He finally understood what "skin as white as ice and bones as jade" meant, and he also understood why there was a saying in this world that people liked feet. He was probably one of those people now.
At this moment, these two delicate feet are the most beautiful work of art in the world.
Bai Suzhen's ankles are slender; look closely, or gently grasp them.
Look for her slender bones, or pinch her fingertips to feel their crystalline quality, or playfully tickle the soles of her feet.
Bai Suzhen couldn't help but twist her feet, occasionally letting out a soft gasp from her mouth, but she no longer made him let go.
At this moment, she felt completely different and collapsed in front of Li Xiuyuan.
Just as the two were about to continue their conversation, someone suddenly flew over from the sky.
A golden light appeared, followed by a fierce shout: "Demon, come out now! Today I will surely suppress you in Leifeng Pagoda!"
Suddenly, a monk appeared in the air, wearing a large checkered red robe, with snow-white eyebrows, white temples, and an angry expression.
Ah!
Damn.
Upon hearing this, Li Xiuyuan couldn't help but curse. Anyone whose good time was interrupted would be in a bad mood!
Not to mention Li Xiuyuan, who said, "Suzhen, hurry up and put on your shoes, the enemy is coming."
Having said that, he had already flown away. When he saw Fahai's angry face, he knew in his heart that this person was Fahai from Jinshan Temple.
However, I don't know why this scene appeared here. I remember that this scene was not in the original novel. Now that I have met Bai Suzhen ahead of time, the two of us are bound to have a fight.
Bai Suzhen, needless to say, was originally going to give the shoes to Li Xiuyuan, but she was suddenly disturbed. How could she be in a good mood? She put on the shoes with her jade hands and then flew out.
In the blink of an eye, Bai Suzhen saw the old monk Fahai and exclaimed in surprise, "It's you?"
To tell the story of her feud with Fahai, we have to go back more than a thousand years. At that time, Bai Suzhen was just a small snake. Suddenly, she encountered an old snake catcher (note: Fahai's previous life). In an unexpected turn of events, the white snake was rescued by the shepherd boy Xu Xian.
Later, the White Snake accidentally stole the six elixir pills that Heaven had bestowed upon the monk Fahai, causing him to lose 600 years of cultivation. From then on, the two formed an irreconcilable hatred.
This time, Bai Suzhen encountered Fahai again, and naturally, she was deeply impressed.
"Demon, do you remember this humble monk?"
Fahai held the golden alms bowl in his right hand and stared coldly at Bai Suzhen.
Bai Suzhen smiled and said, "Of course I remember. The grudges from a thousand years ago should be settled here."
The two had a deep-seated grudge. In the original story, Fahai, in order to avenge the theft of the elixir of immortality, repeatedly sowed discord between Bai Suzhen and her husband, forced Xu Xian to become a monk at Jinshan Temple, and forced Bai Suzhen to violate the heavenly rules.
Although Bai Suzhen was pregnant at the time, she still went to Jinshan Temple without hesitation to save her husband, and after her desperate pleas went unanswered.
She led the aquatic creatures of West Lake to flood Jinshan Temple, vowing to fight Fahai to the death. However, this caused tens of thousands of innocent townspeople to suffer disaster. In the end, she was imprisoned under Leifeng Pagoda by Fahai, which led to that moving and tragic myth.
Now that Li Xiuyuan has arrived, this part of the story will never happen again, and Fahai has changed the original trajectory, appearing in the story.
Li Xiuyuan said calmly, "Fahai, why have you appeared here?"
As he spoke, his gaze fell upon the old monk.
Fahai coldly replied, "Today, this old monk has received the Bodhisattva's decree, and I must settle this grudge at this very moment."
Guanyin Bodhisattva holds an extremely high position in Buddhism, and her wisdom and magical power are unmatched by Fahai. Upon receiving her decree, Fahai rushed over without hesitation.
"Guanyin!"
Li Xiuyuan muttered to himself, he vaguely felt that this matter was related, could it be because Bai Suzhen had deviated from her original path?
That's why Fahai came to subdue the demons and monsters. It turns out that not all Buddhists are good people!
Li Xiuyuan secretly thought that if it was really as he guessed, then the marriage of Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian and their suppression under Leifeng Pagoda in the original story were all part of the Buddhist sect's scheme.
Fahai pointed his hand at the towering pagoda on the shore of West Lake and shouted, "Bai Suzhen, our grudges should end here."
This Leifeng Pagoda is your final resting place. If you surrender, you may one day be able to escape. But if you continue to resist, you will be forever buried under this thunder and in the mountain winds!
As he spoke, his thunderous voice erupted, each word reverberating deep into Bai Suzhen's heart. This was the effect of him activating the Great Thunderous Voice Technique.
Bai Suzhen hesitated for a moment, and Li Xiuyuan shouted, "Suzhen, don't listen to this old monk's nonsense. With me here, you will be fine."
As he spoke, his voice was loud and clear, which woke Bai Suzhen.
Li Xiuyuan inherited the memories of Jianglong, and he possessed almost everything that Fahai knew.
Chapter 171 Battle against Fahai
The practice this person uses is also the Great Sun Tathagata True Sutra, a method of visualizing the Buddha in Vulture Peak.
Bai Suzhen, holding the Taiyi Sword, stepped forward and said in a clear voice, "Very well, let our feud end here in West Lake!"
As she spoke, cloud sleeves formed from condensed clouds stretched out, swirling and coalescing around her like two white snakes.
She felt no fear whatsoever, for with Li Xiuyuan present, her husband would not allow anything to happen to her.
Upon seeing this, Li Xiuyuan's lips curled up. He prepared to let the two of them have a match first. If Bai Suzhen was truly no match for him, he would naturally step in without hesitation.
With Li Xiuyuan backing her up, Bai Suzhen had no worries whatsoever.
Fahai suddenly shook his staff, the golden rings jingling, and the invisible thunderous sound swept through the entire bamboo forest in circles, and the floating clouds in the sky seemed to dissipate some of them.
"Then let this old monk subdue you!"
The three-zhang-tall golden body with two faces and four arms floated up from his body. In each of the four hands of the golden body, he held a magical artifact: a shield, a scripture, a command flag, and a rosary.
It was indeed the six-zhang golden body of Buddhism, but Fahai's cultivation was not up to par, so it was only three zhang long.
If Li Xiuyuan were to unleash this technique, he could extend it to four zhang (approximately 13 meters). Even if they were at the same level and using the same technique, the power would be much greater because he was visualizing his future Buddha.
In Bai Suzhen's hands, two cloud sleeves surged like a tidal wave, piercing towards Fahai's heart with a sharp whistling sound! These cloud sleeves contained the surging power of water spirit, which could turn even mountains and iron walls into dust in an instant.
Fahai raised his golden shield, which suddenly grew to several meters in size, completely blocking the area in front of him.
Both of their cloud sleeves were stirred up. One of the sleeves flew into the sky and then suddenly turned down to stab at Fahai's head. Fahai then raised his shield to block it.
Just then, another cloud sleeve suddenly pierced through the rock beneath his feet and wrapped around his ankle, enveloping his entire golden body. The other cloud sleeve also unfolded again, enveloping him and, in the blink of an eye, turning the enormous golden body into a cloud.
A violent metallic scraping sound came from within the cloud, but it was not a simple suppression; rather, it was a force of immense water pressure, rapidly vibrating and rotating, quickly eroding the golden body's spiritual power!
"Om mani padme hum..."
Suddenly, a chanting of Sanskrit emanated from within the clouds. The sound did not dissipate but transformed into golden Sanskrit characters, swirling around Fahai's body, while his cloud sleeves rapidly dissolved.
And each Sanskrit character continued to emit its original sound, and for a moment, it seemed as if thousands of monks were chanting scriptures together on the mountain.
It is the six-syllable mantra technique in Buddhism.
Bai Suzhen pressed her forehead and felt a wave of dizziness, as if countless chisels were chiseling at her head. Suddenly, she opened her mouth and let out an angry roar.
After she practiced the Supreme Heavenly Demon True Scripture, every frown, smile, gesture, and movement of hers could draw upon the spiritual power of heaven and earth, shattering all those golden Sanskrit characters.
She regained some of her senses. Fahai was indeed extraordinary. If she hadn't made great progress in her training during this period, even this move would have been dangerous. But now her skills had greatly improved.
Fahai's two golden faces, one angry and one furious, once again swung out the prayer beads and struck Bai Suzhen.
There were 108 prayer beads in total, each the size of a jar opening, raining down from above. Bai Suzhen flew into the air, the prayer beads following closely behind, determined to kill her.
Bai Suzhen drew her sword to defend herself, and the sound of metal clashing resounded in all directions, followed by a thunderous crash.
The two fought in mid-air, but Fahai was exhausted, while Bai Suzhen's fighting power had greatly increased due to her recent practice of the Supreme Heavenly Demon Scripture.
A moment later, Fahai's cassock was torn and disheveled, and he looked somewhat disheveled. But he was only disheveled. He said indifferently, "Bai Suzhen, this old monk will surely imprison you under Leifeng Pagoda today."
As he spoke, he held his staff horizontally, his hands forming a constantly changing mudra, and his whole body shone with even brighter golden light.
Simultaneously manipulating the two-faced, four-armed golden body, one hand raised a shield to protect the whole body. At this time, the shield was no longer in its original form, but transformed into a light shield that covered the whole body, like a miniature Buddha light wall.
With one hand, he directs the 108 prayer beads to spin rapidly around his body; with the other hand, he waves a command flag to summon thousands of Buddhist soldiers; and with the third hand, he opens a scripture and recites the mantra together with the deity!
Fahai spoke golden lotuses from his mouth, holding up huge Sanskrit characters that resounded throughout the entire West Lake.
Rumble!
The white veil was blown into the sky by the surging wind, Bai Suzhen's hair was disheveled, and her long, jet-black hair, reaching past her waist, danced wildly in the wind.
A faint mist enveloped her, emanating from her snow-white skin, like the clouds that lock in a majestic snow-capped mountain, making her figure appear as pure and ethereal as the mountain itself.
Under Fahai's fierce offensive, Bai Suzhen ultimately lost. After all, she was a demon, and her inherited skills were inferior to Fahai's. Moreover, his magic weapon was powerful, even without using the golden alms bowl.
Seeing that Bai Suzhen had suffered a prolonged defeat, Li Xiuyuan said calmly, "Suzhen, you should rest for now! I will fight Fahai."
After saying that, he flashed to Bai Suzhen's side and told her to go down and rest first.
Bai Suzhen nodded upon seeing this. She didn't insist any further, as continuing the fight would likely result in injury.
Just then, a flash of blue light appeared in the air, and Xiaoqing arrived with Feng Heng. It turned out that they had heard the sounds of Bai Suzhen and Fahai's fierce battle and rushed over.
When the two arrived, they saw three people facing off, and Bai Suzhen, her aura swirling, quickly flew over to protect her.
Li Xiuyuan looked at Fahai's three-zhang-tall golden body and said indifferently, "Fahai, I have heard that you have the Buddha's golden alms bowl. Hurry up and take it out, or you will not have a chance to make a move later."
Although the two were at the same level, Li Xiuyuan was confident that he was stronger than his opponent. When he fought Bai Suzhen that day, he only played around and did not use his full strength for fear of hurting Bai Suzhen.
After all, what Li Xiuyuan wanted was a complete Bai Suzhen, not an injured one. That's why the last battle was so difficult; capturing her alive and defeating her are two completely different things.
Chapter 172 The Buddha's Golden Bowl
At the same level, few can capture him alive. Li Xiuyuan relied on the top-level innate spiritual treasure, the Black Lotus of Annihilation.
Upon hearing Li Xiuyuan's words, Fahai became enraged. It was easy for Buddhists to recognize that the other party was practicing demonic techniques. He shouted, "Demon, cease your arrogance!"
As he spoke, he swung his golden staff horizontally.
