Naruto: From Kushina Uzumaki onwards, a traitor

Qianyu nodded: "Okay, then you can go back to Ryuchi Cave first. I will summon you again later."

The white snake transformed into a wisp of smoke and disappeared back into Ryuchi Cave.

After swallowing a soldier's ration pill and recovering some chakra, Chiyu carried Kushina Uzumaki and headed towards Konoha.

Perhaps due to the jolting, Kushina Uzumaki, who was in Chiba's arms, woke up.

Kushina Uzumaki, now awake, remained silent, staring intently at Chiba's face.

Seemingly noticing Kushina's intense gaze, Chiba looked down and found that Kushina had woken up. Chiba asked with concern, "Kushina, how are you? Are you hurt?"

Kushina Uzumaki shook her head, indicating that she was not injured.

Qianyu said softly, "Then sleep a little longer. I'm actually feeling a bit calmer. I'll wake you up when we get to Konoha."

Suddenly, Kushina Uzumaki wrapped her arms around Chiba's neck and gently kissed Chiba's cheek.

Qianyu suddenly stopped in her tracks, her body frozen in place as if she had been struck by a spell.

After giving Chiyu a light kiss on the cheek, Kushina buried her head in Chiyu's shoulder and sobbed, "Chiyu, the thought that I might never see you again terrifies me. I don't know what to do... Thank you, Chiyu, thank you for always being by my side, thank you for everything."

Chiba raised her right hand and gently wiped away the tears from Kushina's eyes, smiling as she murmured, "Kushina, actually, I should be thanking you. After our parents passed away, I was just living to survive, but now it's different. My world has you, and only you..."

Chapter 45 Imminent

Kushina Uzumaki, nestled in Chiyu's arms, had fallen asleep again, her head resting against his chest.

Feeling Kushina's even breathing, Chiba felt like he was on steroids, full of energy and light as a feather.

Upon returning to Konoha, Chiba's smile vanished instantly, replaced by an unapproachable demeanor.

The ninjas guarding the gates of Konoha noticed Kushina Uzumaki in Chiba's arms and immediately surrounded her.

"Chiba, what happened? Why did Kushina Uzumaki and you come back from outside the village?"

The situation is becoming increasingly tense, and Konoha ninjas are required to register before leaving the village.

Chiyu's icy gaze swept over the group of ninjas surrounding him: "Kushina was kidnapped by ninjas from Kumogakure in Konoha. Haven't you noticed yet?"

"what?!"

The group of ninjas were utterly shocked.

It wasn't important to them that Kushina Uzumaki was kidnapped; what mattered was that she was kidnapped in Konoha.

One of the ninjas immediately rushed to the Hokage Building to report the matter to Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Qianyu ignored the questions from others and continued walking forward on her own.

Seeing that Chiyu was ignoring them, one of the ninjas became displeased and demanded, "Hey, Chiyu! We asked you questions, and you just left without answering?!"

Without turning her head, Chiyu coldly replied, "What good would it do me to answer you? As ninjas guarding Konoha, you know nothing about this matter. I don't know if you're incompetent or negligent. Whatever it is, I don't seem to have any obligation to answer you, because you are not my superiors."

Ignoring their flushed and pale faces, Qianyu walked straight ahead.

Chiba arrived at Mito Uzumaki's mansion.

Mito Uzumaki had already returned to her residence.

When Mito Uzumaki discovered that Kushina Uzumaki, who should have returned from her mission long ago, had not returned, she immediately went to find Hiruzen Sarutobi and told him about it.

Hiruzen Sarutobi immediately dispatched his ANBU to find Kushina Uzumaki's two companions to inquire about the situation. After learning that Kushina Uzumaki had already left, Hiruzen Sarutobi realized that something was wrong and had sent out almost all of his ANBU to search for Kushina Uzumaki.

Meanwhile, Mito Uzumaki was worried about Kushina Uzumaki's safety at the mansion.

Upon hearing the noise at the door, Mito Uzumaki eagerly opened it.

When Mito saw Kushina Uzumaki fast asleep in Chiba's arms, she breathed a sigh of relief, feeling a weight lifted from her heart.

Chiyu said expressionlessly, "Lord Mito, I've brought Kushina back. Kushina is very tired, so please trouble Lord Mito to take her to her room to rest."

Mito Uzumaki carefully took the sleeping Kushina Uzumaki. She had only been paying attention to Kushina Uzumaki before, but now that she was looking at Chiba, she noticed that Chiba was covered in marks of battle, and his clothes had many holes burned in them.

Mito Uzumaki asked with concern, "Chiba, are you injured?"

"I am not injured. I still need to go to the Hokage Building to report this matter to the Hokage. I will take my leave now."

Chiyu bowed to Mito Uzumaki and then left.

Mito Uzumaki watched Chiba's departing figure, her eyes flickering slightly.

Not far from the Hokage Building, a member of the Anbu appeared in front of Chiyu: "Chiyu, the Hokage wants you to see him immediately."

Chiba followed the Anbu to the Hokage Building.

Upon arriving at the Hokage's office, Hiruzen Sarutobi and Orochimaru were both inside.

Chiyu bowed and said, "Lord Hokage, Orochimaru-sensei."

Hiruzen Sarutobi approached Chiba and asked with a grave expression, "Chiba, what exactly happened?"

Chiba told Hiruzen Sarutobi what had happened.

Hiruzen Sarutobi's face turned extremely ugly, and Orochimaru's expression also became very serious.

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at Orochimaru: "Orochimaru, what do you think about this?"

After pondering for a moment, Orochimaru said, "In any case, one thing is certain: enemy ninjas have already infiltrated Konoha. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to kidnap Kushina so easily."

Hiruzen Sarutobi's expression was grim: "It seems they're about to lose their temper."

Chiba continued, "Lord Hokage, I have brought back the heads of three ninjas from Kumogakure."

Chiyu took out the scroll and handed it to Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Hiruzen Sarutobi perked up and praised, "Well done, Chiba! With their heads, we can have sensory ninjas analyze the memories in their minds and obtain information."

Hiruzen Sarutobi immediately summoned an Anbu ninja and instructed them to hand the scroll over to a sensory ninja for analysis.

Chiyu continued, "Lord Hokage, there is one more thing I need to report. I was on a mission to clear out pirates, and I discovered three ninjas mixed in with them."

Because I didn't know the identities of these three ninjas, but they were probably trying to infiltrate the Land of Fire, I didn't kill them; I captured them alive.

Qianyu used a spirit summoning technique to bring the white snake to life.

"White Snake, spit out those three ninjas."

"Yes, Lord Senba."

The white snake opened its mouth, its abdomen twitched, and it expelled the three ninjas from its belly.

Unfortunately, the ninja whose spine was severed by the back of Chiba's sword was crushed to death due to the confined space inside the White Snake's body.

However, the other two ninjas were still alive and had even woken up.

Seeing Chiba, Hiruzen Sarutobi, and Orochimaru watching them, especially Chiba, they immediately retreated in terror.

Hiruzen Sarutobi summoned another ANBU member, along with the deceased ninja, to have his memories analyzed by a sensory ninja. The other two surviving ninjas were taken to the interrogation department to be tortured by interrogation ninjas.

Hiruzen Sarutobi walked to the map on his desk and asked Chiba, "Chiba, where did you see that group of pirates?"

Qianyu pointed to a location on the map.

Upon seeing the location Chiyu pointed to, Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes narrowed immediately.

Orochimaru's hoarse voice came through: "It seems... Kirigakure is also planning to get involved."
