"What does the Sea of Quanta have to do with me?"
Yuno Hai's words about the sea are very important to Yuno. Although she doesn't know what they mean, they should be closely related to her power and Yuno Hai's birth.
Checking the time, she realized it was already evening. Yuno left her room, went to the kitchen for a quick dinner, and then went up to the deck alone.
The City of Abyss is especially beautiful at night. The dark seawater envelops this mysterious city, and the lights add to its magical atmosphere. As it is the secret stronghold of Anti-Entropy, there aren't many people in the City of Abyss, which creates a sense of tranquility.
Yuno looked toward the Eye of the Abyss, recalling what Hai Yuno had said, and pondered whether or not to do as she was told.
The thought that Luo Chen was in the Sea of Quanta immediately made up her mind. It was just the Eye of the Abyss, wasn't it? She wanted to see what surprise awaited her.
Chapter 155 The Dean's Duties
While Yuno was admiring the scenery, Theresa was undergoing intense training in Helios's training room.
Originally, the Helios, as a transport ship, was not equipped with high-precision weapons and training rooms, but Theresa considered that the personnel might always be divided into two groups in the future, so when she went to rescue Kiana, she renovated the Helios and arranged for many things that were not there before.
After finishing one round of training, Theresa took a short break and prepared for the next round.
“Ms. Theresa, please allow me to interrupt.”
Einstein leaned against the door of the training room and interrupted Theresa in a cool voice.
"Doctor, what's wrong? Is there a problem with Cocolia?"
Theresa put down Judas and turned off the virtual projection, then looked at Einstein with her rosy cheeks.
"No, it's just that I have something to tell you."
Einstein walked into the training field, as if he had made up his mind, and told Theresa some shocking news.
"There's another important reason why I recommended St. Freya's special trip to Abyss City: our Anti-Entropy Alliance Leader is currently in the Sea of Quanta."
"what?!"
Theresa's eyes widened as if she had heard something incredible, though the news was indeed incredible.
"The leader of the anti-entropy alliance is in the Sea of Quanta?"
"Yes."
Einstein wasn't surprised by Theresa's reaction. Although Walter had been largely uninvolved for years, and had recently been in the Sea of Quanta—practically missing—the information they gave St. Freya was that he was recuperating in a remote place. The Sea of Quanta, remote enough, right?
"Walter encountered a powerful enemy in the Sea of Quanta, and in order to keep him from entering the Authentic World, he had no choice but to stay in the Sea of Quanta."
Einstein mentioned to Theresa some time ago that Welt was the leader of the Anti-Entropy Alliance, but others were unaware of this. As for why Welt went to teach at St. Freya, that's a question for him.
"So, we still need to rescue Welt when we enter the Sea of Quanta?"
"Yes, the situation of Anti-Entropy is not optimistic. Walter must come back to take charge, otherwise the executors led by Cocolia will make a mess of Anti-Entropy."
Theresa wasn't particularly interested in the internal workings of anti-entropy, but since they were allies, she still paid some attention to it.
“Ms. There is one more thing. I don’t think your current training is effective.”
"why?"
Theresa was puzzled. Virtual combat had always been her main training program, and Bianca and the others often did this kind of training as well, and the results were quite good.
"Your current strength has reached a bottleneck, and regular training is meaningless for breaking through this bottleneck."
Einstein pointed out Theresa's current problem: given her current strength, no amount of combat training would be of any use. S-rank Valkyries already possess a wealth of combat experience; to improve her strength, she must start from other areas.
"I think so too, but I can't think of any other way. Oh, right, there's actually another one!"
Since she couldn't improve her own strength in a short time, she could improve other things too. With this in mind, Theresa immediately released the Godslayer Armor, and in an instant, the Moonlight covered her body.
"The God-Slaying Armor of Destiny, what are you doing taking this out?"
"There are six sets of the fourth-generation Godslayer Armor, one each on the three Valkyries of Schicksal, myself, Kiana, and Luo Chen. Each set of armor has its own corresponding release mode. However, my set was restricted by my grandfather, so I can't use the release mode."
"So you want me to help you remove the restrictions."
Einstein understood Theresa's thoughts; she hadn't studied the God-Slaying Armor, and she cherished this opportunity.
"I can give it a try, but the final result is unknown."
"If the Godslayer Armor has a Liberation Mode, why haven't we seen Luo Chen use it?"
As Einstein analyzed the Moonbeam, he suddenly remembered that he hadn't seen Luo Chen use the Godslayer Armor much in the previous battles; at most, he used it to block blades or something.
“I talked to him about it, but he doesn’t seem to be used to it.”
Theresa recalled Luo Chen's appearance at the time. He said he was not used to wearing a full suit of armor, and it was of little use to him after liberation, so he did not want to use it.
"It should be fine."
Einstein spent a great deal of effort cracking the internal program of the Moonbeam and finding the hidden restrictive program within it. He then spent another ten minutes cracking it, finally completely removing the restrictions on the Moonbeam.
"But Ms. Theresa, why are you in such a hurry to improve your strength?"
Theresa put away the Moonbeam and smiled as she listened to Einstein's words. Yes, why was she in such a hurry? Was it the helplessness she felt facing the Herrscher of the Void, or seeing Himeko, wounded and unconscious, in the Hyperion's corridor after fighting the Herrscher of the Void, or the unknown fate of Luo Chen after he fought the Herrscher of the Void alone? She couldn't say for sure; perhaps it was all of those things.
"I am the headmistress of St. Freya Academy. Protecting my students is my duty. How could I protect them without sufficient power?"
"I understand."
……
The next morning, Bronya, who was still asleep, was forcibly activated by Rosalia and Lilia and dragged off the bed.
"Rosalia and Lilia, how did you two get in?"
Bronya rubbed her eyes. Putting aside how these two little ones knew her room, she was very curious about how they got to Helios.
"It was that older sister named Yuno who brought us in!"
Rosalia explained in a loud voice that she and Lilia were originally trying to find Bronya below Helios when Yuno happened to run into them while she was out for a walk, so she brought the two of them up first.
"I see. What do you need Bronya for?"
Bronya finally broke free from the clutches of the Sleep Demon, floated into the bathroom to wash up, had Heavy Bunny tie two drills to her, and then returned to the Twins' side.
"Bronya, do you want to come play with us?"
Rosalia grabbed Bronya's hand and, before Bronya could agree, pulled her outside, leaving Lilia inside the room.
"You idiot Rosalia, why are you running so fast?"
Lilia chased after them, accusing them in a flat tone. After catching up with the two in front, she took Bronya's other hand.
Where are you taking Bronya?
After leaving Helios, the twins led Bronya into the city, and then gradually approached the outskirts. Bronya noticed the buildings were becoming fewer and fewer as they walked, and wondered where they were taking her, since it was so far away.
"Hehe, you'll see when you get there!"
Chapter 156 She disappeared
With only a few hours left before the opening of reservations for the Eye of the Abyss, Theresa and Einstein went over the process with Cocolia one last time before starting preparations for Helios.
The personnel entering have been determined. Since it is uncertain whether the Sea of Quanta is safe, Theresa will go inside to find Luo Chen and Walter, while Einstein and the others will stay outside to provide support and prevent Cocolia from betraying them.
To be honest, Theresa is a little nervous right now. The Sea of Quanta is something she has never encountered before, and humans always have a sense of awe and fear towards the unknown. So even a battle-hardened S-class Valkyrie like Theresa can't help but have some worries.
"Ms. Theresa, have you memorized the battle plan?"
"Don't worry, I've already memorized it."
"That's good. There's one more thing. You must always ensure your own safety; this is extremely important."
"I know."
Seeing that there was nothing more to add, Einstein told Theresa to rest well and then left Helios to head into the city of the Abyss.
Her equipment had just detected a strange fluctuation, but she put it aside for now while discussing matters with Theresa, figuring it might be some kind of experiment by Cocolia.
The fluctuations have persisted until now, and the map doesn't seem to indicate they're originating in a laboratory, making the situation rather perplexing. Therefore, Einstein decided to investigate alone. One reason was his familiarity with Abyss City, and another was that if it involved infiltrating a room, having too many people would be difficult.
The fluctuation occurred on the edge of Abyss City, a place Einstein remembered clearly. There were several warehouses storing miscellaneous items there, which meant something was definitely going on.
Einstein arrived near the warehouse and heard voices coming from a corner. He crept over there quietly.
"Dr. Einstein."
Einstein realized that someone was grabbing the hem of his clothes, and when he turned around abruptly, he startled Yuno behind him.
"Yuno, what are you doing here?"
Einstein covered Yuno's mouth to prevent her from making a sound, and only let go of her mouth after Yuno calmed down.
"When I was taking a walk in Abyss City, I suddenly sensed fluctuations of Honkai energy here. I was afraid it was a Honkai Beast, so I came to check it out."
Yuno calmed herself down. Einstein's sudden reaction had really startled her; she hadn't expected him to react so strongly.
Yuno originally thought she had nothing to do, so she wandered around the Sea Abyss City, but only in the outer areas. If she ran into someone in the main city, she would have to explain herself, which would be a bit troublesome.
While strolling around, Yuno noticed a familiar Honkai energy in the distance, but couldn't quite place it, so she decided to come and take a look, and that's how she encountered Einstein.
"Doctor, what exactly is going on?"
Yuno also heard the conversation. It sounded like there were only two people, one of whom was Cocolia, and the other sounded very familiar.
"I don't know, but we'll go check it out carefully."
Einstein and Yuno crept to the corner of the wall one after the other, peeking inside with half their heads showing. Einstein saw Cocolia and the back of another person, who appeared to be a woman wearing a white coat and a mask that obscured her face.
"All the information you requested is here. By the way, what do you want Siegfried's location for?"
