"Let's work together and do something."
There is no free lunch in the world.
Eddie Thomas wasn't surprised and asked, "Like what?"
“I’m going to Mexico and Colombia soon,” Ding Ze said directly to the CIA director, “There’s no point in beating around the bush. I hope we can do business together.”
Eddie Thomas heard this, and a faint smile suddenly appeared on his expressionless face. He found it absurd. "You? Forgive my bluntness, but Mexico and Colombia will devour you."
Ding Ze grinned, "Them?"
Eddie Thomas raised an eyebrow slightly upon hearing this. "You're very confident. What's the basis for that confidence?"
“I know them inside and out,” Ding Ze replied with a smile.
Eddie Thomas paused briefly; the absurdity he had just felt dissipated somewhat, but not entirely. He didn't believe that Ding Ze could truly establish himself in Mexico and Colombia...
Because, fundamentally, cartels in Mexico and Colombia cannot tolerate any foreign interference in their specialty product business.
“We’re willing to buy the stuff you have,” Eddie Thomas said. He had no interest in helping Ding Ze make that kind of money and didn’t want to waste time on such wishful thinking. “With this money, you’ll never have to work again.”
Ding Ze hadn't expected this conversation to be so easy. Hearing Eddie Thomas say this, he wasn't surprised. He decisively shook his head with a smile, "I'm going to use that stuff to buy my way out. I don't lack money."
This isn't bragging.
He certainly doesn't lack money.
To know.
The golden city from the movie "National Treasure 2" is still waiting for him.
Although the location of that golden city makes moving the gold quite difficult, it can still be done smoothly with proper planning.
So, are you short of money? Not a damn thing.
“If you insist on buying it, then I think we have nothing more to discuss,” Ding Ze said with a smile.
Eddie Thomas was genuinely surprised by Ding Ze's firm stance. He chuckled slightly, then smiled faintly again, showing a tiny bit of interest in Ding Ze. "You know who I am. If I insist on having that batch of goods, can you stop me?"
“It’s probably impossible to stop you, but you won’t get it too easily either. And if necessary, I will destroy that batch of stuff,” Ding Ze said calmly.
The Freemasons wanted the treasure because of the significance it held.
The treasure was destroyed... The Freemasons cannot accept this outcome.
In other words, Eddie Thomas would be in big trouble if that treasure were really destroyed.
“You’re a really interesting person,” Eddie Thomas said, disliking the feeling of having his lifeline controlled, though he didn’t show it, only saying in a playful tone, “Do you know how long it would take you to earn billions, even if a miracle happened and you really established yourself in Mexico and Colombia?”
Eddie Thomas doesn't believe Ding Ze is really not short of money. The reason is simple: no one would really complain about having too much money. Besides, if he really wasn't short of money, why would he bother doing business in Mexico and Colombia?
until…..
"I don't know," Ding Ze replied bluntly, "but it doesn't matter, I'm not doing this for the money."
When it comes to men in this world, they really come down to three things.
Money, power, and women.
Then, money can buy women, and so, if it's not for money, then all that's left is power.
Upon hearing Ding Ze's reply and understanding his meaning, Eddie Thomas realized that he had misunderstood something. At that moment, he almost couldn't help but burst out laughing.
This world is so magical.
A criminal would rather give up billions or even tens of billions of dollars in pursuit of power.
But, laugh it off...
On second thought, Ding Ze's pursuit of power in Mexico and Colombia actually benefits the CIA... Putting aside everything else, at least for a certain period, the CIA can take advantage of the chaos and do certain things more conveniently...
Thinking this, Eddie Thomas stopped laughing and changed his mind, "I haven't met a young man like you in many years."
"I can consider the collaboration."
"But the prerequisite is that you can produce certain results to prove that you have that ability."
"You should understand that we need to be very careful when choosing partners."
As soon as these words came out.
For Ding Ze, the purpose of this meeting was half achieved.
“Of course,” Ding Ze smiled, temporarily changing his mind about using the Gu worms, and nodded, “You’ll see in a month.”
Eddie Thomas shook his head slightly. "Twenty days. In twenty days, we will need your stuff, by whatever means necessary."
After a pause, Eddie Thomas added, "Not a single item from that batch can be sold within the next twenty days."
Twenty days.
It's not a lot, but it's alright.
Ding Ze thought for a moment and decided not to haggle. "Twenty days. Also, as I said, after the cooperation is reached, I will send that batch of goods to you in batches. There is no room for negotiation on this."
“Sure,” Eddie Thomas smiled. “Then I’ll look forward to your good news. By the way, I hope to see what you really look like next time we meet.”
After saying that, Eddie Thomas got up and left.
next second.
A dozen or so seemingly ordinary men and women from all corners of the restaurant suddenly stood up in unison and left.
Upon hearing this and seeing the situation...
Abruzzi, who had been silent until now, breathed a sigh of relief and subconsciously touched his face. "How did he figure that out?"
“Who knows? But that’s normal. After all, he’s the director of the CIA. He couldn’t have gotten that position if he didn’t have some ability,” Ding Ze replied nonchalantly. “Let’s eat. I’m getting a little hungry.”
While eating, the two chatted and talked about the woodland, which was the construction project of the base camp.
Ding Ze didn't know much about building houses.
Abruzzo, however, knew a bit about him.
Therefore, it was mostly Abruzzi who was doing the talking.
Ding Ze only made some additions from time to time according to the plan.
In Ding Ze's view, the buildings and such at the base camp are not that important at the moment. After all, the above-ground things can be developed later; money is not an issue.
Importantly, there were two impregnable underground warehouses and at least two escape routes.
One of the underground warehouses was used to store illicit funds, while the other was used to store weapons.
Two escape routes, one overt and one covert. The fewer people who know about the covert route, the better... This is a way to save your life.
The two talked for a long time before they had covered most of the relevant information.
-
In a blink of an eye.
It's almost noon of a new day.
Abruzzi returned from outside with a document in his hand and approached Ding Ze. "Boss, the situation of the Miami gangs is all here."
"Thank you," Ding Ze said, taking the document and reading it silently.
Abruzzi left without disturbing them.
It didn't take long for Ding Ze to finish reading the document, light a cigarette, and begin to ponder.
Today in Miami, apart from a few small, insignificant criminal gangs, there are five large gangs, composed of Mexicans, Colombians, Ukrainians, Russians, and native-born African Americans.
Mexicans specialize in Mexican products.
Colombians sell Colombian specialties.
With a fierce determination that they would rather die than return to that godforsaken place, Ukrainians mainly sell various pills, and also deal in Mexican and Colombian specialties.
The Russians are a bit peculiar; they run an entertainment business... A large portion of Miami's entertainment venues are owned by Russians, and they're filled with all sorts of Russian girls.
Perhaps due to their chaotic nature, Black Americans tend to have chaotic businesses, engaging in almost anything from collecting protection money and freebies to selling local specialties and kidnapping.
So…..
Who should we attack first?
Ding Ze thought and thought.
I made the decision after only a few minutes of thinking.
Mexicans and Colombians, you can't kill them all. After you kill one wave, two more waves come, endlessly, without end.
The Russians are just entertaining others... If possible, there's no need to eliminate them; you could choose to win them over.
Ukrainians... they have no way out, they're especially ruthless, if they're going to kill, they'll kill them all, leave no one alive... Starting with the Ukrainians is playing too big a game, let's put it aside for now and deal with it later.
and so.
The ideal choice, of course, is native-born African Americans.
Black criminals... to be honest, most of them aren't very bright. When they get down to business, they rely on brute force and firepower... This group is much easier to deal with.
A decision was made.
Ding Ze opened the document again and carefully reviewed the detailed information about the Miami black gangs.
