Snape had no time for arguing with Zicomo, and he said bluntly, "Get me in touch with Ms. Granger."
Okay, so he wasn't there to see him after all.
Zicomo turned and went back into the house, calling Mrs. Granger, who was at work, to tell her to get ready.
Mrs. Granger on the other end of the phone was confused, but the next moment she saw Zicomo and Snape appear in front of her.
"Snape said Leah is about to give birth and would like your help to deliver the baby," Zicomo stated his purpose.
Mrs. Granger: "What! How would I know this! Shouldn't we be at the hospital right now?"
“We wizards have special potions for childbirth to ensure a smooth delivery. You just need to help cut the umbilical cord and such. Snape, being a grown man, isn’t really suited to do these things,” Zicomo said, waving his hand.
Before coming, Zicomo had suggested that Snape take Leah to the hospital, but he said he didn't trust Muggle technology.
As for asking friends in the wizarding world for help?
Sorry, he's a loner and doesn't really have many friends.
Lucius might be one, but the problem is he's also a man.
What could Mrs. Granger say? She had no choice but to accept the situation.
Seeing that Mrs. Granger agreed, Zicomo Apparated her back home.
.......
Seeing that Mrs. Granger was only feeling a little unwell and did not experience the severe vomiting that often occurs when using Apparition for the first time, Zicomo nodded silently.
It seems his modification of the magic worked quite well.
But now is not the time to talk about that.
Snape led Mrs. Granger to his house and stopped at the door of Leia's room.
He took out two vials of medicine and handed them to Mrs. Granger, saying, "Please give this blue one to Leah after you go in, so the baby can be delivered smoothly. Give the other one to Leah after you cut the umbilical cord; it will help her recover her strength."
Mrs. Granger took the medicine, took a deep breath, and went into the room.
Things went much more smoothly than she had imagined. After Snape used the potion, the passage widened to the point where the entire baby could come out.
The baby slid right out of Leah's belly.
Mrs. Granger recalled the actions of the doctors and nurses when she gave birth to Hermione, as well as the half-baked knowledge she had gleaned from medical books.
The entire delivery process was completed somewhat hastily.
Snape and his companion, who were waiting outside the room, soon heard the sound of a baby crying coming from inside.
Not long after, Mrs. Granger came out, remarking that she wished she had had this potion when she gave birth to Hermione.
“Alright, everything went smoothly, it’s a girl. You can go in and see the mother and daughter now,” Mrs. Granger said to Snape.
Snape left a thank you and hurried inside.
"Why don't you go back and change your clothes first, and then come back later?" Zicomo suggested.
It was clearly a stretch to have Mrs. Granger deliver the baby, as her clothes were stained with various fluids, including amniotic fluid.
Mrs. Granger glanced at herself and said, "You're right, you can go in and take a look first, I'll come back later."
After saying that, she left Snape's house.
Zicomo entered Leia's room and saw Snape awkwardly trying to take the child from Leia's arms.
He found it amusing and offered a reminder: "When holding a baby, you should support the baby's back, neck, and head with one hand, and support the baby's buttocks and waist with the other hand."
Snape did as he was told, and the baby seemed to feel comfortable in the position, smiling in his arms.
Snape also broke into a bright smile, which seemed to be the first time Zicomo had ever seen him smile so happily.
Not long after, the baby started crying loudly.
Snape was at a loss and turned to Zicomo for help.
Zicomo sighed helplessly, wondering where in his brain Snape had put the parenting tips he had learned from Lady Granger, even though he had memorized quite a bit of what he had heard.
"The baby is probably hungry. Let's give her back to Leah. Let's go outside and let Leah breastfeed her."
Snape did as he was told, handed the child to Leah, and went out with Zicomo.
Chapter 105 The Repercussions of the Philosopher's Stone, A Visit to the Malfoy Family
Even after leaving the room, Snape's lips were still slightly upturned, his joy impossible to hide.
"Congratulations on becoming a father," Zicomo said.
"Thank you."
What name do you plan to name the child?
“Lillian, I plan to call her Lillian.”
Well, just hearing the name Zicomo tells me that Snape still cares about Lily.
He didn't say much, after all, first love is often the most profound experience.
Zicomo patted Snape on the shoulder and reminded him, "Don't forget what Leia did for you."
Snape nodded: "Don't worry, Lydia agreed to the name too."
Zicomo rolled his eyes inwardly. Of course she's willing to help you carry the child, why would she disagree with a name?
Zicomo said no more. These two were willing to hit and be hit, it was a matter of mutual consent, why should he interfere?
"By the way, I'd like to ask you to be my child's godfather."
Snape suddenly steered the conversation toward Zicomo.
Zicomo: "Are you serious? Please! I'm not even fourteen yet. Have you ever seen a teenager become someone's godfather?"
Snape glanced at him and said quietly, "I've never seen a teenager with a fiancée at this age."
"That's because you haven't been to the East. In our area, arranged marriages were even common in the past."
"Then there's even less of a problem having you as the godfather."
Zicomo hadn't expected to get himself into this mess, but seeing Snape's pleading look, he didn't refuse again.
"Okay, I'll just agree."
Snape nodded in satisfaction.
…………
That evening, Snape specially invited the Granger family to his home for dinner.
However, the dinner was prepared by Leah and Mrs. Granger, with Zicomo also providing considerable assistance.
At first, it was Leia who wanted to cook herself. Snape's potion-making skills were unparalleled. After giving birth, Leia was full of energy and busy in the kitchen after a few potions.
Later, Mrs. Granger, worried that Leah hadn't fully recovered, came to the kitchen to help.
Zicomo was a little embarrassed, since he had brought his whole family along, including several mouths to feed, and even Ratahn had come to join in the fun.
In addition, he hadn't cooked in a long time, so he went into the kitchen with Mrs. Granger.
As for Snape, he wanted to go back to Hogwarts and bring back two house-elves to help, but Leia refused.
As the banquet began, everyone first raised their glasses of various drinks and alcohol, and then the table was divided into three camps.
Mrs. Granger and Lydia chatted about precautions for pregnant women while eating, while Ratan, Lani, and the others worked diligently, especially the Asian dishes made by Zicomo, which were almost entirely devoured by Lani.
Meanwhile, Zicomo started chatting with Snape.
"I really don't know what kind of miracle Lockhart had, that he went from a mere figurehead to one of the elite wizards overnight," Snape said somewhat indignantly.
"What? Are you envious?" Zicomo asked.
Snape scoffed and said, "Hmph, who would envy power of unknown origin?"
"Don't worry, the source of that power is absolutely normal." Zicomo waved his hand.
"How do you know... that power was given to him by you?"
Snape was somewhat incredulous. He and Zicomo were, on the surface, master and student, but he never expected that Zicomo would actually help outsiders to deal with his teacher.
"Hmm, he gave up his loyalty and exchanged it for that power from me."
Zicomo told Snape about Lockhart's situation.
He went on to explain, "I never expected that the first thing he would do after recovering would be to cause trouble for you."
Snape didn't believe Zicomo's nonsense. You skipped the Duel Club classes every time, but then Lockhart recovered and you suddenly appeared in class.
He said that the reason Zicomo happened to come to class that day was because he was there to watch the excitement.
"Are those runes difficult to carve?" Snape asked.
Zicomo didn't answer, but instead asked, "What? You want one too?"
"Ahem, you haven't given Lillian her gift yet, Godfather."
Snape's expression remained unchanged, showing no embarrassment whatsoever.
"Tch, just say you want it. I can give Lillian her gift right now."
