Hogwarts: I will never become the Dark Lord

"A house-elves who yearn for freedom, how rare!" Jerry muttered to himself.

Jerry remembered that Dobby's death had a significant impact on Harry; Harry only learned Occlumency after Dobby's death.

In the early morning light of early winter, the first day of November arrived quietly. A gentle breeze carried a hint of coolness, and Hogwarts Castle appeared and disappeared in the light morning mist.

"How is the situation? Were they petrified too?"

“I don’t know,” Hermione shook her head. “I heard she fell into a coma!”

Could it have been done by an apostle? Jerry thought to himself.

Voldemort needed Ginny Weasley to be resurrected, so logically she shouldn't be in any danger now. And since she hasn't died or been petrified, it shouldn't have been the Basilisk's doing.

"Let's go to the infirmary and see Ginny too!"

Jerry nodded in agreement; he also wanted to find out what had happened.

"Wait a minute, I forgot my things in the dorm, I need to go back first. Hermione, you go to the infirmary first! I'll be right there!"

Jerry, who had originally planned to go to the infirmary with Hermione, turned around and saw Catherine appear in the hall, and immediately realized that things were not so simple.

Catherine rarely frequented the castle, let alone appeared in the crowded halls.

"Okay, Jerry, I'll be going now. I'll wait for you at the infirmary!"

"Your Majesty, it's not Voldemort. The Horcruxes are still in Ginny Weasley's hands. We don't know why the Basilisk acted on its own."

“Your Majesty, do you think it could be… After all, besides you and Voldemort, he’s the only one with Parseltongue abilities,” Catherine said, looking at Jerry, who was deep in thought on the sofa.

“It shouldn’t be him. Harry Potter’s Parseltongue ability isn’t even as good as mine; he couldn’t possibly control a Basilisk!” Jerry shook his head. “Besides the three of us, are there any other Parseltongue users?”

"Absolutely not. Voldemort was the last descendant of the Gaunt family."

“Don’t act rashly yet. Dumbledore should be in the infirmary right now. I’m going to find him to confirm some things. I’ll come find you tonight!” Jerry said after a moment.

“Catherine understands!”

When Jerry entered the school infirmary, there were already quite a few people inside. Besides Dumbledore and several heads of the household, the four Weasley brothers stood by with worried expressions.

"How's it going?" Jerry came in and patted Hermione on the shoulder from behind.

"Madame Pomfrey said she's alright, just a bit shaken and fainted. She'll wake up soon!"

"It's good that you're alright!" Jerry said, trying to comfort him, but he was also a little surprised. He hadn't expected that he would be attacked by the basilisk and be completely unharmed.

“You knew I was looking for you?” Jerry asked, looking at Dumbledore by the wall.

“Sometimes your thoughts are actually quite easy to guess,” Dumbledore shrugged and said with a smile. “You’re more curious than anyone else! Come on, let’s talk in the Headmaster’s office. This isn’t the place to talk!”

Jerry didn't argue, but followed him to the principal's office.

“This attack is different from the last one!” Dumbledore said as soon as he entered the headmaster’s office.

"No, it was all the basilisk's doing."

Upon hearing Jerry's words, Dumbledore's expression instantly turned serious. He abandoned his previous relaxed demeanor and stared at Jerry with a grave look.

"Why are you looking at me! I didn't do it!"

What does this mean?! Am I such a cruel person? Jerry thought to himself.

Dumbledore: "..."

Judging from Dumbledore's expression, he probably knows that the Horcrux is in Ginny's hands. He's really carefree and not afraid of getting into trouble!

“I’m not doubting you! According to you, besides the Horcruxes in Ginny’s possession, the only one capable of doing that is… Harry!”
