Scott waved his hand: "Just don't meet here. I'll be finishing my sentence in a few months, and I don't want anything to go wrong. Those guys said that if I meet with Hank and his group privately, I'll face more than twenty years in prison!"

Peter, however, offered him a tempting offer: "What if you join the Avengers?"

Scott paused, stopping his antics, and looked intently at Peter: "You mean..."

Peter didn't answer him immediately. Instead, he turned around, opened the lid of the transparent plastic box in his hand, took out the monitoring ants inside, and placed them on the ground.

The ant immediately crawled down the ground to the corner of the wall, disappeared into a crack, and vanished.

Peter turned to Scott and smiled, "Your house seems to have been quite infiltrated."

Scott's face darkened again, and he said helplessly, "I did make quite a few nests for them at home before, but unfortunately my suit was taken away."

“Scott, you’re just an accomplice, and you’ve been very cooperative. They say two years, but that’s just a formality. If you join the Avengers and become an officially registered Avenger, then you can get the remaining months,” Peter patted him on the shoulder and whispered a suggestion.

“Really!” Scott’s eyes lit up.

He did not doubt Peter's words.

Anyone who follows the news even slightly knows that Spider-Man is a rising star in the Avengers, and he has been very active in the past year. He certainly has a certain amount of influence within the Avengers.

While the Avengers are a private team organization, they have naturally acquired a certain degree of official status since the signing of the Sokovia Accords.

Whenever the Avengers are mentioned, they are always associated with various super events.

They were almost equated with resolving such incidents.

If he could gain membership in the Avengers, everything would naturally fall into place.

However, Peter's plan was thwarted by two people who appeared shortly afterward.

One of them was an old man with gray hair and a white beard. He looked very refined and had the air of a scientific researcher.

The other person was a woman who looked to be in her thirties. From her demeanor, Peter could tell that she was "quite capable."

This is Dr. Hank Pym and his daughter Hope van Dyne.

Scott felt both guilty and anxious when he saw the two of them there.

The guilt stems from the fact that, because of him, Dr. Pym and Hope were both violated by the Sokovia Accords and were subsequently wanted by the authorities.

The reason they were anxious was that if their presence here were discovered, firstly, they might be arrested, and secondly, he might face a prison sentence of more than twenty years!

"You shouldn't be here! Shrink and get out of here!" Scott said anxiously in a low voice.

Hope glanced at him, then took out something and waved it around: "Don't worry, the little eyes down there watching you are busy right now, we have at least half an hour."

That was a remote control.

Peter didn't understand, but Scott did.

This is a remote control device that can control the movement of ants. It seems that they used the ants to make some small movements on the car below that was constantly monitoring Scott, so that he would not have time to pay attention to this place for the time being.

-

At that moment, downstairs at Scott's house, Old Black, who had just finished a game of chess and was about to get up and stretch, suddenly smelled gasoline as soon as he got out of his car.

He quickly lay down and looked down, discovering that oil was leaking from under his car, drop by drop.

"Damn it!" Old Dark cursed, took out his phone to report the situation to headquarters, and then contacted a tow truck to help remove the car.

Meanwhile, the handheld infrared scanner he had kept in his car to monitor Scott's home was quietly dragged under the seat by a group of ants.

-

"Stark brat, you want to spy on the Pym Particles?" Dr. Pym said in an unfriendly tone.

Peter ignored the ambiguity in his words and said, "I am indeed interested in the Pym particle, but not in the particle itself, but in what it represents."

“I didn’t come here to listen to this!” Dr. Pym rudely interrupted Peter. “I swore that I would never let the Stark family get my research results, never!”

"Alright, alright, since there's nothing to talk about, why did you come to me?" Peter said helplessly. "As the king of ants, why aren't you at home laying eggs and running around? Besides, let me make it clear, my surname isn't Stark."

"You're not here on behalf of Stark?" Dr. Pym asked.

“I’m here on my own!” Peter emphasized, then stood up. “Since Dr. Pym doesn’t want to talk about it, I think I’ll have to find the mysteries of the quantum realm myself. What a pity, what a pity.”

With that, Peter walked toward the door.

"What are you regretting?" Dr. Pym finally spoke as Peter reached the top of the stairs and prepared to go down.

He couldn't resist his curiosity.

The quantum realm remains quite mysterious, even in this day and age.

Even though he has studied quantum physics for a long time, he has never really gotten involved in it.

For years, he firmly believed that his wife Janet was not dead, but trapped in the quantum realm. Therefore, he had been trying to rescue Janet.

However, no matter how hard he tried over the years, he never truly came into contact with its existence.

Until Scott came along.

Scott inadvertently compressed himself to the subatomic level and entered what appeared to be the quantum realm, where he even saw Janet's image!

This confirms his long-standing commitment.

Despite this, more than a year has passed, and Dr. Pym has still not found a way to safely enter the quantum realm to explore its secrets.

Scott's entry was completely accidental, and he doesn't even remember how he got out.

Peter was the second person he met who actively sought out the secrets of the quantum realm.

This is also why he was willing to put aside his prejudice against Stark and meet with Peter.

Chapter 168 The Purple Sweet Potato Spirit in My Dream

However, what he didn't know was that Peter had already reviewed all of these things based on the information he had.

His actions were precisely to lure Dr. Pym out on his own!

Dr. Pym deliberately made a few sarcastic remarks to Peter for two reasons: first, because he did have a grudge against Howard Stark and the Stark family had never gotten along; and second, to test Peter's character.

The two, one old and one young, were like an old fox and a young fox. After testing each other for a while, they sat down again to discuss the matter.

Peter's request to see Dr. Pym was essentially to see if he could find a way to enter the quantum realm and compare it with his own glowing spiderweb. He also hoped to learn some quantum physics along the way, laying the foundation for his future research.

Dr. Pym, on the other hand, wanted to see if combining technology and magic could help him enter the quantum realm, because Peter possessed what appeared to be quantum energy—a kind of astral projection—and could even make contact with mages who had mastered more spells.

Both of them got what they wanted.

However, Peter calmly deflected Dr. Pym's subtle attempts to find out more about Strange.

While the dimensional energy used by Strange and his team is likely a type of quantum energy, Peter is unsure whether they can enter the quantum realm.

So at least for now, it's absolutely impossible for them to have access.

Otherwise, how could he possibly use Dr. Pym's research to explore the quantum realm?

However, as a gesture of goodwill in exchanging information, Peter told Dr. Pym everything about his experience when he entered the astral projection state, his experience when he traveled to other parallel universes through the glowing spider web, and even his experience of witnessing and coming into close contact with the quantum energy explosion in the Earth-1610B universe.

Dr. Pym didn't really feel much after hearing the first two.

But the explosion of the super particle collider plunged Dr. Pym into deep thought.

"You mean it's a quantum frenzy caused by a large number of particles colliding with each other?" Dr. Pym asked thoughtfully.

He didn't even think about where Peter had gone through all of this.

Peter nodded. "Dr. Pym, do you have any thoughts?"

Dr. Pym frowned and pondered for several minutes, then suddenly slapped his thigh: "I've got it!"

Suddenly, he muttered to himself, "While I can't create a machine capable of massive particle bombardment, I can confine them all within a miniature force field with high energy, shaping the field into a spiral that shrinks from the outside in, allowing the Pym particles to pass through the body while preserving its integrity."

He became more and more excited as he spoke, then quickly pulled Hope, who was talking to Scott, away from there, leaving Peter and Scott looking at each other in bewilderment.

After a while, Hope suddenly ran back and tossed Peter a note: "This is our contact information. Your partnership with my dad is still valid. We'll contact you once we have results. You can also contact us, but my dad doesn't like being bothered when he has nothing to do."

“Okay,” Peter put the note away, borrowed a piece of paper and a pen from Scott, and left his contact information on it before handing it to Hope.

Of course, Peter left the "Spider Squad's" public phone number.

Anyway, once the call goes through, one of Peter, Betty, or Ned will be able to receive it.

-

After Dr. Pym and Hope left, Peter also said goodbye to Scott, promising to visit him when he had time.

Dr. Pym was very unhappy about Peter's interest in Scott and claimed that Scott would not be allowed to join the Avengers because the Avengers were being run by the Stark brats.

As the second-generation Ant-Man, Scott would never allow himself to be inferior to Howard!

He said that if Scott insisted on joining the Avengers, he would take back the Ant-Man suit, forcing Scott to join as a thief.

At this point, Scott dared not make a move, no matter how tempted he was.

Although he is quite capable, without the Ant-Man suit, he would just be a logistics worker with some abilities. What would be the point of joining the Avengers then?

And would the Avengers really let him join in that situation?

Even with Peter Parker, Spider-Man, as the introducer, Scott was still very skeptical.

Therefore, Peter's plan to win over Scott could only be aborted.
