"How terrifying!" Peter quickly quickened his pace.

Betty was a little confused, but she quickened her pace.

This made the friction sensation even stronger.

Peter also felt the murderous aura of the knife behind him growing stronger.

“What’s wrong, darling?” Betty asked.

Just as the chibi-style spider was about to be killed, a golden light suddenly descended from the sky, unleashing a deadly attack.

Critical hit damage: 9999!

The chibi version of Flash's health bar was instantly emptied.

K·O!

The murderous aura behind him vanished.

Peter didn't dare turn around to see what was happening behind him, and quickly left the place of trouble with Betty.

Upon arriving at the dressing room backstage, Betty let go of Peter's hand because she needed to remove her makeup and take off her costumes in her own room.

"See you later~" Betty waved.

Peter nodded numbly.

To be honest, this was the first time Peter had ever had such close contact with a girl in his life.

This left him still feeling somewhat bewildered, unable to believe that it was actually real.

Peter only came to his senses when Betty walked into the women's locker room across the street and heard Flash's agonizing screams from not far away.

He quickly went into the men's locker room, took off his Spider Suit, and carefully examined the marks on it.

Fortunately, during the previous battle, Taskmaster's knife was disarmed immediately, and his bow and arrow were not effective in the cramped space of the toilet, so Taskmaster was actually fighting Peter hand-to-hand throughout the entire fight.

Because of the difference in their physical abilities, he was always able to deal with Taskmaster with ease, and his suit didn't get dirty.

Well, at most it smells like baby powder.

This was a valuable lesson learned from The Amazing Spider-Man B, and Peter kept it firmly in mind.

Just to be on the safe side, Peter also got some other brand of talcum powder from Aunt May, different from the one he usually used, in order to avoid people associating it with him.

Peter changed back into his own clothes, took out the watch containing the nanosuit from the locker, put it on, and hesitated for a moment as he was about to leave the men's locker room.

Should we wait for Betty, or make a quick getaway?

Chapter 106: Kill Ned?

A short while later, Peter appeared in the toilet.

He ultimately decided to run away.

The main problem is that he hasn't figured out how to handle his relationship with Betty yet.

He and Betty weren't actually that close, so this sudden turn of events really caught him off guard.

Moreover, he has two very important things to do right now.

The first thing to do is to check if Taskmaster has been taken away by Tony Stark's men.

Although this guy didn't know his true identity, he seemed to know about "Spider-Man at Midtown Tech High School" through some channel.

Even someone as powerful as Iron Man had his villa bombed once after he revealed his identity.

He might be able to protect himself with his strength, but his family and friends will definitely be caught in a vortex of trouble.

However, when Peter opened the two toilet stall doors one by one, he found that Ned and Taskmaster were gone.

He soon received a message from Tony Stark.

It turns out that when the Avengers' logistics personnel came to take Taskmaster away, they discovered Ned, and then Tony Stark had Happy come and take Ned away.

The reason Happy was sent instead of the Avengers' logistics personnel was because Happy was Tony Stark's head bodyguard and driver.

He also knew Peter's hidden identity.

As for the Avengers' support staff, the personnel were a mixed bag, and Tony Stark didn't really trust them.

Because of the precedent of S.H.I.E.L.D. almost becoming "Hydra," and because the Secretary of State was aware of many of the Avengers' operations.

Does anyone know what the main composition of these logistics personnel is?

Remnants of Hydra?

The eyes sent by the Secretary of State?

Or even the eyes of other forces?

Since Tony Stark has decided to protect Spider-Man, he will not easily reveal his true identity under the mask until he has made all the necessary preparations.

Otherwise, he could have just found anyone to coordinate with him. Why bother having Happy, his trusted confidant who had been with him for many years, do this?

Seeing this, Peter quickly sent a message explaining his relationship with Ned, and then hurriedly left.

Peter met Happy and Ned in a car outside the school.

The two chubby guys stared at each other in the back seat, making the originally spacious back seat feel cramped.

Peter reached out and pulled Ned out of his seat: "Happy, I've spoken to Mr. Stark. I'm taking this guy with me. I'll handle his affairs."

"Alright, actually I think the simplest way is," Happy waved his hand and made a shooting gesture, "would you like to consider it?"

Peter: ? Your method of keeping secrets is effective, but isn't it a bit too hasty?

Ned: ⊙﹏⊙∥ So I was just dragged away by this fat bastard to be shot? I almost died?

Ned muttered under his breath, but subconsciously shrank his neck, afraid that this vicious fat man would pull out a gun and kill him at the slightest provocation.

Peter looked at Happy speechlessly. Although he hadn't had much contact with Happy, he knew Happy's personality and knew he wasn't the kind of person who would indiscriminately kill innocent people.

Happy winked at him.

Peter probably understood what he meant: See, I scared him. Now you should be able to talk to him more easily.

You are quite a nice person!

Peter put his arm around Ned's shoulder and dragged him toward a secluded corner of the school.

“Peter, you really are…” Ned only became active again after getting away from Happy, it seems that Happy had caused Ned considerable psychological trauma.

Peter nodded: "Keep it a secret."

“Why?” Ned said, “Everyone likes you. You’ve seen it yourself. You’re not only a celebrity at Midtown Tech High School, but you’re a celebrity in the whole of Queens!”

“Because I’m just a student, what do you think I’ll do if my identity is exposed? What if those bad guys I’ve dealt with turn their revenge on Aunt May, you, and the other classmates?” Peter patiently explained to Ned.

Ned was his best friend, and he shouldn't have kept this a secret in the first place.

But he had to keep it a secret, because Ned was a true teenager—which was actually similar to him before.

Young people are often eager to show off their talents to others, wishing the whole world would know of their existence.

Peter has matured a lot after experiencing so much, but Ned has not.

Fortunately, Ned was a man who listened to advice, and after Peter said that, he immediately understood the implications and swore to Peter that he would not reveal this matter to anyone.

He wouldn't even tell his grandmother!

“However, could you let me be the man behind you?” Ned suggested excitedly.

"What does the man behind me mean?" Peter asked, puzzled.
