclear whether they were mocking or polite smiles.
Crabbe and Gore, their faces flushed with excitement, stammered something, which made everyone burst into laughter.
Wade muttered to himself, "I really want to know... how Michael brainwashed them... did he say a ton of bad things about Malfoy?"
Padma covered her mouth and smiled, a sly glint in her eyes.
"No...he has never spoken ill of Malfoy in public...he has always spoken well of Malfoy!"
……
Padma returned to the castle with her roommates, and Wade stopped paying attention to Michael's revenge game.
If he had provoked Wade, Wade would have fought back on the spot, and that would have been the end of it.
However, he insulted Michael, who didn't say anything at the time, but his subsequent retaliation was subtle yet relentless.
Malfoy had insulted and bullied others more than once or twice, and he probably never imagined that Michael, an ordinary student who was neither pure-blooded nor had any family background, would be such an untouchable thorn in his side.
He was ostracized by the Slytherin students, but he probably still doesn't know why he was ostracized.
Wade turned and walked towards the pigsty.
The Weasley twins finally finished cleaning up the pig manure, and Fred was spraying cleaning agent on the pigpen while George was scrubbing behind them with a large brush.
As soon as Vader approached, he smelled a strong odor. He quickly cast a head-soaking spell on himself to block out the foul air.
"Hey, Wade!"
Fred pointed to his head: "Give us one too! Otherwise, I doubt we'll be able to eat dinner tonight!"
George made a gagging gesture from behind.
Soon, a large, spherical bubble appeared above each of their heads, as if they had stuffed their heads into a soap bubble.
"Thank you, Merlin! I can finally catch my breath!" George breathed a sigh of relief.
Fred corrected him: "You should say thank you, Wade."
“Of course!” George bowed exaggeratedly. “Thank you, Wade. You saved two poor swineherds!”
"You guys seem to have been punished pretty severely this time?" Wade asked.
“Yes,” Fred said smugly, “because we sneaked into the Forbidden Forest on Friday night…”
“You know, there’s a big guy in the Forbidden Forest that we’ve always wanted to get to know…” George said.
"You mean fire dragons?" Vader asked.
The students all know that a fire dragon appeared at the school last academic year and was kept at the Quidditch pitch for several weeks.
When it was old enough to hunt on its own, Hogwarts found a place for it in the Forbidden Forest and cast a spell to prevent the dragon from entering the school and harming the students.
At the opening banquet, Dumbledore also reminded students that they were not allowed to enter the Forbidden Forest.
In the students' legends, it was a terrifying place inhabited by vampires, werewolves, and fire dragons.
The Weasley twins were clearly not the kind of students who would obediently follow orders.
Chapter Two will be later.
Chapter 138 The Marauder’s Map
The Weasley twins sneaked into the Forbidden Forest, hoping to get up close and personal with the dragon.
According to them, they wanted to get the scales dropped by the fire dragon, or even dragon dung.
