The young apostle was on the verge of collapse, his entire body drenched in cold sweat. He dared not look Jerry in the eye any longer, and could only lower his head, point his wand at the other man, and ask through gritted teeth.
Meanwhile, fine beads of sweat appeared on Flori's forehead, and his back was soaked with sweat. However, compared to the young apostle, he appeared much calmer. He was trying to calm the magic within him and maintain his composure.
"So he's just cannon fodder!" Jerry said with a sneer as he looked down at the apostles. Standing on high ground with his back to the moon, Jerry could see the two men's clothes clearly in the bright moonlight. After hearing the name "Flory" and seeing that the pattern embroidered on their clothes was the same as the mark on the inside of his wrist, he immediately understood where they came from.
“Before the operation, the Third Bishop did not tell you… who I am?” Jerry continued, but shook his head as he looked at the apostles below.
These are the organization members Catherine was talking about? That's ridiculous!
How can we build a business together with these scoundrels in the future?
“You are…” the apostle pursed his lips and said tremblingly. He was a bit of a fool, but he wasn’t stupid. He had already roughly guessed Jerry’s identity. “No wonder the Archbishop arranged for members of his own family to enter Hogwarts!”
"Avada Kedavra..." He wanted to make one last desperate attempt, but before he could finish the incantation, a drop of bright red blood landed on his face. It turned out that his hand, which was holding the wand, had been severed at the wrist, and blood splattered everywhere.
The apostle screamed, then stared blankly at Flory, who had been standing beside him. Sometime during the night, Flory, with his arms crossed, had pulled out his wand, the tip of which was pointing directly at his wrist.
"Flori, you lowly Mudblood wizard, do you intend to betray His Holiness the Bishop? Don't forget the curse in your blood and the blood of your family!"
Flori ignored the apostle's curses, grabbed him by the collar, lifted him up, and threw him at Jerry's feet. Then he broke his own wand and knelt down on one knee.
Seeing this, Jerry glanced at the apostle and then lost interest in him. He hung him upside down, intending to deal with him later, and then looked at Flory with interest, wondering what he was up to.
"How did you manage to evade surveillance and get to Hogwarts?" Jerry asked Flory curiously.
"Because from the very beginning, they were monitoring a fake 'Flory'!"
Florey replied in a cold tone.
"No wonder he's one of the top Aurors in the German Ministry of Magic!" Jerry nodded slightly. No wonder the Sorcerers and Catherine had been monitoring "One-Ear" for so long without getting any useful information!
"After going through all this trouble, what do you want with me? The Third Bishop's task for you is to capture me and hand me over to him, right?"
One-Eared Flory nodded, then his body twisted and transformed into a thirteen-foot-long black serpent.
"Blood Curse?" Jerry exclaimed in surprise. This wasn't an Animagus, but a Blood Curse Orc. He hadn't expected that besides the Nagini, there were Blood Curse Orcs now.
So, the "dirty" blood who sneaked into his room and was being chased by the basilisk was him! Jerry thought to himself.
"Wait, you're a man, how could you have the Blood Demon Curse?"
The Blood Curse is a malevolent curse that is passed down probabilistically between mothers and daughters. How could Flory, a grown man, have the Blood Curse unless he was the first mother?
“That’s right, it is indeed the Blood Curse!” Flori, who had returned to human form, said with his face still expressionless.
"So, you want me to help you break the curse? I don't have that ability. Besides, have you found the person who cast the curse on you? Try killing him and see if the curse can be broken!" Jerry leaned against the tree trunk, looking at Flori with a slight frown. He could cast blood curses, but he couldn't break them.
"It wasn't me, it was my daughter!" Flory's expression finally changed when she mentioned her daughter, and she said angrily, "She's also under this damned curse!"

Upon hearing this, Jerry sat up slightly. The Blood Curse is only inherited between mothers and daughters, so his daughter's curse should have nothing to do with him. This means that Flory's daughter was also cursed with this disgusting curse.
"This guy is really despicable! He's taking advantage of the whole family!" Jerry thought to himself.
“I already said, I can’t help you with the curse you’re under!” Jerry shook his head. “The only thing I can think of is to try killing the caster!”
“I understand all of this,” Flori said, clenching his fist. “I only ask one thing of Your Majesty: when I find the mastermind, I beg Your Majesty to kill him for me. I am willing to pay any price for this!”
Jerry didn't immediately agree to Flory's request. Normally, a revenge seeker would want to do it themselves, but Flory was pleading with Jerry to kill the culprit. This suggests that Flory already had a guess about the killer, and that this person's status or power far surpassed Flory's. Therefore, it was likely someone within that range…
"Is it the Third Bishop, or... another bishop?" Jerry asked thoughtfully.
Florey neither nodded nor shook his head; he had no definite answer in his mind.
Why should I help you? To put it another way, I don't trust you, and you have no value to me.
"I can provide you with information about the Third Bishop. He has always harbored great ill will towards you! This is the first time he has attacked you, but it certainly won't be the last!"
After hearing Flory's words, Jerry pondered for a moment. His words reminded Jerry of another pure-hearted hero from Hogwarts.
Flory is lucky; he has a wife and a child. Compared to him, the other person is utterly miserable!
Not only did his childhood sweetheart fall from the sky, but he also had to endure hardship and bide his time to protect his rival's child, lying in wait by the side of a dark demon, and finally perishing in the jaws of a snake! Ugh! That's too tragic!
“Not enough!” Jerry said after sorting out his thoughts. The Third Bishop had already made a move against him, so Jerry certainly wouldn’t hold back.
After taking a piece of parchment out of his pocket, Jerry checked the names and addresses written on it, and once he was sure there were no problems, he tossed it to Flory.
"This is!" Flory took the parchment, opened it, and his pupils suddenly contracted.
“It seems the Third Bishop trusts you a lot! He’s told you all this!” Jerry smiled at Flory. The parchment contained a list he had compiled from the Third Bishop’s files, which he had obtained from Catherine. It was a list of the Third Bishop’s most valued illegitimate sons. He was quite talented, had just graduated this year from Ivorymoney School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and instead of joining the Apostles, was working at the U.S. Ministry of Magic.
“I overheard it by chance!” Flori shook his head and said with a mocking tone, “I never thought that such a cruel and tyrannical person as the Third Bishop would have family he cared about, and even celebrate the birthday of this ridiculous bastard!”
"Really?" Jerry exclaimed in surprise. "But isn't this better? It's cleaner...leaving no one alive!"
“Come back and talk to me about the rest after you’ve finished this task!” Jerry continued in a gentle voice, as if it were just a trivial matter.
Flory paused, looking at Jerry whose expression remained unchanged and whose tone was still gentle, and couldn't help but feel a chill. However, he no longer had the right to choose. From the moment he helped Jerry, this gamble had already begun!
"Your Majesty, I...understand!"
Jerry's gaze returned to the young apostle who was hanging upside down.
"What does 'Mudblood wizard' mean?" Jerry had heard the word several times from the apostle, and turned to Flory with curiosity.
"An insulting term used by the apostles to refer to wizards other than themselves, similar to how pure-blood wizards refer to Muggle-born wizards as Mudbloods."
Good heavens, a Celestial Dragon among men! Jerry thought to himself.
“I hate that title!” Jerry said grimly, then put the young apostle down. “Besides, your performance today disappointed me greatly!”
Upon seeing that he had been put down, the apostle thought that Jerry intended to let him go. He, who had just sworn allegiance to the Third Bishop, immediately changed his tune and began calling him "Your Majesty" repeatedly.
Flori stood aside, looking at the young apostle, a hint of pity suddenly appearing in his eyes.
"thunderstorm"
Jerry sneered, his left hand transforming into a claw, pressing down on the apostle's head. Dark red lightning erupted instantly, his palm gently pressing down, the violent lightning piercing through him from top to bottom, inside and out.
A piercing scream echoed through the forest, but Jerry precisely controlled the power of the spell, causing the apostle to let out only one scream before it could no longer utter a sound and slowly died in agony.
The opponent's soul emerged amidst the baptism of thunder, undergoing constant shattering and reassembly. Ultimately, it transformed into a gray substance imperceptible to the naked eye, uncontrollably surging towards the Apostle's Mark on the inside of Jerry's wrist.
The thrill of devouring souls came quickly and went even faster; Jerry felt like it was over before it even began! He should have known better than to have the other apostle wasting his soul!
Ding! Thunderstorm Lv1 3.01%.
Jerry: ? ? The sudden system notification startled Jerry; he hadn't expected such an unexpected bonus!
But what the hell is this evil magic? It requires devouring souls to level up! That's too weird!
The key is that consuming a wizard's soul only adds such a small amount of progress. Jerry is afraid that before his spell level is maxed out, he will have killed all the wizards in the wizarding world!
Flory stood not far away, watching Jerry deep in thought, not daring to approach for a long time, his forehead still covered in cold sweat.
He was genuinely afraid that Jerry might kill him in his excitement, since he was already here!
Once he regained his senses, Jerry looked down at the charred corpse at his feet and snapped his fingers. Instantly, a seemingly slender, bluish-purple fire serpent appeared and swiftly flew towards the corpse. The moment it touched the body, it expanded, transforming into a terrifying fire serpent that completely devoured the corpse. In the blink of an eye, the corpse vanished without a trace, leaving only charred marks on the ground, just like the eight-eyed giant spider in the depression.
"Why are you standing so far away?" Jerry said, looking at Flory who was still backing away. "Am I that scary?"
Flory: ...
Chapter 143 I'm such a good person!
A car traveling at high speed suddenly emerged from the bushes in front of Hagrid's cabin and came to an abrupt stop in the open space in front of the cabin.
Due to inertia, Harry and the others nearly crashed into the windshield. Toothpick couldn't wait to get out of the car window. As soon as Harry opened the door, it quickly dashed through the bushes, tail tucked between its legs, and rushed eagerly towards Hagrid's hut.
After Harry got out of the car, Neville followed him, his legs weak and trembling as he got out. About a minute later, Ron seemed to regain feeling in his limbs, and he slowly got out of the car, but his neck was still stiff and his eyes were vacant.
Harry patted the car gratefully, and it turned around and drove into the woods, gradually disappearing from sight.
Tooth was trembling under the blanket in the basket, clearly terrified. Ron, on the other hand, was vomiting painfully in the pumpkin patch.
“Those spiders,” Ron said weakly, wiping his mouth with his sleeve, “I will never forgive Hagrid. We are lucky to have survived.”
"You guys really went to the Forbidden Forest? Where's Jerry? I can't find him!"
The sudden sound startled the three, who were already on edge. They then noticed that Hermione, wearing a thick coat, was sitting on the steps in front of Hagrid's hut.
"When did you get here?" When Harry, Meghan, and Hermione saw that it was Hermione, they patted their chests, sighed, and their legs went weak, so they collapsed onto the stone ground.
"Do you three think you can keep it from me as long as Jerry doesn't tell me? Where is Jerry?" Hermione tilted her head slightly, her eyes filled with disdain.
“Jerry, he…he’s definitely in his dorm! It’s just the three of us tonight.” Harry felt a little awkward and smiled. Jerry had specifically told them during the day not to tell Hermione about tonight’s events. After thinking it over, they agreed it was best not to tell Hermione yet, because if she found out, she would definitely object vehemently.
"Heh! Do you think I'm as easy to fool as you are? Harry, didn't you notice that Neville lowered his head and wouldn't look at me when I asked you about Jerry?!" Hermione looked at Harry, who was glancing around, stood up on the steps, looked down at the three of them, and said in a cold tone.
The three looked up at Hermione, who stood on the high steps with a serious expression. Her presence instilled a sense of fear in them. They felt as if they were facing Professor McGonagall, not a classmate.
“Jerry, he… he’s still in the Forbidden Forest. We encountered the Eight-Eyed Spider, and Jerry stayed behind to cover our retreat…” Under Hermione’s “imposing” gaze, Harry finally couldn’t withstand the pressure after a moment and couldn’t help but tell her what they had just encountered in the Forbidden Forest.
"How could you leave Jerry alone in the Forbidden Forest to fight the Giant Spider? It's too dangerous! I have to go find him!"
Upon hearing this, Harry and the others quickly tried to stop them. They had barely managed to escape using the Weasleys' magical car.
"Where are you going?"
A voice, clear and bright like spring water, yet carrying an untainted calmness, echoed in the deep darkness. The group immediately looked in the direction of the voice and saw a mysterious and eerie black figure standing silently beneath the dense shade of the trees.
Although the group couldn't make out the newcomer's identity, those scarlet eyes involuntarily evoked the pain and fear in their hearts, drawing them into the shadows and making them feel an indescribable horror and unease.
Neville was so frightened that his legs went weak, and he leaned limply against the wall before finally fainting.
The others retreated hastily, their faces filled with panic and their eyes brimming with a desperate desire to escape. Even Hermione was pale, unable to conceal her terror.
"What's wrong with you all? Can't you even recognize my voice?" Jerry looked at the group speechlessly. Why did they act like they saw me committing murder and arson?
By the dim light outside Hagrid's hut, Hermione finally saw the person walking towards them.
"Jerry? Thank goodness, you're alright!" she called out tentatively. Once she confirmed it was indeed Jerry, Hermione finally relaxed. She ran joyfully to Jerry, wrapped her arms around his neck, and hugged him tightly, unwilling to let go for a long time.
"Jerry, are you hurt!" Hermione suddenly asked worriedly, quickly releasing Jerry. Her gaze swept carefully over Jerry's body, and her hands gently searched his body.
"What could possibly happen to me?" Jerry shrugged easily and said with a smile. Those Eight-Eyed Giant Spiders were just a warm-up for him. It was only the first Apostle's lack of sportsmanship, attacking him from behind, that left him a bit disheveled, with some scrapes on his arm and face.
Hermione took out her handkerchief and gently and carefully cleaned and bandaged Jerry's scrapes. She then meticulously tidied his disheveled clothes, doing everything in an orderly fashion, occasionally muttering a soft complaint, a slight hint of dissatisfaction, about Jerry not taking her with him to the Forbidden Forest.
"Jerry, I'm so glad you're alright!"
Jerry looked at Harry and Ron, who were several meters away from him and Hermione, and Neville, who was leaning against the wall, and asked in confusion, "What happened to you guys? Were you injured? And Neville, how can you fall asleep in a place like this?"
