Wade looked at the green seedlings with purple hues and felt a little tempted.

Mandrake is a powerful restorative agent; in the original storyline, it even restored ghosts petrified by the Basilisk to their original state.

At the same time, mandrake is also an essential material for practicing advanced transfiguration—the Animagus.

Repotting mandrakes is not easy because their roots are like ugly babies that struggle and scream when you dig them out; hearing their cries can make you faint for hours.

If it's a mature mandrake, its crying can even be fatal.

Wearing earmuffs, Wade dug a hole in the large flowerpot beforehand, then quickly pulled out a mandrake seedling and stuffed it in, while Michael swiftly filled it with soil.

The baby with leaves growing on its head was buried in the ground before it could even stretch out its arms.

They are very efficient.

After planting the third seedling, Michael looked up and saw that many students were still struggling with the first mandragora doll.

The light green doll twisted and turned vigorously in their hands, kicking its arms and legs wildly, and even slapping with its little fists.

The students were like carrying a big, wriggling rat, afraid to let it get close but also afraid to let go. Three or four of them were working up a sweat.

Especially Malfoy's group.

Crabbe and Goyle were always much clumsier than others; the two of them couldn't hold down a seedling for half a day and almost let it tear off its earmuffs.

Malfoy was so angry that he started yelling, but everyone was wearing earmuffs, so no one could hear what he was saying.

Michael gave a mocking smile.

……

In order to complete all the transplanting, the get out of class ended more than ten minutes later than usual.

When the students left exhausted, Professor Sprout asked Malfoy and Wade to stay behind.

“Mr. Malfoy, your confinement will begin at nine o’clock this afternoon. Go to the foyer and find Mr. Filch; he will tell you what to do.”

Professor Sprout said.

Malfoy glared at Wade and turned to leave.

“Mr. Gray.” Looking at Wade, Professor Sprout’s expression softened considerably: “I am very satisfied with your performance in class today.”

“Thank you, Professor,” Wade said softly.

Professor Sprout smiled and asked gently, "You have now mastered the Silent Spell?"

It wasn't that she wanted to discriminate, but in this witch's eyes, the Slytherin students had often shown Wade malicious expressions since the beginning of the semester.

As for the reason... do I even need to explain?

Slytherin never needs a reason to target children born into non-magical families.

She was certain that there had been a serious and direct conflict between the two sides.

The professors at the school all know that one day last year, several first-year Slytherin students went to the infirmary crying.

Since then, the conflict between the two sides has eased... but Malfoy still seems to hold a grudge.

Even disregarding the difference in academies, just looking at their attitudes, the witch unconsciously leans towards Vader's side.

“Silent spells are quite difficult, and I currently only have a small number of spells that I can barely use as silent spells.”

"I'm being modest," Wade said, then waved his wand.

The earmuffs and shovels that the students had carelessly left on the shelves flew up and landed neatly back in their proper places, and the dust and manure on the ground disappeared.

So smooth and natural, without the slightest hint of "forced"ness.

“Excessive modesty is arrogance, Mr. Gray.”

Professor Sprout chuckled, “A beautiful silent spell, I’ll add ten points to that. And… well… your confinement will also begin at nine o’clock tonight, in the second greenhouse.”

“Yes, Professor,” Wade replied.

The two understood each other implicitly; it was less a form of confinement and more a case of the professor giving him extra tutoring.

As they left the greenhouse together, Wade asked again, "Professor, after these mandrakes have grown up, may I request a leaf?"

"Leaf?" Professor Sprout realized. "You want to practice Animagus?"

“Yes.” Wade did not hide anything.

"This is a very advanced form of transformation."

Professor Sprout remarked with emotion:

"Minerva is certainly very pleased with your Transfiguration grades, but she probably won't approve of you practicing Animagus at this age?"

"Actually, I have a very good tutor."

Wade smiled and said, "Could you please keep this a secret for now, Professor? The preparation time for Animagus is very long... I don't want others to know until I'm sure of success."

Some people can prepare for their Animagus for years, so it's not surprising that he started now and didn't succeed until sixth or seventh grade.

Therefore, Professor Sprout generously said, "Of course. But you must promise me that the final step of this magic must be carried out under the supervision of a teacher."

“Yes, I won’t be reckless,” Wade said earnestly.

He hoped to master the magic that transformed him from a human into an animal, but instead he became an ignorant animal in the first place.

Chapter 128 Soft Light Badge

Stepping out of the greenhouse and assessing the distance to the castle, Vader decisively raised his wand:

"Here comes the broom!"

A flying broomstick flew through the window of the Ravenclaw Tower, arced through the air, and came to a steady stop beside Vader.

He mounted his broom and skillfully flew back to his dormitory.

Wade had previously thought that if he were to buy a broom, he would definitely buy a new one that hadn't been used by anyone else.

Just like when he buys a car, he doesn't want a used car.

But ever since the three house-elves happily gifted him the flying broom, Vader has changed his mind.

So what if you swept 140?

He doesn't participate in Quidditch matches. As a temporary means of transportation, an old broom can serve the same function as a new one.

This broom carries an incredibly sincere sentiment. It is far more precious than any competition broom that cost thousands of Galleons.

Furthermore, after Vader acquired it, he modified the magic attached to the broom several times. Although the broom isn't as fast as the Nimbus series, its stability and comfort are by no means inferior.

Wade returned to his dormitory and took a quick shower. The bell had already rung inside the castle. He changed into clean clothes and went to the auditorium, where many students were already having lunch.

Wade casually picked an empty seat and sat down. He had just forked himself a piece of steak and some toast when Michael sat down next to him, as usual.

Wade glanced at him in surprise.

Michael raised an eyebrow: "What's wrong?"

He reached for a syrup pie and then picked through several kinds of roasted meats.

Wade lowered his eyes and smiled, "After what people said to me today, I thought you would distance yourself from me."

Michael clicked his tongue.

“Why would I push my friend away because of what an enemy says?” He wagged his finger. “If I were that easily swayed, I would have separated from you in Herbalism class.”

"Right."

Wade nodded, his lingering worries dispelled.

Michael glanced at the Slytherin table.

Malfoy was still in a very bad mood. He didn't eat much, and seemed to have gotten into a conflict with the person next to him. He pushed his plate aside and strode out of the Great Hall.

Crabbe and Goyle seemed to want to catch up, but looking at the food on the long table, they ultimately stayed behind.

Michael squinted.

Bad ideas bubbled up in Michael's mind like bubbles.

Suddenly, a beautiful girl walked past him, her reddish-gold curly hair seemed to glow, and Michael's gaze was unconsciously drawn to her.

Someone nearby snorted loudly, walked past Michael, and bumped into him so hard that he almost fell into the plate.

Michael was about to get angry when he realized that the person who bumped into him was Padma.

The girl glared at him condescendingly, her gaze sharp as knives. Michael immediately looked away and gave her a fawning smile.

"Have you eaten, Padma?"

Padma snorted again, then turned and walked away with her roommates.

Michael awkwardly touched his nose.

After Padma left, he unconsciously looked at the girl from before and was surprised to find that it was actually Marietta, a third-year student.

A girl whose appearance was not particularly outstanding in the past.

But after just one summer vacation, she became exceptionally beautiful and dazzling.

"Girls can change so suddenly..." Michael said with a touch of emotion.
