The original intention of writing this book is actually very simple. I accidentally read the book "The Jewish War" in an elective course. I felt that the content and the background of this era were quite interesting, so I wanted to write a related story myself.

I am completely sharpening my sword in classical history. Three months ago, I couldn’t even explain basic events such as the First Triumvirate and the Second Triumvirate and the Gracchumarian Reform. I read some of them while writing the book in the past two months. Let’s say that my knowledge reserve can cope with the job. Anyway, I am very happy to write it, because I can learn some other knowledge while writing, which can be regarded as broadening my horizons. If I didn’t write this book, I probably wouldn’t have read this period of classical history.

This is largely the reason why I write slowly. I know too little. I often look up things while writing, so I can't write fast.

Because my problem is that my writing is plain and has no twists and turns, and the character creation is thin. If I realize the problem, I have to change it. I can't change it if I don't write it, and I can't stay in my comfort zone all the time. It's even worse if I don't practice if I don't write well.
