"I understand, Professor!"
"Wait a minute, Jerry!" Flitwick couldn't help but remind him as he watched Jerry's departing figure, "Although the Inflation Charm isn't a malevolent spell, using it carelessly can still be dangerous!"
"Don't worry, Professor, I understand what you mean. It won't be used on people!" Jerry smiled and gave Flitwick a reassuring look.
In the Great Hall of Hogwarts, Harry walked over angrily, sat down at the long table, and remained silent.
Jerry looked at the others and asked curiously, "What's going on? Did something happen in the Greenhouse Herb Class?"
“It was Professor Lockhart. He went to the greenhouse to see Harry before Herbology class!” Neville whispered to Jerry.
Lockhart? Is he still at Hogwarts? Looks like he wasn't scared last night! Jerry thought to himself.
"He's so narcissistic!" Harry couldn't help but exclaim after Neville mentioned Lockhart. "He's just as annoying as Malfoy! I really don't understand why so many people like him!"
"Don't get angry yet. Gryffindors will be taking Transfiguration class later and Defense Against the Dark Arts class this afternoon, along with Slytherins!" Jerry said, handing Harry the schedule.
"No, Lockhart is annoying enough, and now we have to add Malfoy too, no~!"
……
Transfiguration is one of the most dreaded courses for many students. In Professor McGonagall's class, they were asked to transform a beetle into a button.
For most people, all their hard work amounts to nothing more than getting the beetle to keep dodging the wand and running around on the table. The wand simply can't be aimed at the beetle, let alone turn it into a button!
Jerry's beetle was the same; it scurried around his table at a fast pace, and Jerry spent ages trying to catch it. Even after catching it, it would run away again as soon as he pointed his wand at it. What was most infuriating was that the wretched bug would run and stop, as if mocking him.
Damn it! Those darn bedbugs!
After Jerry caught it again, he was filled with rage and decided to go all the way and cut off all of its legs.
After finishing, Jerry put the beetle on the table, and sure enough, it obediently stayed in place and didn't run away!
So Jerry quickly completed Professor McGonagall's task!
“Mr. Green has completed the task, Slytherin, five points!” Professor McGonagall showed the button that the beetle had turned into to the others.
As get out of class was about to end, Hermione finished Professor McGonagall's task and earned extra points. Harry was still catching beetles, while Ron accidentally crushed his own beetle because of his wand and then asked Professor McGonagall for a new one. Neville, needless to say, was also busy.

Finally, the bell rang, and Harry and the others breathed a sigh of relief, then sat in their seats for a long time, unable to recover.
“Ron, you need to get a new wand,” Harry suggested.
Ron didn't respond, but continued to vent his frustration with his wand. "Yeah, we'll definitely get another howling letter then."
"Let me see your wand, see if you can fix it!"
"Can it be fixed?" Upon hearing Jerry's question, Ron quickly handed him the wand.
Jerry took Ron's wand from him and then tried to repair it with a healing charm.
"Reparo (Repairing Charm)"
A series of crackling sounds, like firecrackers, were heard, clearly indicating that the spell had failed!
Seeing this, Ron sighed helplessly.
Jerry touched the broken end of the wand, his brow furrowed slightly.
"It shouldn't be a problem with the curse," Jerry thought to himself.
"Give me the wand after school today, and I'll try to fix it tonight!"
The reason it wasn't fixed wasn't due to the spell, but rather a problem with his yew wand. He planned to try the Elder Wand tonight!
"That's great, Jerry! You're amazing!" Ron was so excited he almost jumped up.
"How come you can even fix wands! Is there anything you can't do?" Harry and the others standing to the side looked at him incredulously.
"I understand a little! I understand a little!"
……
At noon, after lunch, Jerry and Hermione sat down in the courtyard of Hogwarts, which was shrouded in gloom.
"Jerry, is Professor Lockhart really as bad as you say? He seems really impressive in his books!"
"Isn't the Defense Against the Dark Arts class this afternoon? You won't need a year; after just one class, you'll know Lockhart's true level!"
“Okay!” Hermione looked at Jerry’s expression and actually believed him, because she had never seen him make a mistake in all the time she had known him.
This morning too, although Jerry's idea for Harry was outrageous, she felt that Jerry must have his reasons for thinking that way, maybe he knew some of Professor Snape's secrets!
Hermione didn't bother to ask, because even if she did, Jerry wouldn't tell her, or he would just brush her off with some excuse.
No wonder he's a descendant of Dumbledore; he enjoys being a riddle-maker just like him.
In the afternoon, Jerry and Hermione had just entered the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom when they noticed something was off about the atmosphere.
The Slytherin students, led by Malfoy, stared intently at Harry and his friends in the Gryffindor area. Harry, not to be outdone, also widened his eyes and glared back at Malfoy.
Perhaps because it had been so long, both of their eyes were bloodshot and red!
As Jerry and Hermione entered the quiet classroom, both sides turned to look at them simultaneously!
"Um... won't your eyes get dry if you don't blink for so long?"
Harry and Malfoy: "..."
"Everyone's here! Mr. Green is here too, please have a seat! Class is about to start!"
Just as everyone was at an impasse, Lockhart came out of his office. Seeing this, Jerry quickly pulled Hermione to sit down in a less crowded spot in the middle.
After all the students were seated, Lockhart coughed twice to clear his throat, then reached out and picked up "Sailing with Vampires" from Neville's desk, holding it up to show off his picture on the cover.
“Me,” Lockhart pointed to the photo on the book cover, “Giddro Lockhart, Order of Merlin, Third Class, Honorary Member of the Defense Against the Dark Arts, five times…”
He gave a long self-introduction, and then surprisingly handed out exam papers and started the test.
The test questions were even more bizarre, asking him what his birthday was, what his favorite color was, and so on.
Anyway, Jerry didn't know any of them. Hermione sat next to him, and she wrote one down, and Jerry copied it.
Lockhart came over midway, but was about to speak when Jerry's cold gaze deterred him. He then pretended not to see anything and turned to leave.
Lockhart is a coward who bullies the weak and fears the strong.
Half an hour later, everyone handed in their papers, and Lockhart looked through them in front of the whole class.
Hermione, on the other hand, sat in her seat questioning the meaning of life.
Although Jerry had told her some things about Lockhart beforehand, and she was somewhat prepared, but...
"Only Mr. Green and Miss Granger know my ideal... and selling my own brand of shampoo, a perfect score! Both of them are perfect!"
Jerry: How dare you! Just you wait, Lockhart. You like selling shampoo, huh? I'll introduce you to a big client after class—Severus Snape.
Chapter 93 The Third Crown Prince
“Alright, let’s get back to the topic of the lesson.” Lockhart carefully pulled a large cage covered with a cloth from behind the podium and solemnly placed it on the table.
He glanced around the classroom mysteriously, then lowered his voice and said, "Next, I'm going to show you something evil. But please stay calm and don't be scared."
He carefully lifted the cloth covering the cage. "These are the Cornish elves I just captured."
These little sprites have bluish-gray skin, are about eight inches tall, have pointed faces, and their voices are sharp and shrill, like a flock of budgerigars arguing.
The cloth covering the cage was removed, and the little sprites began to stir. They chirped and chattered, jumped up and down, shook the cage bars, and made all sorts of strange faces at those who approached them.
"Your lesson today is about dealing with these little guys!" he said, opening the cage door.
As soon as the Cornish elves were released, the classroom erupted into chaos.
Two of the elves grabbed Neville by the ears, lifted him up, and swayed him in the air. Several other elves rushed out the window, making a mess of the back of the classroom, with broken glass scattered everywhere.
The remaining sprites wreaked havoc in the classroom, splashing ink bottles at students, tearing textbooks to shreds, ripping down picture frames from the walls, turning over trash cans in the corner, and throwing students' backpacks and textbooks out of the broken windows.
Everyone was screaming in alarm, but Jerry was having a blast.
One after another, the dark blue sprites rushed towards him like rockets. Jerry then took his wand and used a spell to knock them away, heading straight for Lockhart's position.
Lockhart turned pale with fright upon seeing this and hurriedly dodged. Just as he was about to retaliate, the wand was snatched away by the elf and thrown out the window.
"Stop! Stop! Mr. Green, stop right now..."
“Come on, Mr. Lockhart. It’s just that you don’t have a wand. As a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, casting spells without a wand should be very easy for you!”
“Of course,” Lockhart stubbornly insisted, waving a book he had written around. But as Jerry swung his wand faster and faster, Lockhart looked increasingly disheveled!
Finally, he threw down the book in his hand, took off the robe that the Cornish elf had been pulling at, and ran back to his office.
"Slytherin, ten points! Mr. Green, I have other matters to attend to, so I'll leave the Cornish elf in your care!"
Jerry ran back to his office, slammed the door shut, and then heard Lockhart's voice.
That's it? Jerry realized he had overestimated Lockhart.
"Stop playing around, Jerry! Come help!"
"Alright! Alright! Freezing Charm!"
A freezing spell, a bit too much for a young wizard, appeared and accurately froze all the Cornish elves in place.
"Jerry, thank goodness you're here!" Hermione breathed a sigh of relief and patted her chest.
After seeing what was happening in the classroom, the other students crawled out from under their desks, looked at the little elves, felt a wave of fear, and then thanked Jerry!
"Hey Jerry, put me down first! I'm always the one who gets hurt!" Neville said sullenly, hanging from the chandelier.
After putting Neville down, the school bell rang, and everyone rushed out the door.
"What should we do with these little sprites? Should we put them in cages?"
“No need, Professor Lockhart will handle it!” With that, Jerry waved his wand, repairing and reinforcing all the windows, ensuring that at least the Cornish elves couldn’t escape.
"Are you sure he can handle it?" Hermione pointed towards the office.
"This is none of our business as students!" Jerry grinned mischievously, then led the group out of the classroom.
After leaving, Jerry slammed the door shut. The Cornish elves, now free, became active, frantically running around the classroom, trying to escape.
The Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office is inside the classroom; to get out, you have to walk through a classroom full of Cornish elves.
