Arknights' Lock of Heaven

I am Dylan, the pilot of the Rhodes Island near-ground aircraft, and I am currently driving around the city.
I should be sitting in the cockpit of an aircraft, holding the control stick, and the objects I should be dealing with in my work should be the terrain and turbulence.
I'm currently holding half of a fully automatic assault crossbow in my hand. I only heard about its model this morning. Even with only half of it left, it's still incredibly heavy.
My palms were sweaty. If I had to face a battlefield, it shouldn't be on the ground, much less in a dark alley like this in Columbia.
Moreover, if I had a choice, I would prefer that my enemy is not... uh.
While Dylan was lost in thought, Huang, who was fighting in front of him, took a moment to throw him a badge.
There were still traces of blood on it; yes, it was definitely just peeled off.
But this badge is precisely why he sighed so much.
"Dylan, I can't free my hands, can you help me see what's written on this?"
As he spoke, he activated the terrifying chainsaw, forcing back the attacks of several 'detectives'.
“Detective, Sister Huang, is a detective from Ticalendo.”
Dylan said helplessly.
"..." Upon hearing this, Huang remained silent for two seconds, "He made the first move."
Then, without holding back, a golden light flashed across his body, and he quickly dealt with the remaining people.
“Well… of course I know,” Dylan said helplessly, “but that’s not the problem right now.”
He looked down at the documents in his hand.
Yes, the workmanship is rough; it's definitely a fake.
"This document looks... like it's not real; the workmanship is terrible."
"At least his attire was indeed that of someone else, similar to the others on the rooftop this morning, and much more presentable than the others who weren't prepared with uniforms."
Huang shrugged innocently. "I have to ask this question a second time: which police officers would turn on their fully automatic crossbows while questioning someone?"
"Columbia?" Dylan still had the mood to tell a lame joke.
"Stop joking. You know he's not a detective, at least not the kind of detective we're familiar with."
“But the problem is,” Huang sighed, “we’ve been fighting for so long, why hasn’t a single real detective shown up?”
She looked around. "This isn't some slum...it's at least a street close to the city center..."
"It's been almost twenty minutes, and not a single detective has shown up... Are Colombian police officers this lax?"
Hearing this, Dylan lowered his head and looked at the half-broken automatic crossbow in his hand.
"I would rather they really were that lazy."
This means things aren't as bad as they seem.
The weapon, which had been pointing at his chest just moments before, had now been smashed in two.
The 'detective' had lost consciousness. If Huang had been able to restrain himself when he made his move, he should have been able to save his life.
"Are we... safe?" a medic they were protecting asked weakly.
“It’s not safe until we leave Ticalendo—and it might not even be safe until we leave Colombia.”
Huang sighed and signaled his team to be on alert. "It seems we're being watched."
“Then we need to get out of here quickly,” Dylan nodded upon hearing this, “and go back to the ‘safe house’ outside the city, then take the flying vehicle directly.”
“We can’t just leave like this,” Huang shook his head upon hearing this. “You can take the support staff and go first. My team and I will stay here.”
"Why?" Dylan asked, puzzled. "You should know our current situation. The fact that no detectives have come after all this time means that whoever attacked us has connections everywhere."
"At least that's the case in this city."
"Moreover," he looked down at the broken weapon in his hand, "this is the first time I've seen such a powerful automatic crossbow, equipped with such elite forces, and on someone else's territory."
"It's too dangerous for you to stay."
“This kind of fully automatic weapon is quite common in Colombia,” Huang shrugged. “You know our purpose. Colombia is such a big market. If we can’t find out who is targeting us, it will cause a lot of trouble in the future.”
As an elite operator of Rhodes Island, Blaze knew some of the inside information.
Therefore, she absolutely cannot go back like this after this operation.
At the very least, we need to figure out who the enemy is.
She looked down at the fake detectives at her feet.
"Hopefully they're alright. Medical personnel, come quickly and bandage them up."
"Dylan, take my team to the safe house in the city and lay low for a while."
"Don't let these people die. It would be great if we could get any information out of them."
"And what about you?" Dylan paused, taken aback.
"Me?" Huang looked towards the street in the distance: "Don't forget, Gavial and the others are still outside..."
“Um,” Dylan said with a strange expression, “If you’re worried about Gavial, I don’t think it’s necessary…”
“No, I’m not worried about her safety,” Huang sighed. “Just look at these people. The people behind the scenes have no idea of our strength. They probably really think of Rhodes Island as just an ordinary company.”
"So I'm not worried about Gavial, I'm only worried about... what if she can't stop herself?"
At this point, Huang rubbed her temples. Despite her carefree attitude, Gavial is usually quite sensible.
But if she encountered these malevolent killers who came with the intent to kill, she might not necessarily leave any survivors.
We can't say she did anything wrong, but we need to interrogate her alive to extract information.
To be honest, Huang was a little embarrassed because he hadn't left behind any... well, let's just say he wasn't a completely intact enemy.
Even if these people survive, it will probably take them a long time to wake up, and they can't afford to wait that long.
Time is of the essence now.
We can only pin our hopes on Gavial.
Because she had to protect most of the support personnel, and the opposing side was no weakling with superior weaponry, she dared not hold back.
I don't think Gavial has this problem...

When Huang arrived at Gavial's place, he accepted everything.
She stood there, chainsaw in hand, staring blankly at the gangsters in the alley, their limbs missing and still howling in pain, while she and Gavial, their faces beaming with excitement, remained silent.
It seems I need to prepare to stay in Ticalendo and gather information.
But... I'm really not good at this. If only the professor were here.
340 The Holiday That Will Eventually End
The professor is currently enjoying a happy vacation and probably doesn't have time to deal with his worries.
And I heard that there's been a problem with the volcano in her resort city... I guess she's probably extremely busy right now.
Although the holiday is almost over according to the schedule.
Thinking of this, Huang shook his head slightly and tried to cheer himself up.
Then, looking at the gangsters lying on the ground groaning in pain, he shook his head helplessly.
Well, in her opinion, Gavial had already gone easy on them. Although they were missing limbs, at least no one died, right?
Although the alley was splattered with blood, the guard who had accompanied Gavial was cowering in a corner, his face filled with terror.
To be honest, Gavial's methods are indeed a bit... unacceptable to ordinary people.
"Thank goodness they weren't all dead," Huang really wasn't worried about Gavial's safety at all; there was no need to be.
She was only worried about one thing: if no one was left alive on this side either... then she would really have to stay behind and investigate on her own.
"Hey, let me tell you something," Gavial's eyes lit up when he saw her arrive, and he walked up happily, clutching the dress in his hands.
"This thing is really useful!" she said excitedly. "You don't even feel a thing if someone hits you on the head with a stick."
"No need to worry about defense, just fight freely, it's absolutely fantastic!!!"
"I've made up my mind, and I'll never change it, even if it kills me. I want this one!"
Upon hearing this, Huang couldn't help but let out a wry smile.
After all, despite how good Gavial is at fighting, her main profession is a doctor!
Many people have advised her to change her outfit and improve her reputation... so that any operator who comes to heal will run away at the mere mention of her name.
Although her treatment methods were somewhat 'rough', her medical skills were actually commendable.
Otherwise, Kal'tsit wouldn't have approved her appointment to the medical department.
As for how useful the formal attire is... who doesn't know that...?
So many people are eagerly waiting for their turn.
