Raven put down his bow, glanced around at the crowd with one eye under his hood, and spoke in a contemptuous tone.

"It's nice to meet you again, Miss Ciola."

“Miss Rita, you don’t need to be so polite with me. After all, you are our guest.”

"Is it your custom to brandish weapons at your guests?"

"Who knows?"

Raven said coldly, as two mechs came up behind her, their dark cannons pointed into the room.

"Since Miss Siola doesn't welcome us, then we have no choice but to leave."

"People can't leave, but of course things have to be left behind."

Raven expressionlessly put on a gas mask, took out a controller, pressed the switch, and white smoke billowed from the exhaust vents of the main control room.

"Oops!"

Rita quickly covered her mouth and nose with her hands, but it was too late; some of the air had already been inhaled.

With most of the Honkai energy within her body suppressed, Rita felt weak in her limbs and almost collapsed, but she managed to steady herself with her scythe.

"The medicine seems to be working well."

Raven looked at the Valkyries who were mostly lying on the ground, nodded in satisfaction, and released the Death Weaver to deal with the Valkyries, while he stayed here to guard the area.

……

As time moved slightly forward, just as Rita quietly slipped in, a beautiful figure, bathed in moonlight, also stepped onto this sinful land.

"This is it."

Kiana looked at the building not far away, took out the two pistols from her waist, and spoke in a low voice.

Even though the news of Luo Chen's survival and Xuan Yu's care didn't change Kiana's personality to be like the one in the story, the once carefree girl had still grown a lot, and many things had accumulated in her heart that she was unwilling to tell others.

"The recent collapse in Sky City should hold the answer."

Regarding the successive collapses occurring in Sky City, Kiana, through her own investigation and information from Xuan Yu, has basically determined that the mastermind behind them is Shencheng Pharmaceuticals. Although Xuan Yu has already handed this matter over to Rita, Kiana still wants to come and see for herself.

Two corpses lay in front of the back door. Kiana knew that Rita and the others had already been here, but she didn't know if she would run into them.

Kiana moved slowly along the wall, teleporting away whenever she encountered a mech, perfectly concealing her presence.

Upon arriving at the underground level, Kiana headed in the opposite direction from Rita and the others, going to another location.

Kiana reached the end of the room and found herself facing a door with several locks on it. She deduced that there must be valuable items inside and used teleportation to enter.

The room was pitch black and nothing could be seen, so Kiana took out a flashlight she had prepared beforehand and illuminated the area in front of her.

This looks like an office; there's a computer desk in the corner with scattered papers on it.

"these are……"

Kiana glanced through the documents and a look of surprise appeared on her face. They contained experimental records of artificial Stigmata, with some notes in the margins.

"Damn it, who would do something so heinous?"

Kiana clenched her fists in anger. In her eyes, these experiments were just wantonly trampling on other people's lives. She was determined to find the person behind these experiments and bring them to justice.

boom!

A muffled thud came from outside the door, startling Kiana, whose expression turned serious.

"what's the situation?"

They teleported out of the room, and a loud noise came from the distant corridor, causing all the patrolling mechs to move in that direction.

"Go over and have a look."

Kiana rushed over with her weapon in hand and saw a person staggering towards her. The person stopped abruptly just before getting close, and Kiana saw the terror on their face.

"Void, the Herrscher of Void! Help!"

Chapter 179 His Return

Arvit fell to the ground, yelled at Kiana in front of her, and hurriedly got up with his knife, staring at her warily.

What happened up ahead?

Arvit considered whether to tell Kiana that her teammates had forcibly sent her out to seek support. The underground level had been blocked by Raven, making communication with the outside world impossible, and even if she managed to find support, it was questionable whether Rita and the others could hold out.

After much deliberation, Alvitt tried to get Kiana's help and explained the situation inside.

"My teammates were ambushed and inhaled a strange gas. Their Honkai energy has been temporarily suppressed, but they are in a very dangerous situation."

"lead the way."

Kiana said without hesitation that even though Rita was hunting her down, she was still on the front line of the fight against the Honkai, and she knew Luo Chen, so Kiana would help her out of both goodwill and reason.

"Ok!"

With Kiana's help, Alvitt quickly took her to the main control area, where they encountered Rita and the others on the way.

"Lady Rita, I've brought reinforcements!"

Rita struggled to repel the tentacles of the Death Weaver, and just as she was about to turn around, Kiana teleported over and kicked the Death Weaver away.

"Miss Kiana, it's you."

"What, are you surprised to see me?"

Kiana stared intently at the Death Weaver and the raven behind her, wondering what could possibly make Rita, an S-rank Valkyrie, so weak.

"That's true, Rita should thank Miss Kiana for being willing to save her."

"Let's stop with the small talk and deal with this guy quickly."

Raven was somewhat surprised by Kiana's appearance. She contacted Jackal through her earpiece, asking how she had let Kiana in.

"Bring Rita and the Herrscher of the Void back with you."

The jackal ignored Raven's question and instead gave her a task. Raven scoffed inwardly, wondering what the jackal was thinking; whether she could even defeat them was another question entirely.

"Okay, I'll try my best."

Raven hung up the communication and looked at the group on the other end with a headache. Originally, as long as he stalled for long enough, taking down Rita and the others would not be a problem. But now Kiana had come, and he had to capture them all. Wasn't this just making things difficult for him?

……

About a few days ago, in some unknown place

In the dark and narrow passageway, the gray snake walked briskly, its boots making a clear sound as they stepped on the ground.

A steel gate blocked his way. Gray Serpent stopped in front of it, his eyes burning with fervor, and took out a card, pointing it at the gate.

The center of the gate lit up, and a command appeared in Gray Serpent's mind. Gray Serpent raised his hands high and said devoutly, "This is the grand wish of all people."

The door slowly moved to both sides, and light shone through the gaps onto the gray snake's head.

In the hall stood a majestic throne, upon which sat a man deep in thought. Below him stood another man, staring blankly at the ouroboros pattern behind the throne.

The last time Gray Serpent saw Kevin was over 1,500 years ago. In the vast river of time, that period was as insignificant as a few grains of sand in the desert. The wheels of history rolled onward, and power was successively taken over by different people, but his will remained unchanged.

Please forgive me for not being there to welcome your return.

Gray Serpent bowed in apology. Kevin, sitting on the throne, opened his eyes. His deep blue eyes were devoid of emotion, and a cold aura permeated his words.

"How's the plan going?"

"Progress is going smoothly. All the necessary prerequisites for the experiment have been prepared. The study on the jackal is nearing completion, and only one final data collection is required."

"Okay, let's get started."

As long as Kevin gives the order, the entire Sky City will become the World Serpent's testing ground, bringing the most important data to the Stigmata Project.

"Yes."

Gray Serpent stepped forward, knelt on one knee, and said respectfully, "To celebrate your return, Lord, I have a gift to offer you."

Gray Serpent presented the Heavenly Fire Judgment, and Kevin rose from his throne, transforming his twin pistols into a greatsword and wielding it in his hands.

The familiar touch came from my palm. This key of the gods, a symbol of destruction, had returned to its original owner's hands and could now unleash its terrifying destructive power.

"Only this weapon is worthy of humanity's savior."

"Old friend, we meet again."

Endless flames surged on the greatsword, and the sword blade, made of soul steel, trembled slightly, transforming into its most powerful form, with the flames on it intensifying.

Luo Chen looked at Jie Mie, seemingly wanting to say something but holding back. Since it had appeared here, it meant that Siegfried had been captured by the Gray Serpent. He just didn't know if it had been imprisoned in the Holy Mark Space.

Kevin glanced at Luo Chen, and seeing the complicated expression on his face, he could roughly guess what he was thinking. He looked at the gray snake coldly and asked, "How is its previous owner, Siegfried Kaslana?"

"He has been imprisoned by me, and it is entirely up to Your Majesty to decide what to do with him."

"He is a warrior fighting against the Honkai, take good care of him."

"Yes."

Gray Snake bowed to Kevin, then looked at Luo Chen who had been standing beside him and said respectfully, "Mr. Luo Chen, welcome to the World Snake."

"There's no need to say such things. Your Lord and I are merely using each other."

Luo Chen waved his hand, his golden eyes meeting the gray snake's electronic eyes, and lowered his voice, saying, "By the way, is Kiana still in the sky?"

"Yes."
