"I know that for the past 8 years that I went missing, you and Emilia have been badly hurt!

"If it would make you feel better, I will stand right here so that you can hit me!"

How could he be mad?

His mother-in-law was the one who gave him a second chance in life!

He had indeed made lots of mistakes!

He would have to stand up straight if he was being punished!

So, he stood with his back straight like a soldier, and his eyes looked determined.

Mary Grimm was a kind-hearted woman. No matter how badly she had been tortured in the past, she still wasn't cold-hearted enough to hit Oliver Walker.

It was incredibly difficult for her to explain the suffocating feeling inside her heart!

She screamed in rage, "Leave now!

She was screaming at the top of her lungs. She was venting all of the anger that she had accumulated for the past 8 years!

However, Oliver Walker did not move an inch!

He would rather die by getting hit than leave this place!

The place that he had been dreaming of for the past 8 years!

Emilia took a deep breath as she calmed down, "I overestimated your morals and underestimated how monstrous you can be!"

Such harsh words were like a huge bomb that blew inside Oliver Walker's heart!

Mary Grimm held onto the broom as her body trembled!

She wanted to kill this man standing right in front of him but...

She was too soft-hearted to actually hit him!

Oliver Walker was utterly confused, "Why?!"

He could understand the coldness that came from his mother-in-law.

No matter how angry she was, Oliver could handle it!

But why was it that his wife who had just promised to give him a chance suddenly changed her mind?

It wasn't unacceptable for him because he hadn't gotten the acknowledgment after giving so much to the family.

It was merely because if his wife didn't choose to accept him, it meant that he would be forced to stay outside of this door forever.

Emilia's eyes were filled with tears as she said, "You should know why!

Her mother was right! She understood it now!!

If Oliver Walker was indeed a wounded soldier who returned from the frontline, there would be a welcoming ceremony from the government of Colorado, right?

But, why didn't they see any of it?

Instead of having to guess and live a life where she felt uneasy, she should just kick Oliver Walker out of the family. This way, she would never have any troubles!
