Bathed in the warm, hazy light of the crystal, Nuwa's figure appeared both ethereal and otherworldly. Her calves, not fully covered by her skirt, were smooth and white. Looking further up, they were shrouded in red gauze, and her fair skin appeared and disappeared with Nuwa's unintentional movements. Li Xiuyuan wished he could tear the pomegranate skirt to shreds to see the enchanting scenery beneath.
"Ah~ Master!"
Li Xiuyuan felt a tightness in his lower abdomen and thought to himself that as expected of a woman with snake blood, she was truly beautiful and alluring. A moment later, the red veil was thrown off the bed.
After the lovemaking, Nuwa lay contentedly in Li Xiuyuan's arms, extending her slender finger to tap Li Xiuyuan's nose and playfully scolding, "Master, you can count for yourself how long it's been since you last saw me!"
Li Xiuyuan took the opportunity to put that jade-like finger into his mouth and slowly sucked on it. "Alright, it's all my fault. I'll make it up to you!"
After that, another embarrassing sound rang out from inside the Nuwa Palace.
Meanwhile, Hua Xu's belly grew bigger every day, and she could no longer hide it.
Even the leader of a group obsessed with their daughters couldn't help but darken his face. "Hua Xu, whose child is in your belly? What's going on? You've always been an obstacle for us, how could you do such a thing?"
Hua Xu asked, "Father, do you believe what I'm saying?"
"Of course, I will believe you as long as you say it."
Hua Xu touched her belly, and she could feel a healthy little baby growing inside.
"Father, do you remember the day we entered Thunder Swamp? After entering Thunder Swamp, I saw a red light descend from the sky. So I walked along the place where the red light fell. After walking for nearly half a day, I saw a huge footprint not far ahead. It was very, very big, about a hundred feet long and nearly thirty feet wide."
Out of curiosity, I stepped on it, and at that moment, a red light rose from beneath my feet. I suddenly felt as if a snake was coiling around me, and at the same time, I was surrounded by celestial music and the dance of birds. The red light circled my body nine times before disappearing into my abdomen. Shortly after returning home, I was diagnosed with pregnancy.
The leader was stunned and speechless for a long time.
After a long silence, the leader said in an extremely weary voice, "Hua Xu, abort this child. You might be carrying a demon's offspring!"
Princess Huaxu firmly disagreed with aborting the child.
Soon, news of Princess Huaxu's pregnancy spread throughout the entire tribe. People were initially happy, eagerly awaiting the birth of her child, but upon hearing that she might be carrying a demon's child, some became restless and incited others to protest at the chief's house.
During the great war between the Witch Clan and the Demon Clan, all living beings suffered greatly, and the human race was especially devastated, with a large number of people dying.
At this time, people still harbored deep hatred for the demon race, and they never expected that their princess would be pregnant with a demon's child, which was unacceptable to many.
Hua Xu resolutely refused, and the leader had no choice but to imprison Hua Xu in a remote place.
Hua Xu had been pampered since childhood, and since being locked in the dark room, no one had served her. Moreover, Hua Xu was heavily pregnant and had not been able to find enough food for three days.
Life was tough, but Hua Xu never gave up on her love for the child in her womb.
On the fourth day, Hua Xu went out to find food as usual, and as soon as she opened the door, she found a basket of sweet and fresh fruit on the ground.
Hua Xu looked around but couldn't find any kind person who had left it at her door. Ultimately, she couldn't resist her hunger and stopped thinking about it.
Unexpectedly, ever since that day, there have been various kinds of food at the door every day.
Later, Hua Xu deliberately got up very early and finally saw the person who brought her food, which turned out to be a Qilin.
The Qilin is a legendary auspicious beast, and it is said that wherever the Qilin appears, a person of both virtue and talent will surely appear.
Hua Xu touched her belly, and the thought that the baby in her womb would be a person of great wisdom and ability made her beautiful eyebrows and eyes involuntarily curve.
After that day, the Qilin generously brought food to Huaxu.
And so, everyone in the tribe learned that the Qilin had brought food to Huaxu.
Soon after, Li Xiuyuan finally remembered what had happened in the tribe. Upon returning to the tribe, he heard that Huaxu had been arrested, and hurriedly ran to find the chief.
"How could we be so careless as to capture Princess Huaxu? You must know that she is carrying the child of Sendai! The child in her womb will be the future ruler of the world, whose status will be immeasurable."
Upon hearing Li Xiuyuan's words and recalling the recent appearance of the Qilin, the people in the tribe became even more certain of the child in Huaxu's womb and hurriedly brought Huaxu out of the small dark room.
All the people of the land were praying for the birth of the Lord in heaven, but unfortunately they waited year after year and never saw the Lord's birth.
Finally, after twelve years of pregnancy, the ruler of the world was born. The world rejoiced, phoenixes danced in the sky, hundreds of birds sang, and seven-colored light shone on Huaxu's delivery room.
Li Xiuyuan was very happy to hold his newborn child, but he also felt a bit of novelty, since he had never held a baby before!
Looking at the baby in his arms, Li Xiuyuan murmured to himself, "Fuxi, Fuxi, we are truly destined to be together! I never imagined that in this life you would be reborn as your master."
Fuxi then began to study under Li Xiuyuan. Li Xiuyuan did not provide Fuxi with much guidance, but only offered pointers when Fuxi needed them.
Fuxi was extremely intelligent and could apply what he learned to other situations. He could use anything he saw to its fullest potential.
One day, Fuxi saw a spider weaving its web to catch prey. Suddenly, a brilliant idea struck him: if he wove a net from rope, he would surely catch far more food. This would be much easier and less strenuous than people using forks to catch food one by one, and it would be far more effective.
So Fuxi experimented repeatedly and finally created a fishing net that could easily catch more food. At the same time, Fuxi also tamed wild animals and stored food. In a short time, the tribe had more and more food. So Fuxi spread these technologies widely and saved many people.
Chapter 1054 Ruler of the World
After solving the problem of food and clothing for the people, Fuxi created many musical instruments based on his observations, established the marriage system, implemented a system of male-female pairing, and created the calendar. He saw that many people died in the cold winter, so he taught people to make clothes from animal skins to keep warm.
Under Fuxi's rule, the tribe prospered, and rumors spread that Fuxi possessed divine virtues. Ultimately, he united all the tribes of Huaxia and established his capital in Chen.
Fuxi's daily work became increasingly busy, but the reports he heard most often were about natural disasters, such as wind, rain, thunder, and lightning. Whenever natural disasters struck, the human race could not escape them, and countless deaths often occurred.
Fuxi was troubled every day. He often looked at the clouds in the sky and studied the changes in the weather, but no matter how hard he thought about it, he could not come up with a solution. He was always frowning.
Seeing this, Li Xiuyuan was anxious for him and even wanted to tell him the answer directly, but he couldn't do that. After all, he wanted to cultivate a true human emperor, and he needed Fuxi to rely on his own abilities to observe and create. So, Li Xiuyuan chose a sunny day to take Fuxi out for a walk to clear his mind.
Fuxi lay on the ground listlessly and said, "Master, you should go by yourself. I won't go." The research he had done these past few days had left him exhausted, yet there had been no progress, which made him extremely frustrated.
Li Xiuyuan advised, "Fuxi, let's go! Go outside and get some fresh air, change your mood, maybe you'll suddenly have a breakthrough?"
Fuxi didn't speak, but simply shook his head, declining the invitation.
Li Xiuyuan smiled helplessly and said in a serious tone, "Fuxi, now that you have become the ruler of the world, do you no longer care about what your master says?"
Fuxi grew increasingly angry at his master's words, and had no choice but to obediently stand up and follow Li Xiuyuan.
Li Xiuyuan brought Fuxi to Caihe, where the scenery was beautiful and pleasant, with the fragrance of flowers in the wind.
A gentle breeze blew by, and Fuxi felt his melancholy dissipate in the warm air. Under Li Xiuyuan's guidance, Fuxi began fishing. Fuxi was always a skilled fisherman, but this time he couldn't catch any fish no matter what he tried.
Finally, Fuxi felt he had made a catch. He took it out of the water and saw that it was a white turtle, pure white with an intricate shell on its back. Out of curiosity, Fuxi kept the white turtle as a pet.
Fuxi would feed the white tortoise from time to time, and a bond developed between them. He liked to sit beside the white tortoise and think about things while looking at its shell.
Over time, Fuxi noticed that the patterns on the white tortoise shell seemed to follow a certain regularity. Thinking about this, Fuxi unconsciously began to draw the tortoise shell, and as he drew, he began to develop a style.
Fuxi integrated the principles of Yin and Yang changes in the universe, using one channel to represent Yang, one channel to represent Yin, one Yang and two Yin, one Yin and two Yang, and by combining these, the Eight Trigrams were gradually formed.
This is the Eight Trigrams, created based on the principle of Yin and Yang changes in the universe. It uses eight simple yet profound symbols to summarize all things in the universe.
Looking at how Fuxi had witnessed the human race's increasingly prosperous development over the past century, Li Xiuyuan couldn't help but marvel at the human race's revitalization, realizing it was indeed the trend of the Great Dao.
As the Heavenly Dao of Hongjun is gradually declining, he is now searching everywhere for talents to replenish the talent crisis brought about by the Lich War. He probably did not expect that the human race, which he once looked down upon, is now the gathering place of talents. This has brought great benefits to Li Xiuyuan, allowing him to fully explore talents, cultivate his own support, and increase his merit points.
It should be noted that since the Lich War, the path to enlightenment has become increasingly arduous, and one careless mistake could result in being sucked into a fragment of spacetime and becoming one with it.
Merit-based enlightenment gradually became the general trend. Li Xiuyuan gained a large number of merit points by guiding Suiren and Fuxi to educate the masses and help the human race get rid of ignorance.
This naturally aroused envy, jealousy, and resentment from others, who wanted to try and gain some merit points.
That day, Li Xiuyuan had just returned to Chen after his rendezvous with Nuwa when Fuxi, upon hearing the news, rushed over. Without even bothering to pay his respects, he said, "Master, a sage has come from outside and says he wants to see you."
Li Xiuyuan was surprised. Since he had been traveling for a thousand years, he had only heard of a friend with whom he had lost contact. Today, he wondered who it was that had come here. Judging from Fuxi's expression, the person must be someone of considerable importance.
Thinking of this, Li Xiuyuan pursed his lips and said, "Fuxi, I've told you so many times, you've grown up now, you're the ruler of the world, how can you still be so impetuous?"
Fuxi realized his lapse in decorum, so he bowed with both hands and said respectfully, "Yes! Your disciple knows his mistake!"
Seeing that Fuxi's attitude in admitting his mistake was sincere, Li Xiuyuan nodded with satisfaction. "Yes! Do you know who came looking for me?"
"Reporting to Master, that person claims to be Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, a disciple of a disciple personally taught by Hongjun Patriarch."
Li Xiuyuan was drinking water when he heard Fuxi's words and immediately spat it out. "Who?"
Fuxi was somewhat puzzled. Could it be that there was some unspeakable connection between this Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and his master? Although Fuxi was puzzled, he suppressed his doubts and said, "Master, that person claims to be Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. I see auspicious clouds swirling around him, so he must be an extraordinary person."
"He's more than extraordinary, he's a stubborn mule!" Li Xiuyuan wiped his mouth and followed Fuxi to meet the guest.
Thousands of years ago, Li Xiuyuan had several encounters with Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. At that time, he had not yet become a disciple of Cundi and was an extremely stubborn person who would not give up until he achieved his goal.
Li Xiuyuan recalled those days and wondered what Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's purpose was in coming here. Could it be that his old mother had gone to the underworld again?
"Sage Li!"
As Li Xiuyuan entered the cave, he saw a monk in front of him, holding a lotus in his left hand and offering fearlessness in his right, which was the monastic appearance of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva hurriedly approached Li Xiuyuan and welcomed him into the cave. In Li Xiuyuan's memory, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was always taciturn, deep-thinking, with a stern face and a calm demeanor, rarely showing any signs of panic or anxiety.
So when Li Xiuyuan saw the anxious expression on Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's face, he vaguely felt that something big was about to happen! But then he thought that the human race had been developing steadily in recent years, so the trouble was probably only in the west.
Chapter 1055 Rare Guest
"There's no need for formalities between us. We haven't met for thousands of years. Is there something you need my help with?" Li Xiuyuan asked considerately before Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva could even speak.
"Alright! Since Sage Li is so straightforward, I won't beat around the bush either! I have indeed come here today with a favor to ask, and this matter actually has some connection with your disciple."
"Oh?" Hearing this, Li Xiuyuan became more and more puzzled. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva only stayed in the West, while Fuxi had never set foot in the Western Lands. When did they become connected?
Fuxi, standing to the side, also pondered for a long time. Having lived for nearly a hundred years, he had never seen the person in front of him before, and he listened to their discussion even more attentively.
“Sage, you know that I once made a great vow to save all sentient beings in the cycle of birth and death in the six realms. Therefore, I have been preaching and helping people in the defiled world for many years. I am accompanied by a spiritual beast that is connected to me by fate, named Di Ting.”
Upon hearing this, Li Xiuyuan couldn't help but ask, "Is that the divine beast that can hear eight hundred sounds while sitting down and three thousand sounds while lying down, that can distinguish the sounds of all things in the world, and that can discern good from evil and distinguish between the wise and the foolish by listening to people's hearts?"
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva nodded in agreement, "So, does this mean that Sage Li has seen Di Ting before, but does he know where?"
“No, I have never seen it.” Li Xiuyuan waved his hand. “I have only heard that there is such a divine beast. I heard that it is pure white and very intelligent and loyal.”
Li Xiuyuan also knew that the divine beast Di Ting had always followed its master, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and they had never been separated. However, Li Xiuyuan had not seen Di Ting since he came in. Perhaps Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was talking about Di Ting and Fuxi.
"Yes, it's a pity that my beloved spiritual pet is seriously injured. I hope the Sage can help me. Is that possible?" Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva looked troubled. He knew that Li Xiuyuan and Hongjun Ancestor were old enemies who were mortal enemies.
